Yelp We had a…read morelimited time frame to get a barndo built, so our research on this company was not thorough. This situation is exactly why anyone looking for a contractor should take the time to seek out and read reviews. We do not want any family to go through what we have been through over the last several months. Rockin B contracted to having our son moved in by July 14. As of today he is still not in his home. The GC was set up on a draw schedule and the bank released every draw on time and several were paid out early because he kept telling us he was out of money. The GC was asked multiple times if items such as toilets, tubs, tile, flooring, hot water heater, etc had been purchased. These are typical items in a new build outlined in a draw schedule. He assured us that all these items were purchased. The first of August we found out that he had not bought any of the material above. He then told my husband that he was out of money and we were left to finish the project out of pocket. The problems began from the start with him not overseeing the framing. When I arrived in Amarillo at the end of the framing, I noticed there was no room for a fridge. Framers had to move windows & doors. The laundry room was not framed according to plans. There was no room for the sink. Master closet had to be downsized and sink moved. The interior plumbing was all wrong. The plumber they hired plumbed for a tank water heater when a tankless was always the plan. The plumbing was not in the correct location for half bath or master, so concrete had to be busted. No dryer vent was installed. They only realized when we asked why there wasn't one. They had to cut drywall to add. Their electrician spent 8 wks in the house & was paid a lot of money. After weeks of asking, the GC finally fired him. The new electrician had to tear most everything out and made 65 drywall cuts. All the texture & painting had to be redone. The cabinets have been sanded and painted twice by their subcontractor. Several drawers & cabinets were misaligned or didn't open correctly. Cabinets were hung in the wrong place 4 different times. Our new hire had to rebuild a few door fronts due to uneven trim & a cabinet that was cracked. Spice drawers had to be rebuilt. They are now hand sanding and painting all cabinets for the 3rd time. The AC did not work after installation and we had to hire another company to come out and do the inspection and repairs. Those repairs cost us a significant amount of money to have a functioning AC. There was no duct work for bathroom vents. Vent insert for cooktop was left in kitchen with parts spread all over. Some of the windows were installed poorly and now need to be replaced. I asked the GC to contact window company back in April. I continued to remind him almost weekly to get the windows fixed or replaced. This never happened. We now have to purchase new windows and remove drywall to replace. The water & septic both failed inspection. The GC signed paperwork with the bank confirming each draw would be used appropriately and that any material kept off site was considered our property. He still has several items for our build at a location he refuses to disclose. We have had to purchase all that material (for a second time) and pay someone else to install. The contract included exterior work. Nothing has been paid for or completed outside. We will be paying for sod, landscaping, front and back porches, a driveway, wainscoting around home, and labor costs. Being that we paid him the full contracted price, our attorney has requested an accounting of the funds he received from us. After several attempts, we still have not received any accounting.

Usually don't like Sunday afternoon since it's family time but needed the work done. Karlos never showed up. He never called, text, or contact me at all. Today he had the nerve to call and want to come and do the work. I told him forget it and please don't contact me again. Well he sent me a text after I asked him not to contact me. Karlos is a liar and not dependable. So much for trying to help hi.

I don't recommend using jAC construction in Amarillo. He was to remove my tub and install a shower…read more The first go around after he finished the shower it did not slope to where it would drain. He had to rip out all of the floor tile in the shower and redo it. When he did that he didn't cover the drain hole so all kids of mudding and gunc used went in tge drain so it wouldn't drain at all. He used grout for all of the inside wall corners and shower floor instead of silicone and a sloppy job on caulking outter shower edge against sheet rock and the shower head pipe is so loose I'm afraid it's going to break off. I has him do an entry way for a drive way pad, that's another thing don't have room to type it, and within hours the whole cement cracked. He redid that and a corner is broken and it should not be. He did my work March 2022. I was like a Guinea pig for his learning how to do construction. I will rate a 1 star, he did take out the tub ok. Also he never knocked when he came over to work he just opened the door and walked in and there was occupants in the house that lived here.

The way they send you the bid if you do not downloaded or print it when they updated the bids the previous bid disappears and this is when Logan started to lie. He said we always said X when we never said it. Logan was so bad the owner Victor became our primary contact because we could not trust Logan. Upfront: They ask whats your budget then give you a spineless amount around your budgeted amount and raise it with each conversation even though you gave them all of this information up front. We asked them to order everything and have it in stock before beginning the job. They said they had everything but lied. We had to wait because the flooring people were out of the tile because they didn't order it as they said. The same thing happened with the shower walls they were out of the color we wanted. Do not trust them. They said 2 weeks from start to finish it was 90+ days. I knew 2 weeks was wrong but thought it would be quicker then over 90 days. So many issues I can't even list them all. Best thing about them was the man that did all the work Blake was good however his hands were tied due to Logan and he needed to keep his job.
