I didn't even take off my jacket. after, I asked to see if my ankle is worse due to cartilage lost and a new pain I haven't felt before and all he said is i should "take rest because i'm healing slower" when I referred again to the fact it's not a sprain, it's worn down cartilage (that will not heal or regenerate) he doubled down that I simply need to rest more than previously. it all felt like a huge waste of time and effort. I would've preferred waiting 8 hours in an emergency room to see a doctor who will actually check me out so that I can confidently know if I was fine or not. I will not be going ever again. Already as a black woman I must advocate for my own health time and again because people do not believe me or take me seriously, this was one of those moments.

Now my spouse and I have been seeking alternative treatments across the city and we were recommended to this place by our friend. We liked Mike who specializes in osteopath treatment. He was excellent but we have our beef with the way this organization's front desk operate and how they conduct their business. I've seen some unhappy clients complaint about being charge on their credit card and were very upset with the front desk and I can't say exactly for what reason but later on, when I brought my mother for treatment, I was forced to fill in the form with my credit card number on it. That was a little much, because I did not have to do that when I came in earlier. But it told me something - and it made alot of sense as recently as last week when my wife left a message to cancel an appointment, they did not read the message and immediately charge to her credit card on the day that appointment was suppose to happen, without any prior warning!!. So I can understand now why that customer was unhappy with the front desk in one of my earlier visits as this has happened many times before (I presume) and has happen to us now. Look, its not like we're going to run away. We like Mike, so we'll come back. We constantly go for this sorts of treatment and money is not an issue for us, but to be treated this way only puts a bad taste and obviously sends the wrong message. We want to be good and loyal customers, but don't you think loyal customers should be treated better eh??

I always arrive at 7 to be given a number at 8:30 to maybe be seen at around 10:30. It's a long process, but much faster than other walk in clinics in Halifax from my experience. It really sucks that it takes out so much time from a day, especially if you're looking for prescription refills or small / quick procedures or check ups. The service is fine. The doctor is kind and efficient. It's nothing to write home about, but again- I can imagine everyone working in this field being overwhelmed and having to put up with a lot of impatience and harsh words. I try to redirect my frustration at the overall health system we have in place rather than the individual. I was unimpressed with the amount of ants everywhere - I don't know if this is because of the clinic being inside of Superstore, the trash not being taken out, or some other reason. It also doesn't smell clean, which is off putting for a clinic. When I wait for so long, especially to have someone look after my health, I want to feel... clean? Sanitary? I have come here a few times, but was unimpressed with my most recent visit due to the ants and state of the clinic.

Most of the workers just want to sit down and watch tv. When you do get someone who will work, they speed through as fast as they can, (doing a half-assed job) so they can leave early. When they sweep, they don't even sweep under the dining table. There could be visible crumbs, and they will leave them there. When they are in another room from you, they take their phone with them and are always on their phone instead of working. I could give ten other examples on the poor quality of the workers, but on to the company itself. On one holiday, they called to say that the worker had called in sick and they couldn't get someone to replace them, that they would send someone the next day. The next day they said they couldn't find anyone, so wouldn't be able to make up the visit. The next time the worker who had "cancelled" that day came, she said she was told that WE had cancelled! Obviously, the company didn't want to pay holiday pay (time and a half) so lied to both of us to cancel the visit. Their scheduler, Jen, constantly LIES. If you're disabled or elderly, she'll say that you're the one who's confused, to cover up her lying. When I reminded her that I had emails with schedules attached from her to corroborate my complaints, she stopped sending emails and schedules. She now refuses to put anything in writing, and will only speak (more like bark) at you over the phone. She is often rude, condescending and LIES as much as Trump. Between her and the terrible workers, this company is an absolute nightmare to deal with.

Called earlier in the week for an appointment for my daughter and was told that I could not walk in and my best chance was to call the day of for an appointment. Called on the weekend within 20 mins of the clinic opening and was told there were no appointments available but that I could walk in. We did that. Registered and waited for two hours without being placed in a room. I got fed up after watching patient after patient registered after my child were taken. When I went to reception to do the courtesy of saying we were leaving, i was told my child might be next depending on whether two people who had left or had not now shown up for their "appointments" arrived. New walk-in patients were arriving and being told that the wait was approx. an hour and the waiting area was fairly full. I have worked in the healthcare and have done this job before - there is no way a patient should be allowed to leave and come back or miss their appointment, and have priority over people who have been patiently waiting for two hours. To whoever owns this clinic, a polite word of advice. It is great that your clinic offers walk-in service (especially weekend hours) but if your clinic can't reasonably balance walk-in patients with "appointment" patients, pick a system and stick to it. The present system strikes me as a flagrant attempt to maximize billings, without regard to the interests of patients (walk-in and scheduled).
