had these guys tow my boat trailer that the wheel bearings had went out in and when I called I received a text message 30 minutes later which was 3:30 PM telling me their arrival time would be 4:30 PM. My driver sit with the trailer and waited until 7 PM and they still have not showed up so he left. When he left the trailer, tires were in perfectly good shape. I get a call from the repair center where the trailer was delivered and they said it was dropped off with the sidewall cut out of the tire. So when I called the tow company to ask about my tire being cut, they said they didn't do it and I said well was it cut when you got there? They put me on a two minute hold and then said yes it was cut when we got there which I know is 100% false. No one is gonna come along the side of the interstate get out and slash a tire within 30 minutes of their arrival time, but had they been there 4 1/2 hours like they said they would be they couldn't lie like they are now! And that's the worst not only was the service 4 hours late,, tire cut during tow but the biggest issue is that they lied about doing it! I got no use for dishonest business and these guys TOW PRO CEDAR BLUFF TOWING ARE NOT HONEST! AND THEY CHARGED ME $600 to tow 5 miles! read more

Told me to expect truck in 30 minutes. In 30 mins, Jeff arrives with his tow truck. He was very professional and courteous. I called about a person parking in a handicapped landing zone for a safe exit from their vehicle. We had 2 vans that had to unload in the street with passing cars. We just used their service, they were prompt, courteous, very professional. Not sure who the others were referring to but like anywhere, sometimes you get a bad Apple that tarnishes a businesses reputation. If the complainer regarding speeding etc bothered to report it I'd like to think that they'd address the person driving recklessly. Regarding the other complaint, file a report with them, if they don't get satisfaction call one of the local TV stations & let them put a spotlight on the incidence. At 11.30 pm on a Friday night we broke down on I40 near downtown Knoxville. AAA called Cedar Bluff to provide service to us. We were advised of 1 hour waiting time. After 1 1/2 hour of waiting, as they didn't show up, we called AAA to find out the status. AAA mentioned to us that Cedar Bluff didn't come to us because they didn't have all the details of our location. However, nobody, Cedar Bluff nor AAA, called us to tell us this. Instead, they made us wait for 1 1/2 hour, and we were the ones that had to call. Nevertheless, after our phone call, AAA gave them all the details Cedar Bluff needed to provide service. However, Cedar Bluff said they were not coming this late. AAA was not able to find any other provider to give us service. So we had to leave our car on the side of the road. The next day, at 8am we called AAA to get our car towed, and AAA again called Cedar Bluff, and they again said that they were not coming, without giving AAA a reason of their denial. read more

Biggest bunch of thieves and scam artists I have ever seen. My kids were in a car accident and called aaa, who dispatched cedar bluff towing. When they took the car to the repair shop, the driver claimed aaa would not cover the tow, and we had to pay $1129 dollars for a tow across town. Refused to release the car until they were paid. Luckily the body shop was able to cut them a check, and add it to the cost of the repair. I immediately called aaa, and found out cedar bluff towing had ALREADY BEEN PAID! Yes, they were already reimbursed for the tow, and charged us a second time. They even had the nerve to lie to our faces about it! As of today, aaa is investigating them for committing fraud on customers, and forced them to return the check. Apparently ripping off a customer for a felony dollar amount isn't good for their relationship with aaa. read more

Unfortunately, this place is pretty much a rip off. They prey on people who have had wrecks, and college students. For example, if you are in an accident and have your car towed by them, they take it to their lot, and charge $35 a day for parking--a ridiculous amount considering parking downtown on game day is around $20. They will not ask you if you want it towed to your home. You have to remember, immediately after you have been in accident, to tell them where you want it towed. They often do not answer the phone, have limited hours, and in my multiple and unfortunate encounters with them over the past two decades, have been rude and inconsiderate. I was very pleased with the work that this company did for me. My truck broke down in the middle of the night and they came out quickly to help me. They got my truck and trailer off the road in a quick and efficient manner. I was able to get home to get another truck in order to haul my truck back to Ohio and they did an excellent job loading it on the trailer. Friendly, fast, and knew their job well. Takes advantage of teenagers! If you want someone to take advantage of your teenager, Cedar Bluff towing will do it for you! My teenager had a wreck. Police called Cedar Bluff towing. I spoke to them at the scene as they were hooking up and told them that we had AAA and my husband was on the way (to avoid towing charges). My son told them not to tow and showed them the AAA card. They towed it to our house and then refused to leave the car unless we paid $175! We shouldn't have had to pay anything and they could have been paid by AAA instead. But they didn't want to take the time to call it in or allow us to call it in. I will never ever use this company. read more

I was involved in an auto accident and they through all of the glass inside of my car when none of the windows were broken out. I called them to try and resolve the situation with the glass and trash Allen the owner was so post to call me back. He did not. I had to call back and ask for him. I said something to the avail of I don't appreciate the glass and trash being through in my car. Allen responds with "I don't appreciate your review." He then proceeded to say something to the avail of well your review is a misrepresentation due to the fact it isn't my car because it was in someone else's name. I was in the wreck and I paid the bill. What a joke of a business man or should I say child. They charge you by the calendar day. So if it gets to there yard you have to pay for the tow plus one day. That is a rip off. They lost there city contract due to bad business practices as well. Google it and all of that will show up. They are rude on the phone as well. If you are getting your car towed for any reason its not been a good day but when someone is rude it is insult to injury. If you have AAA you can request not to use then as I have now. With what is going on in the world as of this review they are not wearing there masks when you deal with them. Get with the times. I strongly suggest do not use this company. We were hauling 3 horses home when our truck broke down on the highway. No repair shops were open on the weekend. They responded quickly knowing that the horses needed to be moved due to the heat. Our truck was towed to their business and they found a place that could keep our horses for the night. I cannot say enough about their courteous, caring service. read more

I had a close encounter yesterday with an unloaded Cedar Bluff tow truck. It was traveling down Concord RD then west on Northshore. Whoever was driving was extremely aggressive (shocked how fast this thing was....impressive really), braking incredibly hard, and crossing the center line by 2-3 ft multiple times on Northshore where there is zero room for error. Not sure what the deal was but it was clearly not the owner of this expensive rig. Thought you would like to know. Your company has served this area well for many years. Don't let one irresponsible driver put you at risk. No tag or ID number was visible and the windows were limo tinted. read more

My car stopped only 2.8 miles away from Cedar Bluff Towing. When I called their front desk, I asked the gentleman if they had any trucks available to help me out at the moment and he replied "Yes, of course. Just let me know where you are and we're on our way." I waited in the middle of the road from for an hour before I called them back because I found it strange for them to have an available truck and still not hgot to me even though they were only 8 minutes down the road. The same gentleman once again told me that they were on their way. I had help pushing my car to the side of the road where I sat from 7:32pm-10:00pm. When they finally arrived I asked about a discounted price, but apparently I was asking way too much. I'm highly annoyed and disappointed. read more

Do NOT use this service. They are crooks and liars. My husband had a wreck and they were called to tow the car to our house. We belong to AAA but my husband had the expired card with him. When they reached the house, he told the driver he was going to look for the card. After a few, the man came to the door and told my husband that he had to pay him then or he was going to take the car. My husband went outside and said he was going to call AAA got into his car to do it. While this was going on, I also called AAA and explained what the situation was. AAA emailed me copies of our cards to show the driver. While on the phone, I asked my daughter to go tell my husband I was talking to AAA but she said she didn't want to go outside because she was scared. When I went out to give the driver the information, he told me he had called the cops because my husband had locked himself in the car. I explained that I had the information for him and he refused to even look at it saying that he needed the card. During this exchange, he was aggressive, condescending, and basically pushing my buttons. I told him I had been inside calling AAA. His response was that he did not know that. My husband has already stated he was calling AAA so he knew we were contacting them. He then called my daughter a liar when I told him she was scared to come tell them I was calling AAA. We caught him in 4 different lies. He told me my husband locked himself in his car. Not true. He told me that he didn't know we were contacting AAA. Not true. My husband had told him we were. He told the police the wreck happened at a different location than it did. He told my mom he would take her AAA card and leave the car. He took the car. After he left with our car, we called AAA and explained the situation. They got in contact with Cedar Bluff Towing to see if they would tow the car back to the house under our AAA. They refused stating that because my husband did not have a card handy at the scene, the altercation that followed, and the fact that the police were called, they can't take our AAA. Meaning....we have to pay out of pocket to get our car towed back to the house as well as any lot fees they sit fit to charge. SCAM. The driver lied 4 times to us and probably more to the cops (I couldn't hear what he told them). Crooks! We are going to be out money we shouldn't be due to this company and their lying and cheating. I would like to warn everyone of unethical business practice and taking advantage of the innocent by extreme overcharging towing fees of cedar bluff towing in Knoxville,Tn.My son had a fender bender that resulted in his radiator leaking and had to be towed.He was in a parking lot easy to get to and not on the road .The officer was kind enough to help him (being a teenager and very afraid and upset of an accident) called in for a wrecker for him.This was at 9:00am in the morning,the car was towed 6 miles,11 min drive and dropped off at a dealer within 45 minutes.When we realized the repair would be about the worth of the car (2002 passport),we decided not to fix it so they said no problem but we have to pay the tow bill.What do you think,$70,$90,$100? No try $375.They would not tell him a price while hooking up and I was driving on the way to him,he was already gone with the car.I questioned it at cedar bluff towing and they said yep,takes a lot to run a wrecker.He said we have a contract with the police for the money with the city and nothing he could do or the police either.I explained that it was not a city job,that the officer was helping my son,not on official business and that you own the wrecker service and can control the cost.They said too bad.I also told him of the city of knoxville wrecker ordinance that the maximum they could charge is $150 for a tow and he laughed and said that's in the city,you were in the county.I paid the bill and not even a thank you.While telling this story to several other people including police officers and other professionals,they all said "you didn't know,never use them",then they all told me their own horror story dealing with them,including them taking it to their lot for a few hours unnecessarily and charging an additional storage fee besides the tow.I am not the type to complain and try to see the best in people.This time there is no best anywhere to be seen.( I am the person who actually takes the time to praise a server or worker for doing a good job by tipping well and calling their management to let them know they are an asset to the company because most people do not take the time, so this is not ordinary for me to write something like this).I would strongly avoid cedar bluff towing at all costs as they have no morals or work ethics and are not ashamed by it or just don't care.Thanks B.T. read more
