I will start with the positive. Melissa is a very nice person. She is very sweet and does get to…read moreknow you and she has great rates. But that alone doesn't clean a house and she is in the cleaning business. I hired her to clean my bathrooms because I am selling my house and those needed some deep cleaning and I told her that over the phone. Since her rates were great, I looked her up on BBB and her website was awesome. Anyone would hire her. We agreed on a day, and price for a team of two, although the time was left flexible as she said she had a job out of town and wasn't sure when she'd be done with it so she'd call me. I was totally fine with that, so we were set. That night, she texted me and told me she forgot to tell me that if I wanted her to use her cleaning products, it would be and extra $5/hr but if I used mine it would be the rate we agreed on. Hmm, I thought that was a little sketchy, but whatever, I told her she could use mine. I thought part of the rate people charged was to include their products, but maybe that was one of the reasons her rates were so low. The afternoon they were to arrive she called and said she was still out of town, so was there any way shethey could come the next day. Ok, fine. I'm super chill, so I agreed. I had some errands to run, but my husband would be here to let them in and I had a Rubbermaid tote full of cleaning supplies ready for them in case I wasn't back. Sure enough, while I was gone, they had showed up. I have a ranch with a basement, so when I walked in, I saw the lights on in both of my main level bathrooms and looked in one and it was still dirty. I checked the other and it was still dirty. I couldn't imagine both people being in my downstairs bathroom but headed that way. Inside was Melssa, alone. I said, "So I see you haven't gotten to the bathrooms upstsirs yet," and she said, "No, I'm already done." I know this is a long story, but it's important. Out of ALL the 15-20 different cleaning products I gave her, Melissa used Lysol wipes to clean my bathrooms, then FLUSHED THEM DOWN MY TOILETS. When I asked her to reclean, she did, but nothing was deep cleaned. I finally paid her just because I was frustrated that it wasn't getting done and that she had flushed the wipes down the toilet. Two days later, my whole plumbing was messed up and I had to call a plumber to come and snake the wipes out. They got about 35 out, but a few days after that, they had to be called back because my house backed up again. I guess the saying is true, if you want a job done right, you have to do it yourself.
