Writing this on my back from road test which I passed, thanks to the course from Cedeno Driving School. I'm from Ireland and needed an NY driving license for work. Being here for 9 years, i got too comfortable with the nyc public transport and never bothered getting a license. When it came time to get the license I didn't realize how convoluted the process is. Thankfully Cedeno took care of all that. I got the 250 package which included 3 lessons, car for road tests and 5hr pre certification course. The 5 hr course had a lot of genuinely useful information, especially as it relates to the idiosyncrasies of the road test and the inspectors. I had George for the road lessons. Before the first lesson I had never driven on the left side of the road or an automatic car, these lessons really helped. Having the same car for the road lessons and test was also beneficial. He provided lots of useful little tips as well as correcting my bad habits from previous driving back in Ireland. Having paid attention to all that he said, I managed to pass the test with zero points. Last thing to note is that they have access to cancellations, this greatly helped with expediting the process, especially if you already have been driving elsewhere for a while. I did my first road lesson 10 days ago and passed the road test today. If I were to book myself I was looking at 6 to 8 weeks (obviously I was looking and there was no guarantee of timeline, but it really helped me). Anyway, I highly recommend Cedeno Driving School especially if you're in the neighborhood, they were very accommodating to my getting this on a short timeframe. read more

Greatest driving school in Brooklyn! Started off with no experience what so ever and by the end of it I gained confidence that I didn't know I had. I had the pleasure of having all 3 Jorge, Luis and Fabian as teachers while I was taking my classes and let me tell you they are all amazing. Luis's classes were very nonchalant and very easy to understand everything he was teaching. Jorge's classes were super hilarious, very informative and straightforward! Which is what you need to help you. Fabian's classes were also great and very informative. Fabian was the teacher who took us to the road test and went over one last time what you need to do step by step to pass the test. I took the 10 class package and I passed the road test in the first try. I just want to thank these guys so much for all their patience and love that they put in teaching the students. You can see the care they put in EVERY class! From the receptionist to the teachers Thank you so much for all your help and helping me gain the confidence I needed to get my drivers license! Fantastic driving school that I recommend without reservations. Cedeno was on point from beginning to end! I passed my first try, with truly zero prior experience driving. 1) The 2 office ladies you coordinate with for buying, scheduling, and rescheduling lessons were polite, patient, and responsive. 2) The 5 hour class was not an outdated video you passively watch. Instead we got a live presentation conducted by Luis who was thoroughly engaging and informative. If that's all you need to do, do it here! 3) The instructor I took most of my classes with was Luis. As many of the reviews here have mentioned, Luis is personable, calm, patient, and most importantly, extremely clear. I cannot tell you how much this helped me since I had never driven before. I needed someone to break it down for me in a step-by-step fashion, assuming nothing, and he did that in a concise and precise manner. He was extremely observant, and was surgical in his feedback. I also appreciated that he conducted a few mock road tests for me the day before the actual test - this helped get out some of the jitters. Good teachers matter! Listen to everything he tells you. I would like stronly to reccomend this driving school! I promise that if you are looking for a place which will respect & appreciate your money.... A place which is very patient and conciderate and will be there for you with any problems you may have such as flexible scheduale, always getting back to you with any question you may have and making sure you understand the answer.... you found the right place! Driving does not come easy to my wife and they took a person that was affraid of getting to a car to a wonderful driver! She has been tought to be conciderate driver, a safe driver and a driver that respects and obeys driving roles! The car ( A new toyota corolla is very safe and comfortable ) is wonerful! I signed up at Cedeño with zero driving experience.. when I say zero I mean ZERO. I had started my first three lessons with Luis then ended up finishing the rest with Jorge. Both instructors were very calm, friendly, and gave clear instructions as to what I was doing wrong and how to improve. I am definitely more confident now in terms of driving, thanks to them. I wasn't exactly the perfect driver but bless their hearts for having the patience to put up with my driving errors. I took fifteen lessons for one month and my road test date was set for the end of it in Middle Village. On my way to the road test Fabian, who is also one of the driving instructors, was giving me tips and advice as we waited for the road test instructor to arrive. The road test was a total of six minutes which I ended up passing. This should speak volumes on what kind of instructors they are and the techniques they use to help students pass their road test. Very happy with the experience and I highly recommend this driving school! PS: I took the five hour class with Luis and it was a breeze. He made it fun and easy to comprehend.. So I moved to NYC in 2017 after living in New Orleans for four years - where the streets are 70% potholes and no one knows what a blinker is - and I essentially have not driven since. I have been going upstate more to see family and realized it would make way more sense to rent a car. I was a little scared to have my first time back on the road be in a 2-3 hour trip on the highway, so I searched and found Cedano, as they do hour long highway lessons. Turns out I was just scared and can 100% still drive totally fine. I really appreciated my lesson with Luis additionally because he broke down all the things people are commonly ticketed for and all the additional rules that exist in NYC (I didn't know there was no right on red!!) Honestly, taking this lesson saved me likely hundreds in tickets from not knowing any better and boosted my confidence to drive in the city. Everyone that works at this family-owned business is so nice. I even didn't have cash at the gas station and my instructor spotted me a dollar to buy a bottle of water. SO SO NICE! cannot recommend enough if you want to reorient yourself to driving in the city. read more

I had this instructor his name is Fabian and he has been extremely patient with me. He is extremely detailed in the way he conducts his driving classes, constantly reminding me what to expect for the road test. He drills on the basics of driving, including making a broken u-turn, parallel parking and pulling over. And at the same time, he builds your confidence for the road test. For $400, you get a five hour class and 10 lessons and a car for the road test and that is all you need to pass the road test. Having had no prior experience with driving, I scheduled weekly (sometimes twice a week) lessons with him so that I can adequately prepare myself with the test. If you are feeling confident enough with driving after a few classes, let the instructor know if they can provide a mock driving practice during the last one or two classes. It will greatly help when they are not teaching you but rather instructing you just like how the road test inspectors conduct their tests. It will be extremely helpful. read more

If you live in Brooklyn near Williamsburg I highly recommend Cedeno Driving school to get your license. They have different packages and different price points but the best package is the full package of ten 45 minute driving lessons, 5 hour course and scheduled road test with the same car that you use for your driving lessons. I also highly recommend Fabien as your instructor. He is very very patient and thorough and extremely nice and considerate. He makes sure you do everything you need to do to pass the test. The office workers are very nice and pleasant to deal with and call you when there is a change in your schedule. I took the full package but added another 5 driving lessons to my package. I passed the test easily. Also Fabien drove me to my road test and back and is super supportive. Three other students of his were with me that day for their road test and they all passed as well. I took the test in Januray and got my license in Feb. Definitely the school to go to for your license. read more

This is THE BEST driving school on the Ave. Great customer service. I can't complain not one bit. I RECOMMEND this place to ANYBODY. The Cedeno will make you feel welcomed and at home. They have great deals on packages, can't go wrong. On that note, my man LUIS. Oh man, I met Luis about 3 weeks ago and right of the start I knew he was a great guy. Luis is a AWESOME instructor. My journey to getting my license took me a few tries but I finally got it! I have to thank the owner and her staff for being so supportive to me and for never giving up on me as well. When I first started taking my driving lessons I took it with George who set the foundation for me and he is an awesome instructor and person. I later took lessons with Luis, who is such a great instructor. He is so patient, knowledgeable and down to earth. Luis instructions and techniques are so clear, precise and easy to understand. I had an absolutely amazing experience coming to Cedeno! From the staff to the instructors, they all genuinely care about your success. The staff are great and always accommodating to your schedule. I had little to no experience behind the wheel and Jorge did an amazing job of not only getting to know me as a person, but instilling confidence in me when it came to driving. Jorge is a great instructor and an even better person. He taught me to parallel park and complete a 3 point turn like a pro! I also had lessons with Luis & Rufino and they did an amazing job of giving me pointers and working on mechanical things that needed improvement. The thing that I like the most about Cedeno Driving School is their honesty. I came in and told them my driving situation and they told me exactly what I needed to do. At first it seemed like 10 lessons was excessive (It's obviously different for everyone but that's what they recommended for me) but I decided to trust them and go with that. I'd rather pay more and pass than pay less and fail, in which you will ultimately have to pay more later anyway. Jorge my instructor was super cool, very honest and open, he told me exactly the things I needed to work on. Sometimes it seems silly but everything he tells you is for a good reason. If you listen to what he says and are calm & relaxed the day of the test you will pass for sure. I passed with almost a perfect score and have never taken the driving test before in my life. Cedeño Driving School is one of those Williamsburg businesses that are hard to come by nowadays. A family business with caring attention to their costumers and true dedication. I had lessons with all of their instructors and they were all good teachers and professionals. They were super helpful when it came to help me book lessons with my hectic work schedule, also when it came to book my 2 tests. They run the business professionally making sure they text you a day in advance of any lesson or test. What I loved more about the school is that they don't run that outdated 5 hour video; instead they give you a VERY HELPFUL 3 hour talk about how to drive properly, make sense of the road, and most importantly, what does the instructor expect from you in your test. I was terrified of cars. Whenever I saw big trucks I would freak out. I never drove a car and I do not come from a family of drivers. I decided to do some research and found Cedeno Driving School. I was amazed by the reviews so I decided to purchase a package of 15 classes. I had Jorge for most of my classes and let me tell you that he was absolutely amazing! He took his time to really teach me and give me his honest reviews on my progress. Jorge is punctual, respectful, well educated in all things about cars! This driving school is amazing. I highly recommend it! Everyone is wonderful and they schedule everything so that it's convenient for you. The 5 hour class was great, it wasn't boring and I learned a few things I didn't know before. I got one of the packages with many lessons, 5 hour class and the car for the test. They also schedule the road test for you. You definitely get what you paid for. My driving instructor was Luis and he's a fantastic teacher. I took all my lessons with him. He was very calm and reassuring. He had little techniques that were easy to remember. I had never driven before my lessons so I was very nervous about driving but he made it so much easier. I got the 5 lesson package which includes the 5 hour class and a car for the road test. I took the 5 hour class with Luis and I have to say he made the class very enjoyable. He constantly told jokes but also told us what we needed to do to pass the road test. I then began to take lessons with George. George was very understanding and helpful giving me useful tips to pass my road test. He's a very down to earth guy and not one of those instructors who yells at you for messing up. He will provide constructive criticism. I took my test 2 days ago at Seaview Brooklyn and passed, all thanks to George and this school.
