I have attended two services in the last week and I'm loving Celebration! Pastor Stover is on fire for God and it shows in his messages. And the praise and worship team are incredibly talented! The church has a book store and a cafe inside. And if you have kids there is a kids program so you can enjoy service while your kids are taken care of by church volunteers. It is a huge church with many attendees. Sunday offers two services. First service is for those who are early risers and another for folks like me that don't like to get up early on Sunday. I attended the 11:30 AM, service. And the Wednesday service is at 7 PM. In the next few weeks I'm planning to explore small groups at church and see what groups would be of interest to me. With a large church this size small groups are important so you don't get lost in the shuffle. If you are looking for a church home you should attend a service and see what you think. After moving back home to Jacksonville, I found myself longing for the church and church family I left behind in Gainesville, FL. I was quite miserable and decided to find a church home that was as close to what I left behind which was the source of my greatest growth in God. After visiting and attending several churches, God led me to Celebration Church and I've been there for a total of 4 years now. Since attending Celebration Church, God has increased my knowledge even the more through the messages and the plethora of resources available from the church and through several media outlets the church makes available for free including the church app, podcasts, YouTube channel, and Vimeo videos. There is no way for one not to have an encounter with God when attending Celebration Church Jax. Joined Celebration last year but have been attending for quite some time with friends, it wasn't until last Christmas I became more frequent in worshipping here. Let me tell you, it's been an amazing experience! To come from a conservative religion growing up with many rules to a this church that accepts those who believe and walk in Jesus. Judgement free zone! Love that there is a family lounge, nursery, and cafe all under one roof! Staff members are very helpful and care. Lost and confused? Someone can always help you! What I've enjoyed the most is learning about the Bible. I grew up where bible verses and versions of the Bible were cherry picked. This is a church that I visited for the first time to see The Grinch. Compared to my church this is a much larger campus with a full cafe and their bookstore. I've heard a sermon online before and it didn't necessarily speak to my Spirit, but I'm always open to listening again. I'll say they have an an amazing production team, lighting, and crew. Their music department is very talented and they have some very talented people doing the work for God. During their production of The Grinch, we were able to hear their head pastor and his mini sermon about coming to Christ. He was on point and many people answered the call to live for God. I'd like to visit again on another Sunday just to hear the word because lights and shows may be a great way to get people through the doors... but the Word is what feeds the soul and keeps people there. If you've never seen the Grinch at Celebration you're missing out and I highly recommend it. read more

i went up to the alter for prayer with Mark who is currently on the prayer team. his first mistake was sayin, "didn't i pray for your back before?" he made it sound like i could only come to the alter once. i was so put out by his ignorance and dumb attitud!!!! then he proceeded to tell me that the charm that was chain was evil. the charm was in Nefertiti charm, and he said I was representing pure evil and he told me to take it off and not to wear it again! read more

The key to feeling a part of Celebration is getting involved in serving teams and small groups. If you don't, you'll get lost in the crowd.

Always good to be in the House of God, regardless of the denomination. Celebration is non-denominanational, so it's more free form. Good Bible preaching with contemporary messages. The music is loud and you can feel the bass in your chest some times. They have a great kids program and the Pastor, Stovall Weems, has a real heart for the youth. The music was way, way too loud and my ears were literally in pain. I had to leave. I tried again, coming later after the music and the "sermon" was pretty weak. The pastor talked about his sordid past and how awesome he is now. To be fair, the regular pastor was away (?) and this was one of the junior pastors. It has the feel of a country club type place set up to make money to me, not an actual church focusing on individuals. I'm obviously not an regular attender, based on this. So take it for what it's worth from someone who only gave it a couple of tries before giving up on it. read more

Please read my story: my name is Joshua and I'm new to Christianity, I was a gang member for several years. Sunday night I threw all of my drugs away and destroyed my scales. I prayed and asked God to help me because I don't know anything about Christianity. I contacted this church amongst others and begged for help. I was transferred from one person to another and was told I would be helped. I was so excited here people finally care. I was told to wait at the hotel I checked out of, so I did. That was at 10am. They said they would bring me to the church and sit with me and talk. Nobody came. I kept calling and they said they can't help me. Why did I sit for seven hours if they weren't coming. I walked my girlfriend down JTB in the rain to her job and waited. I contacted them and asked what I did wrong and pleaded for help. Finally one of the men that works there said I will come help you get a hotel. When he arrived he was just cold. He brought a officer with him, I was treated like a criminal. They said you have to have a credit card to rent a room. So he said"I guess your good". As he left I tried to talk to him and he said he has nothing to say to me. He wouldn't even pray with me. I called the church and they prayed over the phone. Now I'm sleeping outside in the cold rain. I don't know much about the Bible, but this really made me hesitant. I just feel so disappointed and confused. read more
