This is such a cute, unique and fun hotel!…read more I'm not sure exactly what I expected when visiting Cebu for the first time, but I was so pleasantly surprised that this quirky, modern hotel existed. I stayed here two nights, one night each bookending a trip to Bohol. Since we flew into Cebu and preferred to take the ferry to Bohol in daylight, we opted to stay here to start and finish our trip to the Philippines. First, the rooms are incredibly spacious and reasonably priced, but be aware that taxes are pretty hefty. When booking, just double check what the final cost will be, with taxes. (Our room for 3 adults ran us around $170 per night.) Our first night we booked the extra large room and it was massive. After around 24 hours of traveling, it was nice for my friend traveling with us to have her own sub-room and private bathroom in addition to our room with shared common space and a bomb digging, massive bathroom with shower and tub. Breakfast buffet is also included and is not bad at all, offering more than just the traditional continental breakfast. There is also a lovely pool in the back, but got those of you looking to get a good sweat in you should be aware that there is no gym onsite. (And since you're in a congested downtown area, it's not an ideal place to run outside.) If there is one suggestion I would make, it would be forego having the hotel book your transportation on your behalf more often than not. We learned that they charge close to 400 pesos more that the typical white taxi fare from the airport. Out of convenience, I requested they arrange a pick up to the airport on our way back out of town, and the receptionist forgot. In the morning when I went to check on the status, the morning desk staff realized it had not been booked the night before and went ahead and called someone for us. What we didn't realize was that this would take an additional half and hour and charge us a substantial amount more, when we could have just hailed a cab at that time of day and been on our way with a little more money in our pockets. It would be nice if they at least made the suggestion or made you more aware of your options. The one time I do think it would have been worthwhile to arrange transportation would have been a pick up from the ferry building. On the way back from Bohol we arrived after sunset, and the area just felt more sketch and unregulated than during the day time. We had some semi aggressive fellows trying to convince us they were cab drivers and kept motioning for us to come around the corner with them to get in the cab. Our spidey senses told us something was off and we made sure to stay close to the well lit front of the building and flex our patience waiting for a cab at that time. (We thought there would have been tons, but they were far and few between.) Otherwise, our stay was nearly perfect and I would strongly recommend!

I found it awkward if you are sharing a room with friends. But the worst part was the curtain rod falling on me and bruising my hand. It wasn't terribly far from everything. The view isn't great but I wasn't expecting anything anyway. There's a cafe by the lobby, and the front desk can help you with airport transfer, plus print your itinerary for you. I would probably stay again, even if just for the funky and fun decor. I did enjoy how spacious the rooms were. Oh yeah - the air conditioning works REALLY well. A little TOO well, actually. I was freezing my butt off, even after raising the temperature! Reservations, Check In & Lobby: I booked online directly via their website. No issues at all and my reservation was good to go as soon as i go to the front desk. The staff was efficient and very friendly. Every time I walked in I was greeted by the staff. The hotel lobby is very spacious with 2+ story high vaulted ceilings. There's a lobby bar in the corner if you're feeling a cocktail or even a refreshment. They also have a dedicated coffee/tea shop in the lobby by the entrance. good stuff. Breakfast buffet: The staff is always very friendly and accommodating. The selection is fantastic. You have all the local Filipino breakfast dishes along with the regular global staples. There juices are fresh and the self serve coffee machine offers great options: Cappucino, esperesso, drip, etc. Location: It's centrally located in Cebu City and it's easy for Grab drivers to pick you up via the drive up driveway to the entrance. Ayala Mall is a quick walk covered walk, to the mall parking garage and then you're at the outside entrance of Ayala Mall. Fantastic. Anything you need as a visitor is here: Shopping, restaurants, cafes, ATMs, foreign exchange, etc. Suite Rooms: We had a two bed suite and it was fine. This is an older hotel so the rooms are on the smaller side. The air conditioning was on point, bathrooms were clean with great water pressure and hot water. Everything was clean and the housekeeping staff were great. Gym: Some of the weight training equipment is a little outdated but the cardio machines were on point. There's a big selection of machines and free weights to get good workouts in during your visit. Executive Lounge Access: Located on the12th floor, this was my favorite part of the Seda. There are great food hot food options, appetizers, teas and coffees at scheduled time throughout the day. There's a separate conference room which i used to get some work done. There's flat screen TVs with news playing. This was my 3rd place hangout whenever I wasn't in my room or out and about. This is an older property for sure and you'll notice it. However, the staff, location and the renovation and the maintenance of the property is great. This will be my safe space hotel to book whenever I visit Cebu. Enjoy!

Booking I had difficulty booking my reservation…read more Particularly, submitting payment for a package rate. The third-party payment site used by the hotel's reservation system would not accept several of my credit cards. These have successfully been used overseas in the past. Also, while the hotel accepts American Express, the payment site does not. Transfer For 1050PHP, I opted for the hotel transfer. Although my flight was delayed an hour, the pickup occurred without a hitch. Due to issues with Grab during my stay, I also booked the airport transfer for the same fee. Check In Check in occurred without issues. There was a wait as there were only two check in desks. Most importantly, I got my room key around 2pm, an hour before the posted check in time. Housekeeping During my stay, housekeeping was exceptional. Several times, I needed an item from the vanity kit. The following morning, housekeeping left an unopened vanity kit while leaving the opened kit in the bathroom. The room was pre-stocked with a bottle of filtered water. As I had opened but not emptied the bottle, another full bottle was left in the room. Club Room Unfortunately, the club room was not properly stocked with soda. Often, either soda water or regular coke was not stocked in the cooler. I would need to ask staff if there were any left. The soda was in the supply room. Misto Restaurant Breakfast at the restaurant was the biggest disappointment. Many times, I would be seated at a table not properly setup. When I looked around, none of the tables were. When I notified the hostess, the situation was not resolved the following day and was never. The staff lacked training. On the occasions I would submit an egg order, I had to flag an employee to accept it. On my last day, I did not bother. Ayala Center The hotel shares a parking garage with the mall. On rainy days, you can get wet walking through the garage. The covered walkway between the hotel and garage prevented getting wet. Security Metal detectors were situated at both the front and parking garage entrances. My suitcases were scanned, as well as, shopping bags and backpacks whenever I entered the hotel.

ROOM: We stayed in a room with a king-sized bed. There was a table with two chairs, but no sofa like some other hotels. It was just fine for us since we were hardly there at all. Bottles of water were complimentary, along with coffee. The bed was firm yet comfortable. They have a TV in the room, which offers a limited selection of channels. The bedroom and bathroom (as people have noted on Trip Advisor) are somewhat outdated, but it did the job. AMENITIES: We did not use the hotel amenities, but the hotel has a swimming pool, spa, gym, and breakfast buffet. The elevators are small and move slowly. SERVICE: Our only interaction with the hotel staff was during check in. Our bags were brought up to our room shortly after we arrived. Everyone was polite. TIPS: - You will need to put a 1,000 peso deposit (held) down for incidentals. The deposit is refunded after checkout. We were able to put it on a credit card. (Check your card for foreign transaction fees.) - They will inspect your room before you are allowed to officially check out. It was a quick process but expect an additional 5 minutes to check out. - No airport shuttle, but they offered to fetch us a cab.

We were a last minute- late check in and were pleased that they were able accommodate us. Receptionist was friendly and warm, answered any questions we had. They ask for prepayment for the accommodation. Once payment was made, she quickly gave us our keycard and wifi info, and we were on the way to our room. Room: We were given a room on the second floor overlooking the street up front. Room was simple, it had a window type ac unit, hot and cold rainfall shower in the bathroom, a foldable table, and 2 beds (one was a full size the other single). The ac ran medium cold but was very loud while in operation. Room was directly across from the elevator but noises did not come from there, it came from outside and in the hallway. I'm not sure it was just our luck or what, but the night over was full of noises. Slamming doors in the hallway to arguments outside. I tossed and turned all night, and woke up super early without getting a full nights rest. However, the room provided the neccessary amenities such as the super hot shower and ac, for what I paid for it was still a value compared to other places in the area. Overall: They were running a promo and a room started at 880 pesos and up. We opted for the 1,000 pesos room, described above. I say, request a room away from the street, it may help with the noise. Just a heads up they do provide free parking, but the parking area is tiny. Free wifi in room and lobby. I'd stay here again just for the pricing alone.

I walked in a little past midnight to inquire about prices and since it was low season they gave us a ridiculously low deal of $28 a night. The lobby is pretty hip and I even saw that a private party had rented it out for a Halloween party. Besides that, this hotel has little more to offer than a bed to sleep in. The website shows photos of trendy light filled rooms but based on my experience -- it's all Photoshop. The bed is a bit hard, the sheets and towels are scratchy. But there was WiFi, air conditioning, and best of all privacy from my family that I had just spent two weeks vacationing with so I really can't complain. For quick stays this place is tops, just don't expect a relaxing getaway.

They had lovely and unique toiletries. The hotel restaurant was fantastic. The menu is worldly and ingredients were all fresh. Breakfast comes with your stay. The English breakfast was amazing and extremely filling. On my last day, they asked me how I liked the food and they offered any special requests. The lunch menu has more options than the dinner menu. They let you order off the lunch menu for dinner. Greatly accommodating and well worth every penny.

We said no and he went about asking the other guard if they had available seating. Waited about 10 minutes for them to get feedback that they can accommodate us. To my surprise when walking down to the restaurant (@100 feet) the place was just 1/3 occupied. They sat us towards the furthest seat from the beach view and when asked if we can get a closer seat the reception informed us that it's for in-house guest. Given that this place only has very few rooms I found it weird they would not accommodate given the number of empty seats. Anyways we were here to try to food so view not as important. We ordered the Ceaser salad and baked prawns for starters. The baked prawns was decent . For mains we had the prawn spaghetti and flat bread mushroom pizza. Photos uploaded. The portions were quite small and taste very bland. I think the pizza was ok as it's hard to screw up when it's only topped with cheese, mushroom and arugula. Over priced food with very bland taste. Total bill was over 4K. Highly NOT recommended as there are so many better places to eat with staff that actually want you to go there. This place made us feel unwelcome as we were not in house guest.

And where there is one roach, there's usually a family. I would expect at Radisson hotel to be cleaner and roach-free. Their king sized bed is actually two double beds pushed together. Sleeping near the middle of the bed meant back pain since it is not one big mattress and we were essentially sleeping on the edge of a double mattress. Another downside is that they would not allow for strong smelling fruits and foods to be brought into the room. I wanted to purchase a small handful of dried fish and local delicacies as souvenirs, but I didn't want to be fined by the hotel. Our flight left early in the morning so we couldn't find time to go before the airport. We didn't have a chance to visit any of the amenities. The pool looked nice from afar, and we wanted to visit the spa but we could never make it before 10 PM. The location is generally good as it's close to the mall where you can dine, shop, and exchange currency. Overall, this stay was incredibly disappointing.
