I booked an apt, got a confirmation showed up for my apt front desk said there were no appointments, I said I have confirmation and she finally decided to check seen my confirmed date took a second look at me and declined .. said there wasn't any doctors there till Monday. When seeking a location to receive my second covid booster, I found a convenient location on the https://myturn.ca.gov website-- Cedars Tower Medical Group. Although I thought it was affiliated, I now realize that although the name is similar, there is no affiliation with Cedar Sinai. The founder did her clinical training at Cedar Sinai, so is fully aware of the similarity in name. My experience tipped me off that something was not right -- starting with the fact that no one except myself-- including all medical professionals -- were wearing masks. Within the city and county of Los Angeles as well as the state of California, masks are definitely required at medical facilities. During the pandemic, I have gone through cancer treatments and know how carefully controlled facilities must be to keep staff and patients safe-- and I am extremely grateful to all medical professionals for the rough duty they endured! A second floor facility in a strip mall with generic "Medical Clinic" signage is clearly not what I expected. I should have left, but didn't. That is on me. I will add that I made an appointment online. When I got to the door, I kept my distance as there was a couple at the counter with a little dog. (I briefly wondered if this was a veterinary clinic...but put that out of my mind. Besides, I like dogs...) The couple, the dog, and the two front office staff all looked at me... I said my name and that I had an appointment for my booster. The couple walked outside to allow me access to the counter, and I was greeted with "Do you have insurance?" Um, yes... but technically this isn't required for covid-related tests and shots. Ultimately, everyone was nice enough, and the Nurse Practitioner who administered my booster was as well. I never saw the doctor here, but my complaint is that there is a reason medical facilities are expected to keep us safe. And she is the founder and boss. You can see from their "business owner" photos from March and April 2022 that the non-masking is not a new violation. If you take covid spread seriously, you may want to avoid this facility. One other issue... I requested Moderna for my booster. The NP actually showed me the bottle, almost like a bottle of fine wine, and said Moderna. I did not have my reading glasses on so can't say what she showed me, but I nodded in approval. My paper vaccination card from them says Moderna, but my digital record with the state is unfortunately now recorded with Pfizer. I think medical record details are important. So, I'll add if you want medical records that are accurate, you may want to avoid this facility. read more

I have been looking for a reliable and respectable medical office for a while. I lost my health insurance recently and was looking for an affordable office as well. I decided to visit Alina's office because she was highly recommended to me by several people. Unfortunately the reason for my visit was that I thought I was having a heart attack. My blood pressure was through the roof, my pulse was racing and my heart felt like it was going to jump out of my chest. I called and was able to get an appointment right away. After my appointment was over I felt like nothing ever happened. Alina was able to diagnose and explain what was happening to me and was extremely friendly and courteous throughout my entire visit. I've known the brilliant, compassionate Alina Kievsky and Margaret, her office manager, for perhaps 15 + Years. My Rhuematologist and family Internist, Dr Katherine Neumann employeed both of these excellent women. I remember so clearly how excited and dedicated Alina was when she began studying to be a Nurse Practitioner. The Doctors Neumann were incredibly supportive. Dr. Neumann was hands down the best doctor I've ever known. Unfortunately she and her husband, the excellent Cardiologist Dr Michael Neumann were forced into early retirement several years ago due to severe health issues. But the Amazing Alina and Margaret opened her Nurse Practitioner Office in Hollywood. They know me, my husband and understand my decades long autoimmune diseases. I trust her explicitly. I trust her with my life! Alina takes the time to actually listen and man, does she care! Her only concern is to help her patients. Margaret can juggle so many things at once. Her kindness also knows no bounds. This year, after my 58 year old husband's catastrophic stroke, I was desperately in need of some immediate medication. My husband can never drive again and I was too sick to drive, to say nothing of the fact that I could not leave my husband alone.
