Look Elsewhere. The Manager plays favorites, does not fix or repair things, and is a real jerk.

The Good: -The price: I think mine was $525/month which was a bit lower than other places. Great deal if you consider the washer and dryer is included and so are utilities (although there is a cap to this that, if you cross it, you are charged more). -Location: Walking distance to the mall and Walmart as well as the Lowe's shopping center. -The square footage is fairly large. I have a lot of stuff and was able to get it all in here. -You get vaulted ceilings and a deck if you're upstairs and a patio if you're downstairs. -Security deposit is only $300. The Bad: -Construction: I actually thought these were older apartments, like from the 80's, but it turns out they are from the 90's. I thought that due to the deterioration of the building. The most obvious example of this is the stairs and patios. They used untreated lumber which has become brittle. Watch out for boards sticking up, nails, splinters, etc. The banisters will snap if you even touch them. Turns out it's from cheap construction materials. You will hear everything your neighbor (downstairs or beside you) says and does. Also, my bathtub was designed so that if the shower head sprays straight ahead, it hits the outside edge of the tub, flooding the floor. The floors sloped so sharply that it would all pool in one corner. -Finishings: All the apartments have dark brown shag carpeting. It's ugly, outdated, and who knows if they clean it. You can't tell if it's dirty. I found an earring in mine when I moved in. -Appliances: The stove is tiny. So small that I could not get a baking sheet to fit into it. Also, the washer and dry only have like two settings. -Neighbors: Some of these people are really weird. I assume they just let anyone move in here because I didn't have a background check, rental history or employment verification. -When you leave, they don't do a walk-through. You just set your keys on the stove and lock the door behind you (It says this in the lease.)Weird. The Ugly: -Deposit: Don't expect to get yours back. WV state law says that they have to send you a check or an itemized list of deductions within 45 days. I received nothing. Also, it's in the lease that if you're late even once, you forfeit the entire deposit. -Lease: Speaking of the lease, it looks like it was written by a kindergartener. It's in multiple fonts, not spaced properly, has many grammatical errors, and all of the areas in which your information is input is written by hand. Not to mention that the writing is so convoluted that several sections of it make no sense. Don't expect to use this to prove residency. No agency is going to accept it. -Trash: The dumpster is rarely emptied. It's hard to find a place to put your trash. -Snow Removal: This pretty much doesn't exist. We had a big winter storm and maybe 4 days into it, they came to scrape off the top layer of ice. Once. The plow driver got into a verbal altercation with my neighbor. If you live upstairs, there's really no hope of not falling on the ice covered wooden stairs. They won't salt them. -Crime: The cops were here frequently. Per the lease there is a no party rule but when my new neighbor moved in she had at least 30 people over. There was a fight in the parking lot. The noise went on til the very early hours of the morning. I email OB about it and got no response. But here is the most important thing about this place: THEY DIDN"T CLEAN MY APARTMENT BEFORE I MOVED IN!!! I moved in on the 2nd of the month, which in retrospect, is not enough time to turn an apartment. I found that earring in the carpet. There was a package of food on top of one of the kitchen cabinets. The stove was DISGUSTING inside and out, especially under the burners. There were still clothes behind the dryer.
