Oh my word, the sweetest preschool in Contra Costa County, hands down!!! My daughter absolutely LOVES this school, and so do I! In our few short months here, my daughter has BLOSSOMED. She was welcomed and loved by her teachers and classmates from the very first minute she was in the classroom. She has been challenged academically, which has been so much fun for her! Along with learning to write full words as well as recognizing and sound out words, my daughter really enjoys learning Spanish as well as kid friendly science experiments she has been doing with her classmates. The classrooms (and teachers) are so engaging and thoughtful, I have never seen so many kids feel so comfortable with their teachers! Every time I've been in the classroom, it is clear that every teacher here works very hard to ensure that your child's time at Celebrations is successful and FUN. Celebration Center is a very friendly, safe, and inviting place to visit. The classrooms are spick n' span clean, with projects made from the children lovingly hung up all around the classroom. The playground alone is enough to make you want to come back, it's so cute! The school goes above and beyond with holiday parties, winter and spring programs the children perform for their families, special visitors in the classroom, family breakfast morning, even parent appreciation week. Once a week the children get to participate in chapel, where they get to sing and dance and learn about Jesus. It will seriously leave you misty eyed from how sweet it is! Another thing that makes this school stand out is that the staff truly wants to encourage all parents to be the very best parent they can to their children. They have a wonderful library full of solid and loving Christian based parenting books. This is a true Christ centered school, with a professional and accountable staff. As parents, we enrolled our child at Celebration Center because of its Christian foundation and the promise of a school that partners with families in raising and educating children. The kindergarten year was great. 1st grade, however, well, lets just say, recent events have shown us that this school does not practice what it preaches. Without detailed communication or parental consent, Celebration brought in a guest speaker from Committing to 16 -- someone with no formal training in early childhood education -- to speak to a class of 6-year-olds. Even worse, the speaker contradicted her own organization's message ["Committing to 16 is designed to help prevent mental health issues that come with social media use in kids and teens by avoiding social media usage until 16..." ] by encouraging kids to stay on social media... at six years old! How is that in line with Christian values or healthy child development? C'mon Nurse Kelli - make it sound right. And that's just grazing the top layer of their presentation slides... there's more than social media. How about, vaping, sexual touching? Yeah, that. Even public schools have consents toward subjects spoken on that subject. We're raising our child in a very intentional and supervised way. No sleepovers. No random adults without us present. No unsupervised screen time -- ever. Every minute of his exposure to media is something we explain and walk him through. So, to find out that Celebration assumed all children were on the same path and delivered such content without consent? Completely unacceptable. When my wife addressed the issue in person, she was met with dismissive body language and zero accountability. From what I gathered, they didn't seem to think they did anything wrong -- or perhaps they just labeled us as "overprotective parents." Let me be clear: We may be the first to speak up, but we are not alone. Other parents we've talked to were equally outraged. To top it off, our child has mentioned they often watch YouTube in class. If that's what we're paying thousands a year for, we could have stayed home and done that ourselves -- for free. Celebration Center claims to partner with parents, but in our experience, they make major decisions without transparency and then stand by them without reflection. We no longer trust the school's judgment, and we certainly don't feel they prioritize the well-being or innocence of the children in their care. If you're a parent looking for a school that truly respects and collaborates with families, think twice before enrolling here. They might say the right things, but their actions tell a different story. read more

I highly recommend Celebration Center to every parents. I am grateful to all the teachers here from my heart. I still remember my daughter crying every day when she first came here, but her teachers accompanied and enlightened her patiently. All the teachers here know my daughter's name and greet her warmly every morning. Soon, my daughter stopped crying and looked forward to coming to school every day. When issues occur they sent our child home without fully understanding the issue and working with our child. Great teachers great school! Posted a two stars based on the elder program they have started at the school. My son went to Celebration for two years and he had a great time. The teachers were awesome and kept us very informed on everything going on. We started our daughter this year 2019 to find out on back to school night they had started a new elder group program. We were informed the elder people have their own classroom which is located inside the locked and secured school where the kids have class. We were informed that the elder people would be interacting with the children twice a month for 45 minutes. When we spoke to staff regarding this change they explained that the elder people could interact with our children twice a month where they can hug, speak with, interact, etc. The school never told us or asked if our daughter could participate in this. This was hard for me to wrap my head around allowing elder people inside a locked and secured pre-school. read more

My daughter attends Celebration, and my son will start next year. I have nothing but good things to say about the school and its' teachers. After 2 years at an in-home preschool that we were less than thrilled with, we transferred to Celebration and my daughter has been nothing but successful!! She loves going to school and is learning a lot. As a teacher myself I have seen the level of academics change drastically over the years, and I am pleased that Celebration is constantly updating their academic program to include many "PK" skills and standards. Yet, they still have maintained the general greatness of their program. Children need to learn a handful of things in preschool that are academic, but the primary job of a preschool is social and emotional growth. Kids need to learn to follow directions, understand a schedule, get along with other kids etc. Celebration does a wonderful job of teaching all these life skills. My daughter gets to paint, play outside on the best preschool yard I have ever seen, have free choice play time (which is vital to a preschoolers development), as well as work on her letters, sounds, writing, and math skills. She does these things while learning how to be a good friend, how to take turns, and how to problem solve. In addition, I am thrilled with her teachers. They communicate with me as needed and are always quick to get back to me with an answer if I have a question. The "extra" activities are out-of-this-world. The staff goes so far above and beyond for things like Grandparents day, Dad's day, and The Christmas Celebration, I could hardly believe it. I can't wait for Mom's day. I would recommend this school to any parent, but don't just take my word. Check out the local schools and see where you and your child feel most comfortable. Celebration Center is by far the best preschool and after school care in the area. This school is full of loving, kind, educated teachers. Many of the teachers have worked at the preschool for 10+ years. The classrooms are clean, full of fun and learning. The school hosts multiple family events throughout the year- grandparents day, moms day, dads day, spring and Christmas programs. The curriculum amazing and the kids have fun learning. Both of my girls attended this school. The teachers make it a point to know each and every kid by first name. My children always felt safe and loved at school. They made huge strides learning. We recently moved and have had the hardest time finding a school that compares to celebration Center. We miss Celebration already and plan to go back and visit often. read more

Both of my sons attend Celebration, and the school is absolutely awesome! The teachers are all attentive, friendly and caring. They genuinely care about the kids and it shows. The curriculum is above standard! They teach and encourage Christian values and foundation in everything they do. The teachers are always in communication with you about how your child is doing. Also, they've just relocated to a beautiful brand new campus that is allows for fun for kids of all ages. Both of my kids have gone to Celebrations. This is the best preschool I have seen (and I looked at many on my hunt). The teachers are all very caring and gentle with the children and they all have great attitudes with the parents and other teachers. You have to enter a code to get past the lobby, and there is always someone at the front desk, it makes it feel more secure and safe than some other places. They have a huge playground with several different types of activities and equipment. The classes are well stocked and well organized. There is a Christmas play and a Spring play and they go all out for these. They have special events for Grandparents Day, Mother's Day and Father's Day. Lots of fun and the kids really look forward to these special days. I would highly recommend it. Some years there is a waiting list but worth the effort to check into it early!! read more

Celebration Christian is by far the best pre-school in the area. My oldest child is now 5 1/2 and he has gone there since right after he turned 2. My youngest started at 2 and is now 3 1/2. I have had only positive experiences at this facility. There have been nightmarish places in the past with my oldest and childcare, so I know what the red flags are, and I know that I will accept nothing but the best for my children. I can say with complete honesty that I have had 0 bad experiences with the staff. No bad experiences in 3 1/2 years? None! I am an honest person and have nothing to gain from fibbing. Every teacher that my children have encountered has been fantastic. The teachers there genuinely care about each and every child. They are present, loving, and attentive. As someone who has worked in the education field for my entire adult life, I appreciate the curriculum and Iknow that it is being used. They do evaluations and assessments regularly, which I love. I can tell the teachers if I have a concern or question about something and they are more than happy to help me out. I would also like to add that the staff all has a fantastic relationship with one another. Being that there'sno drama going on, and the staff genuinely cares for one another, it makes for a peaceful place for my children. My children come home from their days at school and are eager to share the new things they've learned, songs they've sung, and countless stories of friendship. I can only attribute this joy to hard-working, dedicated, and loving staff. The office staff at Celebration is exceptional. Those ladies are the first adults that I see every morning and I am always greeted with a smile and "good morning". I trust them and value everything that they have done, and continue to do for my family. Those gals have helped me over the years more than they will probably ever know. With my oldest going to kindergarten in about a month, things are getting bittersweet. I will still have my youngest enrolled in Celebrations, but having him say goodbye to such a wonderful place makes me emotional. As teachers, my husband and I have both been very pleased with Celebration. We were a little nervous about having our kids in such a large preschool (because of germs), but both of our kids have been very healthy while attending Celebration! No stomach viruses, pink eye, or serious bugs in over two years!! In response to the other negative review about the duck class, our son loved being a duck (two yrs ago). This is the best Pre School in Brentwood. My daughter has been going here for a year and a half and I am so sad that she will be leaving to start Kindergarten. My daughter goes to school 3 days a week but she wants to be there everyday. She loves the teachers and her friends and the playground. The staff is friendly and you can tell they all really love children. I love that this is a Christian school and they teach the children to be disciples of Jesus. Well I did check out Celebration Christian School however, when I walked in I felt like I was in a doctors office not a preschool. I thought it was strange that I wasnt greeted right away and it made me a little anxious. When I got in to see the classrooms the children seemed to be enjoying them selves yet, the teachers didnt seem as inviting. One teacher was talking to another all the way accross the room while another teacher was trying to perform circle. I didnt feel very comfortable. read more

My 4 year old Granddaughter is a "lamb" she absolutely loves going to Celebration. Normally my daughter in law or her mother pick her up, but occasionally I get the honor when I am visiting. The security is amazing. Not being a regular, I happily am asked for my ID so they can be sure I am authorized, then once in the locked door, I was asked to show ID again to satisfy the teacher for the first couple of times....in these days you can't be safe enough. I was impressed that even though my Granddaughter ran up and hugged my legs, her teacher just wanted to double check. I have watch her blossom, make friends, and actively participate in activities. My Daughter in law is a teacher and she could not be happier with the curiculum, she spent week interviewing and visiting schools in the area, Celebration stood out to her. I expect my little 17 month old Grand daughter will be going to Celebration when she is old enough. Grandpa and I loved "Grandparents Day" and they Christmas show was fabulous.
