Now, I just want to make note that because of the Senior Pastors at Immanuel's, we were blessed to have a section of their building for our church. Every time I go here and pass by people that are from Immanuel's, they always greet me as if I was their own. Sometimes 1 of their pastors would come and do a sermon for our church, other times they would simply come and greet all of us, pray and converse. Immanuel's is a real church. I don't personally know everything about the pastors there, however, I have heard so many good stories about them and how sincere, modest and just overall great they are. I truly feel blessed to be here.

Also I'm aware that the head Pastor there gave our church (New Beginning Community Church) access to their building every other Friday for events. And it's free. Air conditioning, heater and kitchenware included. Of course, we'd have to clean up after ourselves and turn the A/C and heater off before we leave the premises. A fantastic place to be!

My daughter made plenty of friends and we also made great friends with parents. The teachers and the faculty did a great job welcoming us and providing a great curriculum and festivities outside of the normal school day. I wish they provided full-time care or else we would have never left but our work schedules forced us to. Will be keeping an eye out hoping a fulltime curriculum is established in the near future!

The church built from wood with no nails is impressive in its merit and it had aura of otherworldly as they had Ukrainian vespers playing and copy of the shroud of Turin in the center for the Lent. Vareniki (filled dumplings of Eastern European origin) were solid and not soggy, Sausage with cabbage was tasty and surprisingly sweet (with the pieces of apple in it) while stuffed cabbage rolls with the sauce of the mushroom was the weakest on taste but good never less. Deserts were even better - $3 each on average and packed with much more taste. The biggest hits were Easterly looking cupcakes - better than any cupcake (not filled ones) I have ever had. I was happy to support their church and I would come again in August (Ukrainian Festival tied to Ukraine Independence Day) and December (Christmas Bazaar).

The church itself is a large, beautiful structure and the sanctuary has several different areas where you can sit, including a maternity room and 2 side rooms. Ive been going here most of my life, so this church is in a lot of ways like my second family. You also don't have to be a member to attend here; the doors are open to everybody.
