To start, this facility was closed down for a month earlier this year when a new parent company took over. As a result, nearly all of the staff are new and no one knows exactly what their roles are yet. Some of the staff think this may be back to being a premier facility in 6 months, and perhaps it will, but that doesn't help anyone seeking treatment right now. The website is outdated and for the old facility. They no longer have most of the care options that are listed on the website (that was for the old facility) so there is no art therapy (unless you consider making friendship bracelets therapy), horse therapy, animal therapy or offsite visits. They had vans that would take groups to and from some offsite activities, but they got rid of them and now the entire program is nearly all classroom based. If you have unresolved trauma that you need help finally dealing with, the classroom setting actually may be of value for you. If you are seeking a tranquil setting simply for anxiety where you can reset your mind and body, this is definitely not the place for you. I will say all of the patients seemed extremely open and honest, which makes you feel comfortable speaking about anything so even if you have a severe trauma and haven't dealt with it, the positive is that here you will likely feel safe talking about it. However, it is anything but relaxing. Even the mediation is interrupted by employees going in and out and walking right through activities that are sound-based. Also, if you are thinking of going here, I would make a list of everything on the website that is attracting you to the facility and ask pointedly if they currently have that treatment/activity available. My suggestion would be to do this via email and get the responses in writing. Also ensure that you understand phone and visitation privileges if this is of importance to you. My advice is to get this in specific detail before providing any insurance information. There is also little to do during free times as there is only one TV with Netflix (no cable) and one TV with 4 news stations on it for all patients. If you are an avid reader, you might be fine with this. There is presently only one case worker for all patients so, in her defense, I feel she has far too much on her plate but that doesn't alleviate the issues. Currently they have no chef so if you have dietary issues, this could pose a problem as well. The only saving grace were Neil and Tony, who are both outstanding. I won't get into further specifics but the only way I would recommend this facility is if you have truly unresolved trauma that might be addressed with a classroom setting and homework to truly get past the issue. read more

if I could give a zero for this facility I would. My daughter was in dire need of help and without this was the least expensive location I could find. Of course they were all about bringing her in for $15,000 cash. I managed to get her there and what to be a very comfortable quiet setting turned into absolute chaos. The director, Jan Coors, was out of her mind ADHDOCD whatever when she got there. My daughter needed a quiet unexcited entry. People came in and out left and right interrupting our intake interview. It was complete chaos. We there despite the uncertainty and $15,000 payment. We returned about a week and a half later as they have one week where you cannot visit. I told her social worker and a counselor when I had visited with her. I was concerned about her and she may be considering leaving. As it is an Atwell center there was no concern. I then got a phone call as I was driving back to Jacksonville Florida that she had left. A hysterical phone call by one of the the weekend shift when she had come up. I then did not get a phone call the next day to say whether or not she had returned or they found her. On Monday I called to see if they had found her or not. Her had no idea of what had happened. So the weekend crew did not even tell the social worker or appointed caseworker, of what had happened. She said she would look into it. Tuesday I got a phone call from intake asking how her exit interview went. All they knew was her name was not in the system and she must've checked herself out. she in fact did not check herself out and just left. This place is a nonrefundable location so do not give them a dime of your money. I have put in a call to director with no return phone call as of yet. I believe it may be a chain? Not sure do not any means utilize this recover recovery center. They are a scam. read more

My experience was phenomenal since I was really struggling with my mental health and addiction. The staff were very experienced, nice kind it was all about me lol. I love this place it was right on the water and I got out of it what I put into it yes there's groups all day long but they were really helpful the staff was amazing I would recommend this place to anybody. celadon Recovery saved my life. When I called there, the admissions women helped me verified my insurance and got me in as soon as possible. They were so helpful and reassured me that I would be able to get the help I needed and not be scared and feel safe. The behavioral health techs were so nice to me treated me with compassion and made me feel welcome. It was a judgment free zone in the hardest time of my life. The nursing staff gave me their undivided attention treated me with respect and made me feel so welcomed and comfortable. The rooms were very clean and I felt safe. The clinical staff really made an impact on my life and my treatment, and gave me some tools that I will be forever Grateful for. The property is so calming just being on the water and allowed me to enjoy the peace. If I could leave a minus number I would. Please do not ever recommend this facility to a friend, family or for yourself!!! They are committing insurance fraud by saying they are any program other than residential. They were charging my insurance company for PHP level of care and they only had one program and everyone was in the same groups! They couldn't even give a concrete answer as to if they had the program! You are supposed to give some of your privileges back after doing 30 days of residential treatment. Phone privileges, less classes etc. this does not exist there and you are in the same as the people that just walked through the door. A few techs treated you well and techs like Layla and Tony treated you horribly. Especially screaming after you when you leave the facility like Layla did and she went to school for nursing. PHP treatment programs have very specific guidelines with the insurance companies as to what that level entails. This place will lie to you and just give you the round around when you question it and just wants your insurance money. You have the same group as someone that just dropped off from the jail for mandatory residential. Please do not ever consider this place to help you rebuild your life. read more

During my 3 week stay I met with my assigned therapist once for the intake evaluation and the second was for my discharge. The nursing staff is highly incompetent with one nurse especially, Linda. She falsely reported information to the Practitioner and when I asked her to correct it she simply laughed and disregarded my request. They were not helpful in any of the reasons why I went to Celadon from medication management to dealing with my PTSD from my recent marriage. The rules changed on a whim with every day. The initial phone consultations promised such things as a gym, equine therapy, etc NONE of those amenities were available during my stay. Medication management was limited to what I was already taking before arrival and when I inquired about different meds to help in my recovery it was a non starter UNTIL I threatened to leave...in which they promptly prescribed what I asked for. Additionally, before my departure ALL of my discharge paperwork was laying out on the Tech Counter for other clients to peruse at will which is a huge violation of my privacy. Terrible ripoff of an organization. The staff are all new and there is so much infighting between Nursing and Clinical while the administrator "DR J" (not a real doctor mind you) was too busy redecorating his office to bother with client needs. When I was given permission to order necessities off Amazon which all the other clients were allowed to do, Rolando the Operations Director took it upon himself to say that I was not allowed to make such orders moving forward, obvious discrimination for no reason. Clients openly became romantically involved and would have sexual relations which was against Campus Policy but overlooked by the Clinical staff. The Chef made food that was inedible and when we would ask for something else he would go into a tirade of us all being ungrateful spoiled brats....sorry I don't eat fish Chef. This was by far one of the worst institutions I have ever come across. Additionally, I have been requesting my records for the last 2 months with no response. I could go on and on about the failures of this place. Group therapies involved us reading off printouts made from online sources and half the time the staff did not even read what was on the papers they were handing out! read more
