Staff are super friendly and kind. Just an update for those who like gifts that matter They are selling the cutest wooden houses in support of mental health . All the proceeds go the maker which is really amazing. They have a map of Manitoba and come with a little star so you can place your town on the map. For 15-20 dollars they are a steal and will look super cute in my kitchen. The staff said you can email the maker for custom provinces. I think they would make a great gift for a great cause.

I like that this chain has graphic t-shirts and larger shoe sizes. Torrid accommodates curvy women, which I appreciate. I don't exactly fit the demographic perfectly, but I can manage to wear clothing on the smaller side of the sizing scale. It's cool. I do like options. This store was clean and bright. There were deals everywhere. The best deals were in the back left of the store. I managed to find a pair of cargo pants that were regularly $109, but were reduced to $30. They looked like they would fit me. I wasn't sure because I had never bought pants here. I needed to find a fitting room. I headed to the checkout area and asked a female staffer if I could try them on. She was friendly, said yes, and led me to a fitting room by unlocking the door. These pants fit perfectly. The length and inseam were great. I could breathe in them. Yay! I looked around and liked a cardigan. It was lightweight, but Winnipeg was going through a heatwave outside that I couldn't look at any clothing for Fall. I found the graphic t-shirts. I liked the Care Bears one. Nothing truly screamed at me. It probably means that I'm content with my wardrobe. I found my sneakers that I had bought almost a year ago. They are so comfortable. It was one of my favourite purchases from this chain. I headed to the checkout area. It took a while for the nice woman to return. She was helping another person unlock a fitting room. I wasn't in a rush. It allowed me to look at the earring sets. I love them. They are comfortable and the designs are cute. I recommend signing up for Torrid rewards. I got an additional $10 off my purchase when I was here. My pair of cargo pants were $20 after all the discounts. Yay! The best way for the staffer to find your rewards account is to provide your phone number. Easy peasy! I paid with a credit card. I tapped and I was done. She put my item in a paper bag with handles. I thanked her and happily left with my purchase. I'm pleased with my new cargo pants and the price that I paid for them. I loved shopping here. I hope to return the next time I'm at the outlet. The very best interaction came when she acknowledged my low funds and asked me if I had a similar dress at home. I told her I did but I didn't know how to make it look 'sharp and with it.' She brought out earrings and a scarf and suggested they would work. I asked her if I could bring in the dress the next day and we could put them all together. She agreed!!! I brought them in. We met the gorgeous couple who hand-make the gorgeous jewelry sold under the Dconstruct name at the Winnipeg Folk Fest, and then got to visit their shop and atelier in town. They've got their whole families involved making modern lovely pieces, and everything feels made with care and packed with love. My favourites are the pendants made of cement with rose gold, super stunning and like nothing else I've really seen. They also stock a small but beautifully curated collection of independent designer fashion for women, including Eve Gravel from Montreal whose dresses just keep getting better and better, and some stylish t-shirts and tops. They have some art and cards for sale and a number of other treasures in the tiny space. Definitely go say hi if you are in the area. This little designer shop perfect for gift giving and for buying that one piece that everyone will ask you about and then you can say casually "Oh this, i got it in Winnipeg!" And it will sound terribly exotic.

Great Product, Great Customer Service…read more A few months ago I had purchased a pair of beautiful and unique looking concrete cufflinks for my boyfriend from a boutique distributor in NYC. After attending an event he was devastated to find that one cufflinks had been lost and the boutique no longer sold them. While researching concrete cufflinks online I found Dconstruct and called and spoke to Trish who was able to verify that the cuffs were originally from Dconstruct. Even though Dconstruct does not still currently offer the exact combination of color concrete and gold of the original pair, Trish was able to get an identical replacement pair and send them to us, completely as a curtesy. This level of kindness and commitment to ones customers really stands out. I am so deeply appreciative to Trish and the team at Dconstruct. I am also very excited to have found them because they have great products and I'm definitely looking as I shop for unique gifts my loved ones (and myself).
