Gold Ribbon School Great staff…read moretitle 1 achievement school great students AMAZING TEACHERS!! This is such a great school. Everyone works together to help every student succeed. The principal is phenomenal! They really have a great thing going. They have positive behavior implementations. I wouldn't send my kids anywhere else. The p.t.a is incredible, many hours are spent on events for the students.

After a serious situation involving my child, I was disappointed not only by what occurred, but by how it was handled afterward. Instead of feeling supported or taken seriously, we were left feeling dismissed and pushed aside during an already difficult time. There were concerning interactions involving staff that left my child upset and emotionally affected. One of the most upsetting moments was when the principal suggested in front of both parents that our child might be better off switching schools, rather than seeing stronger efforts made to resolve the situation and support the student. We later brought this concern to the superintendent but felt it was not meaningfully addressed or resolved. Overall, communication, accountability, and compassion from both school and district leadership did not meet the expectations we have for a safe and supportive learning environment. I encourage parents to stay involved, ask questions, and advocate strongly for their children if concerns arise.

If you are thinking of putting your child in this school I suggest you to look at better options,…read moremy son has had four different teachers this school year (2024). His grades have dropped noticeably, since my son started going here two years ago, I have had really bad experience with the school and the staff that work there. he is now suffering from major depression and anxiety and it's not a school that cares for your children. In negative learning environments he feels uncomfortable, confused, unsupported and afraid to make mistakes. It has lead to heightened stress levels, decreased self-esteem. So I suggest you look for better alternatives.

I have spoken with much of the staff and the principal herself has done nothing to correct or ensure my child's safety nor emotional safety at all. As a matter of fact my child does not want to attend school in the morning due to the bullying. The front office staff has been made aware on several occasions of the things going on at this school in my daughter's class. Pushing, name calling, physical restraining or detaining. I've talked with the principal on many occasions and all they love to do is shift blame, "oh well you have to talk to her teacher about that since she's with her most of the time" when I talked to the teacher "if she's experienced those things and it's affecting her wanting to come to school then you need to talk to the principal." STOP SHIFTING BLAME and do something. The principal also just word for word told me that the two instances she spoke with my daughter about do not constitute bullying? Really lady? Bullying is bullying and if you're reluctant to investigate that doesn't mean something isn't going on. Get a grip and stop being in denial. I brought up issues with behaviors at this school brought up by others and you should've seen the principals reaction. It's like she has this pristine image she wants to maintain and nothing is going to get in the way of that. So she'd rather look the other way than fix the actual problems.
