They employee one waitress sometimes & a cook, which is part owner , I think. Pleasant fellow, but was waitress & cook last afternoon. "They think they have a generator", but are uncertain if it works. It seems they may be recently in ownership of the business. The restrooms, showers, & restaurant appear clean. The usual convenience store fare. Coffee is a little higher in price, than some of the similar truck stops & all flavored; of the two pots they had. Many casino machines. No smoking in the restaurant, thank goodness. Unfortunately, the hookah, game & shower rooms do have smoking. The space there is large, with a laundry area & many chairs to lounge in. The lighting is poor for reading though. Looks much like a newly renovated old truck stop. They did little to upgrade the parking lot though.

There's a ton of stations to pull into, and they are spaced out a lot which makes it easy to navigate! There wasn't a line for gas either. The facility was clean inside and outside! When returning home from a trip to see family on Sunday 7/19/20 about 9:45am we decided to stop here as we needed to use the restroom and were starving. Although I've never found the restroom particularly clean in the past, it has typically been passable. The cleanliness was a bit more suspect this time and out of the two stalls, one wasn't usable at all- the lock was broken and there wasn't any toilet paper. So that leaves a single handicap stall to be shared. There was soap and paper towels though. When I came out of the restroom my husband told me the chicken restaurant that was inside was supposed to open in 15 minutes. We were debating getting back on the road again with snacks or waiting for it to open. Then he pointed out that none of the customers nor the employee were wearing masks. About this time we heard a crazy hacking cough and decided against eating there, but getting a couple of beverages and getting back on the road. While waiting in line to pay, Ali (who had put on a mask after his coughing fit) told another customer the chicken place didn't open until 10:30am, which is different than the 10am he had previously told my husband- so who knows. I will say that as we were leaving the next 3 people coming in were wearing masks, and it's possible this is an exempt county since there weren't any signs on the doors, but I don't think so. It's a typical gas station with some additional souvenirs, purses, sun dresses, leather products and knives. Between the cleanliness and safety issues, I'm just not inclined to spend more money than necessary (gas and a Gatorade) here.

Lots of chips, cigarettes & candy too. Limited frozen treats. Not so much other stuff tho. A few canned goods. They're good people & love to visit. They even helped me fix a flat once! I love to practice my Spanish here.
