Absolutely loved our experience at Hilltop Christian Preschool! Highlights: This preschool is safe, fun, inclusive, and filled with tons of faith based learning. My son attended Hilltop Christian Preschool for two years, giving him the opportunity to participate in both their Pre K and TK programs. Before Hilltop, he had never attended a formal school setting, so watching his growth over those two years was truly incredible. The teachers are absolutely phenomenal (Mrs Gilary, Mrs Tina, Mrs. Dorothy and Mrs. Alejandra), and there are so many reasons why. They genuinely have a love for teaching and for the children they serve. They encourage independence, nurture each child's individual personality, and create creative, engaging programs that allow children to learn naturally and organically. They also provide so many special experiences throughout the year, including multiple performances that give the children opportunities to build confidence and shine. When my son first started, he had HUGE feelings and very few words in his toolbox to express them. I watched the teachers meet him with patience, compassion, encouragement, and consistency. Little by little, they helped him find his voice, become more independent, and develop the confidence to navigate new experiences. By the time he started kindergarten, he was confident, reading, expressing himself beautifully, and leading conversations. That transformation speaks volumes about the love, dedication, and intentional teaching he received at Hilltop. I will forever be grateful to the teachers and staff at Hilltop Christian Preschool for helping lay such a strong foundation for my son. They didn't just prepare him academically for kindergarten, they helped him grow socially, emotionally, and personally. My grandson was born during Covid. He is very bright, caring, and charismatic. The one thing missing was an environment to socialize with kids his age and learn in a positive and nurturing environment. My daughter found this when she enrolled him into Hilltop Christian School. He has grown so much and this was because of the wonderful teachers and aides at the Hilltop Christian Preschool. He started with Mrs. Hillary where she helped him mature and focus while learning about Jesus in a safe and non judgmental classroom. She cares about her children and their families. After he left her class, he was promoted to his pre k class where Mrs. Dorothy Coker took over. She provided him with structure and discipline to prepare him for Kindergarten. She works so hard to make sure that her students are prepared for Kindergarten. They are so innovative when it comes to assignments and programs that they put on throughout the year. Yesterday we attended the Pre-K graduation and they did not disappoint. They made sure that all of the graduates felt special and appreciated. Thank you Hilltop Christian Pre-School for the work that you do year round. Your love for the children that you are entrusted with show in all that you do. As a psychology professional of many years that specializes in working with kids, steer clear of "Miss Dorothy". Unfortunately she is very unprofessional in her communication style because it is embedded with microaggressions. When she judges you to be someone she doesn't like / who is "not good enough" for her standards / or you don't do something in the way she wants it done, she will make it clear in how she treats you; and charges you extra fees. For instance, this last Christmas when she decided each student in the class needed to buy every single other student in the class a present for gift exchange, our family couldn't do that this year due to financial hardship so we were met with a negative attitude and she has treated us and our daughter poorly ever since. We are pulling our daughter out immediately because the last thing we want her to think is that that this type of behavior demonstrated by Miss Dorothy is Godlike or something to aspire to. read more

I super love HCS. My son has been attending this wonderful school since preschool and he is now a third grader and I love everything about it. I love the new Principal, she is awesome! I'm so impressed with this school. I am the new pastor of the community and have to give props to the new principal who is regularly affirmed by the kids and staff on her leadership. The classroom sizes are about 15-25 kids per class and has a Christian foundation that is Bible based. read more

My review is really based on an outsider looking in. I had the pleasure of helping out and 8 year little girl to and from school. I was extremely impressed that I could drive right up and drop her off with out a wait or disgruntled parents that were running late. I was able to see her go right into class from the the front of the school. When I would pick her up I would go to the door where there is excellent security. You can't just walk in. The door remains locked at all times and the teacher watches as you pick the child up. The class sizes are smaller than average so the students gets more one on one attention and they're numerous after school activities to keep your child learning beyond the class room. I was very impressed with this school. There attention to detail, security and overall beautiful and positive environment is something I would want for my child (if I had one)!! This is a Great School! My daughter is attending her second year at HTCS. Everyone is extremely helpful and friendly. The staff encourage's learning and my daughter has really started to excel in her work. I feel very safe with my daughter attending the school. As my daughters 2nd year here closes. We continue to enjoy this Christian school & the teachers. We are grateful to have Mrs. Cornell as her 1st & 2nd grade teacher. The school has a new principal, Mr. Lepulu and since his arrival have seen some positive changes. The school has proactively raised money to upgrade technology in the class rooms and with that has given us hope and satisfaction in keeping our two boys enrolled. We are hopeful in the continued success of this school. My Son is a kindergartener at Hilltop and also attended their pre-K program. I absolutely love the school. In addition to the campus being well cared for and very secure, my son is learning so much both in curriculum and values. He sings so many of the young Christian songs that I grew up on around the house and is always excited to tell me about different facts he learned in class. Mrs. K is excellent and very patient. Her open door policy is perfect for a mother like me who likes to participate in the classroom, and she always gladly welcomes my 7 month old daughter as well. I am a parent of a child at this school I year 4. In my opinion this school is the best private school in Antioch and Brentwood. Before I enrolled my daughter It took me a whole year to do my homework and compare the schools. Wonderful learning and christian/spiritual up bringing! We have come to admire the good work done by Hilltop Christian School since our son , joined the school about two years ago including preschool year. His reading, maths, science, and interactive skills are incredible day by day. His awesome kindergarten teacher, Ms. K is a skilled educator. She makes learning fun and our child came home happy daily. His teacher combined humor, wit, discipline and high expectations to improve our child's confidence. My daughter first went to Hilltop Christian Preschool and I loved the staff and the environment so much I decided to enter her in school at Hilltop Christian School. She started as a kindergartener and is now in the first grade there. The teachers are amazing and very friendly. The education that she is receiving is good as well especially since there is not so many kids to a classroom which is great for the kids because they get the most one on one attention that they need and deserve. Me my husband feel really good about our decision in having her attend this school. My others daughter will be enrolled in there next year as well as a kindergartener. read more

This school is very nice, but sadly there are not as many students here as before. Most of the teachers that I knew that taught there are no longer there. I made friends here, and I had a good and bad times in middle school here. The preschool is nice, and the food is fresh and tastes good. They have great Christmas events and other school events, and the place goes from preschool to 8th grade. There are sadly many rooms that are not in use, and I hope that the school does not go out of business, especially after all the work that was put into the new church and in fixing the surrounding areas of the church. There are nice views of the Antioch hills and some of the shopping areas in Antioch. The faculty here cares about the safety and welfare of their students, and they care about their students learning and care about them getting closer to God. Church services are held here on Saturdays in the new church. Where church is held is also where it is an inside gym and where events are held. There is a playground for litle kids in the back of the church, and there is a basketball court and a grass field to play on. There are many bushes and trees planted around the school. The school is at the top of an hill and is close to an elderly home. They held some of the best Christmas programs, and the school as a whole has a safe campus. The school can be expensive, but if you care about your kids' education and safety, the school is worth your kids being in. The school is about two stories, and school as a whole is clean and organized. I made friends at this school, and their office is on the second floor. Their cafeteria is where the food is served and where students eat outside behind the school or in the cafeteria. read more

I have 2 children that went to Hilltop Christian School from Pre-K to 8th grade. In all those 10 years that my 2 older children studied at HCS, as a parent I never regret that I brought them in this amazing school. My 2 children who went to HCS are now Sophomore and Freshman in Heritage High School. Them, as highschoolers, they are very competitive in all their classes with very good grades and maintains in the Dean's List. It just shows that they have developed very good learning habits and skills from the school they came from, Hilltop Christian School or HCS. The HCS curriculum, the sports, and most the music department are exceptional. Academically my children learned pretty well here in this school, the values that my children learned from this school is very important to me. Spiritually, they learned to be closer to our Lord God. Now, I still have one child that currently goes to HCS as a Kindergartener. He also went to HCS Pre-school for 2 years. This child of mine developed good social skills and learning more everyday from Kindergarten. He is excited to become a first grader of HCS soon. Our son has been at HCS for three years and it has more than met our expectations for academics, music and a good, well mannered environment! The program is organized helps the children develop in many ways with a strong emphasis on music, which we really appreciate. Our son has developed his saxophone skills playing in the band and there is access to music instruction after school as well. The teachers are interested in the students and energetic. They put a lot of effort into the programs and getting to know each child. The class sizes are small in our experience and the teachers have time to work individually with each child. My son has learned well at HCS, including responsibility, speaking and listening, and respecting others. Family involvement is encouraged in a nice way. read more

My daughter is three years old and has been with Hilltop for 8 months. This is was BEST decision that I could have made for my daughter. I looked at many schools Hilltop blew me away. The school has security which is very important to me. You have to be buzzed in and there is a camera to ensure that you are seen before being buzzed in. The activities and porjects that the friends so are great. There seems to be no lack of funding for the student and they have many resouces. The school looks new and it smells so clean. Now the staff....they are amazing. I do not think twice about sending my daughter to school all day. She is happy to go and on the weekend even asks if she can go to school. The teachers are loving, kind and also firm. Each teacher has their own personality and ways they deal with the friends, but they are all great. You feel like a family and the director really cares for the children. There is nothing bad that I can say about the shcool.
