Dr. Holmes came highly recommended by Kristie W. at AAOBGYN and the pediatrician at St. David's North Austin Hospital. Their front desk, Dahlia, was very helpful in answering my questions, and flexible while I was in the hospital. We weren't sure if we were getting discharged after five or six nights, and Dahlia said it would be alright for me to call her at 8 am if we hadn't been discharged yet to reschedule the appointment for the next day. All of their pediatricians are open to delaying vaccines. I delayed the hepatitis B vaccine at the hospital as my baby was battling jaundice as a preemie. I trust Raquel, the nurse practioner who hails from Southside Chicago. She is very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my questions on vaccines. She explained that the Pediatric RSV antibodies shot is not technically a vaccine per se, even though it's called a vaccine. She showed me the list of ingredients for the RSV antibodies shot which does not contain any preservatives or aluminum so that I felt comfortable giving him the shot one day after discharge. So far we really like Dr. Holmes. He's knowledgeable, kind, and gentle with our baby. He gives great advice to first time parents and isn't rigid on rules and feeding times as long as our baby is gaining weight. Our lactation consultant was giving us rigid rules and stressing us out, where as Raquel and Dr. Holmes put our minds at ease and said to keep doing what we're doing since our baby is gaining weight.

However, I scheduled another after hours appointment for the same illness that keeps coming back and 10 minutes before my appointment starts they call to cancel my appointment saying I cannot be seen and will need to reschedule for an in hours appointment. They were unable to accommodate me even though I was feeling awful. I had even paid the $55 after hour fee already, which was a hassle to get a refund for. I think it's unacceptable to be treating patients this way who have been seen by the same office for years. This was also after many hours of back and forth conversation on the portal app, which got me no sense of help/relief.

The medical staff has consistently been excellent, and I would confidently recommend Dr. Gonzalez and her team for their quality of care and professionalism. I am writing to share a recent experience that I believe warrants attention. Front desk staff are often the first point of contact for families, and that interaction sets the tone for care. I called Treehouse Pediatrics to schedule an appointment, initially under the impression that they also functioned as an ER. I quickly realized they provide after-hours care only, which I understand was my mistake. However, during the call, I explained that my daughter had been completely fine in the morning and suddenly could not walk, her legs were shaking, she was unable to move, and she was crying. Naturally, this was very concerning. While the staff member initially seemed attentive, her demeanor shifted as I continued providing context. When I mentioned my daughter had ant bites, simply to give as much information as possible, she responded by laughing and repeating "ant bites?" in a dismissive tone. No one expects to be laughed at during a high-stress situation, especially when seeking care for their child. That response felt unprofessional and lacked the empathy expected in a pediatric setting. As a parent of two, I do not seek care lightly, especially in moments of distress. No parent should feel dismissed when advocating for their child's health. Ultimately, we chose to go to the ER and canceled the appointment. I have requested a call back from management and would appreciate the opportunity to discuss this further, including providing a timestamp if the call was recorded. I share this feedback with the hope that additional training and guidance can be provided to ensure all families are met with the compassion and professionalism they deserve.

This location is actually closer to home, the staff is so friendly and helpful. Our Pediatrician Dr Patterson is kind and very informative. We really appreciate the kindness and exceptional care that we have received from the front desk, to the medical assistants and the doctors.

Medical guidelines exist as a framework, not a one-size-fits-all mandate, and parents should be able to make informed decisions about their own children's care--especially regarding something as personal as vaccination timing and choice. The abruptness of this policy, combined with the threat of dismissal, made it clear that protecting the practice from liability (and possibly maximizing visit-based revenue) was prioritized over maintaining trust with established patients. If a clinic isn't willing to work with families who've been loyal for years, it says a lot about where their real priorities lie. We've moved on to a provider that treats parents as partners, not as compliance problems.

She never makes us feel rushed, and addresses our concerns with patience and understanding. I've recommended her to anyone who asks for a pediatrician with the same sentiments being echoed by friends. The office staff is also super friendly and helpful. The office itself is very clean and well cared for too. Environment is important especially when visiting the doctor may not be the highlight of your day because you're already not feeling your best, so a calm and clean environment makes a big difference. I see NP Baeza for my own care, and have been very pleased with her assuring bedside manner, and appreciative of her straight forward approach to my health. She is easy to talk to, and a wealth of knowledge. Thank you for caring for your patients so well!! We have also seen other providers when our primaries are unavailable, and I have received nothing but exceptional service. Our baby was in distress, crying uncontrollably, running a fever, with goopy eyes and a very runny nose. We immediately took her to the hospital, where she was diagnosed with two ear infections. While we respect the need for policies, turning away an infant in such condition over a one-minute delay feels unreasonable. We have always appreciated Dr. Moore's care, but our interactions with the office staff have been consistently unpleasant. As a result, I canceled my child's scheduled check-up and will be seeking alternative care for her moving forward.
