This church is clearly all about money instead of what it should be . They have satellite churches everywhere and even hold services within assisted living facilities . The curriculum is very challenging and the school hold the kids to very high standards academically and morally. We have felt that it is a school that requires a lot of family involvement whether it is volunteering in the classroom, sporting events, in the cafeteria or putting on enriching activities for the kids. The school is very diverse and everyone is invited to pitch in. I really love that the kids go through middle school in the same elementary environment. He was my Priest at St. Patrick's before we moved down to Orlando and when we moved back to Jax, it was such a nice surprise that he is now the Priest at this Parish near my home. St. Matthew's also has such a wonderful and welcoming community. I feel very blessed to live so close. There's a wonderful school here which I highly recommend. Both of my children went through parochial school through the 8th grade at St. Patrick's. You just can't give a better education to your child... at least that's my humble opinion.
