Classic slice next to a kid's slice
    Elaine M.

Coming from NY, the giant slice was probably the size of a regular slice. That being said, I appreciated the presentation on the circular metal tray with the wax paper. Just got a classic slice. The kiddo wanted the Castillo's spaghetti but sadly the pasta machine was not working that day so she settled on the kids meal, which is a classic slice cut smaller. The pizza itself was not bad. Could have been heated hotter and crust was a little tough.

    Pepperoni pizzas. Really good!

Great pizza in a food hall. They make the dough fresh. It's cooked through an impinger oven but it's still a great pie!

Ginormous piece of pizza, salad and a drink- $9.99- can't be true, but it sure it! Go check them out in Waco- close to the Silos. Fun spot- good food. Simple- easy- delightful!

Vanilla Bean & Strawberry Cheesecake Gelato
    Camarra B.

So far I've only stopped by for gelato, but I am eager to try more. I got a scoop of vanilla bean and strawberry cheesecake for only $5.50. I really loved how smooth, creamy and thick the texture of the gelato was. Stopping by and treating myself made my evening greater. I definitely will be back for more!

    White pizza

I ordered a white pizza. It took a long time, I was patient but the pizza that I took home had an exorbitant amount of cheese on it that I couldn't even eat it. The flavor was good. The dough was soft and flavorful. Disappointed.

Pizza by the slice! Located in Union Hall. Walking distance from the Silos and Pirovar Hotel and Restaurant. The BEST crust according to my husband and 10 year old son. My son LOVES pizza so this is a standout comment for me.

Their delicious Supremely Veggie pizza delivered to our home! I requested pepperoni and extra sauce on the side - I'm so glad they did it.

This delicious pizza place is nestled inside Waco's Union Grove, a family dining destination with many food vendors. I've had Village Pizzeria several times in person and via delivery once - not enough! I think of returning VERY often for their Supremely Veggie pizza; this, with pepperoni and extra marinara, is the best pizza I've ever had since moving here. (Veggie pizza person over here!) It's everything I want made the closest to perfection. Their website boasts authentic Italian handmade dough with the freshest ingredients and toppings - I don't deny it! For example, their dough is light, yet crispy and thick... not full of grease or air. I enjoy dipping it into their pizza sauce. The quantity of toppings are also excellent! I enjoy their freshness and flavor. While their pizza is delicious, it is almost perfectly balanced... except for the pizza sauce. There isn't enough sauce in the pizza in my opinion. However, I love that they offer sides of sauce in person and on their online delivery menu for me to get around this! Some pizza places I've tried to order delivery at, don't include the option to order extra sauce on their menu. Some pizza places, when ordered online, may forget sides of things or special requests. This place doesn't forget my pepperoni and extra sauce addition! I'm grateful for that, because we all don't like sitting at home, food finally gets delivered, and we find something is missing. Check out their menu and give them a try. I highly recommend it, whether via delivery or in person at Waco's Union Grove.

Ordered the Flying Pig Slice. Very flavorful and tasty! A great place to stop in Waco.

Receipt clearly shows two different pizzas. Two pepperoni and black olive were delivered.

They tasted just like a tortilla chip though soooo... I think 2$ is more appropriate (menu also had GF at 4$ and then we were charged 5$ at the end in which I thought I'd be getting gluten free bread too but alas, the app was really really good - a friends complaint is that it could use more lemon flavor, I can see that too) I was also charged 4$ for my gluten free pasta, but the dish was so so so good. The creamy sauce was absolutely incredible. I had the shrimp scampi along with a blueberry syrup mocktail and I was completely satisfied. Also had a taste of the blueberry martini which was also very good. My friend had the lasagna which she rated at 3 stars and said it was overcooked but the sauce was good. My sister had the lobster ravioli and it was undercooked, too al dente for her liking and was dissatisfied as it was the most expensive thing on the menu. My sister would go back, my friend would not, and i definitely would. Service was very nice. I just looked at my receipt and there is a charge for "rustic bread" so I'm not sure what that is... did they charge us for both the GF crackers AND the bread that should have been included in the appetizer? That's also not cool.

After reading some mixed reviews, I was a little nervous about trying this place, but since my daughter had been here before, we decided to give it a shot -- and I'm so glad we did. The restaurant was very busy that night, and the staff let us know upfront that our pizza could take up to an hour. To our surprise, it arrived in only about 30 minutes, which we really appreciated. The view of the river was absolutely incredible and made the whole experience amazing during the golden hour. While the pizza wasn't the best I've ever had, it was still good and definitely hit the spot. The atmosphere, scenery, and honest communication from the staff made for a really enjoyable evening.

My first impression wasn't great because the restaurant could use a more thorough cleaning. There were several open tables when we arrived, but all of them were still dirty and hadn't been cleared off yet, so we had to wait before we could sit down. As for the pizza, it's decent, but nothing particularly memorable. One thing they do get right is the ranch dressing, it was actually really good. That said, they bring out so much of it that it almost feels like they're encouraging you to cover up the flavor of the pizza. We also ordered some appetizers. Unfortunately, the fried mac and cheese bites were disappointing. The filling tasted very similar to boxed Kraft mac and cheese that had simply been breaded and deep-fried. I wouldn't order those again. One highlight is the outdoor patio overlooking the river. It's a great place to relax, enjoy the fresh air, and have a few beers with your pizza. Overall, this place has potential. If they focused more on cleanliness and improved the quality of some of the food, it could be a much better experience.

I've had the Chicken Parmesan pasta, the Margherita pizza, and the Pepperoni pizza. Each of them was above average. The Chicken Parmesan came with a nicely breaded and cheese-covered piece of chicken with spaghetti and two pieces of garlic toast. It was good, though it could have used a little more red sauce. Pizzas are available as 20" or 14" pies, and certain ones you can get by the slice. The crust is medium thickness, light, with a soft core and a crispy outside. The Margherita was good but I preferred the Pepperoni. Overall, both pizzas were above average. I especially liked the crispiness of the outside of the crust. They also have salads and wings. Dessert consists of cheesecake or funnel cake fries. I haven't tried any of these yet. There is an inside dining area, a bar area, and an outdoor patio area. I…read morehave already been here for 20 minutes, and honestly it feels like time is moving in slow motion. It's one of those moments where you start off impatient, checking the time every thirty seconds, thinking the line is going to magically start moving faster just because you're watching it. But then you hit this point where you realize you're stuck here no matter what, so you kind of settle into it. It's like accepting defeat, but in a peaceful way. It's funny how waiting in line exposes how restless I can be. I'm so used to jumping from one thing to the next, always thinking ahead, always planning. But right now all I can do is stand here, shuffle forward an inch every couple of minutes, and come up with random thoughts to keep myself entertained. I keep looking around like something interesting might happen, but everyone else looks just as bored and zoned out as I feel. There's this weird shift that happens when you're stuck waiting: your brain starts drifting to stuff you don't normally slow down enough to think about. Like plans you haven't made yet, conversations you need to have, things you've been putting off, or even just how tired you are. My brain is bouncing between "I hope this line goes faster" and "maybe this is good for me." It's almost like being forced into stillness. I can hear the little hum of people talking, the random coughs, the footsteps sliding on the floor, and it all blends together into this background noise that makes the whole moment feel strangely calm. I'm not doing anything productive, but I'm not wasting time either. I'm just... here. Present. Waiting. And sometimes I think moments like this are actually underrated. You get space to breathe, even if it wasn't your choice. And the longer I stand here, the more I realize how often I rush through my days. I always want to get to the "next thing." But right now there is no next thing. There's just this slow-moving line, and me trying to make something out of a situation that would normally annoy me. Honestly, it's almost therapeutic to just let my thoughts spill out without overthinking anything. It's like I'm giving myself permission to just ramble and process whatever pops into my head. If anything, this might be the most productive part of my day, not because I'm accomplishing anything, but because I'm actually slowing down long enough to check in with myself. And the line still hasn't moved much, but I'm starting to care a little less. Maybe I'll be here another 20 minutes. Maybe longer. But at least I'm turning it into something instead of just staring at the back of someone's head and wishing I was somewhere else.
