I had originally written a brutal and honest review in the beginning of the year after a perfect storm of issues we encountered as new residents. After taking the rest of the year to reflect and monitor the progress and improvements, I am happy to write a new review. The school has been in what seems to be a transitionary phase with the principle and other school leaders. In the beginning of the year, I had no confidence that the ship was heading in the right direction. Since October, the principle and rest of the staff have really proven that this is the A school that it is rated. Mr. Ballone had personally taken an interest in our child after our concerns in the beginning of the year and really showed integrity and compassion for what he is doing. Our daughter was in the first grade, and we have nothing but great things to say about her teacher, and the others that we have encountered. While we wish we had taken advantage more, I love the policy that you are allowed to go and eat lunch with your children. This is a neat thing to do. The school and parents are all very active in the community. We have weighed the options of private school and have elected to keep our daughter here, really feeling that it is a great place for her. read more

The amount of bullying that happens at the school is crazy. And nothing is being done about it. It's so sad that the way kids are today it makes it hard for other kids to stand up to them selfs against the bullies. How is a child supposed to stand up for themselves now a days. Show me the school lunches are absolutely crap and PE is a joke. They don't even take any effort to do it. Some of the teachers are corrupt the yelled at me for confusing a Halloween tree for a Christmas tree when the windows are tinted. read more

I really like this school. It is the reason we moved to celebration. The teachers are great, the office is friendly, and the campus in nice.

This is the only pre-school, elementary and middle school right smack in the middle of the Incorporated Town of Celebration, FL. My two children have had the pleasure and honor of going to this awesome school. It's like a community and family here. It is ranked A in the Osceola County School System. Love the fact that the teachers and counselors take the time and effort to get to know each student and their parents making you feel like an integral part of your children's education formation. It is a public school. Only downfall is that it doesn't provide school bus transportation so all children must either ride or walk to and from school. a racist comment about latinas is quite childish and inappropriate. you should be careful what you post online. personally I love the diversity at this school. What I do not like is the racism, a few times I have been told about situations where the white children and/or the children from wealthy people are favored. if you see who made the olympics team for elementary, it's proof enough. the racism is the ugliness. read more

The middle school students have no recess and must sit in alphabetical order in the lunchroom and in assigned seating on the bus. This means they have no time whatsoever to be with likeminded kids and make friends. My daughter was sitting curled up in a ball crying because she is forced to sit by kids that play tic toc, a social media app, the whole lunch. She hates tic toc but she's not allowed to sit with some kids she thinks she might enjoy talking to who don't have the same last name letter as her. She has thought about going to sit with some other kids but recently the school started cracking down even harder on kids who don't sit in alphabetical order. She is too scared to risk it. She is so sad, saying that there is no reward for all the hard work at school if you don't get to have friends. Why would adults do this to kids, take away their joy and ruin their childhood? I can't understand how educated normal people could make decisions like this. Where does this kind of decision come from? Instead of helping change things, the counselors just send me messages saying "She's having fun with the kids next to her at lunch. She's happy." But it's obvious to me that she's not happy! She's never been this unhappy. (There are several other rules that are also making her miserable). Other people are also upset about this lunch policy but have told me that nothing changes even if you meet with the administration. One lady at the bus stop told me that her daughter is on a table with all boys. Another told me that her daughter is on a table with all students who speak Portuguese so she just has to bring her headphones and has no one to talk to at all. Middle school students are at an age when friends are everything and are crucial to psychological development. read more

Very disappointing place. The building, grounds, and facilities are adequate, but the administration and many of the teachers are truly not working in the best interests of the children. This is part of a planned, corporate community, and the school (and sadly, many of the families) buys into the facade. Bullying is rampant and constant toward any child who is inexplicably not part of the in-crowd, and the adults not only do nothing to stop it, they actually foster these attitudes among the children. Several of the kids seem depressed and are visibly excluded and isolated. Most concerning, the educators appear oblivious to the long-term implications for the kids. I realize that the parents of the bullies bear some of the blame, but most schools make some effort to encourage inclusive behavior. This one does not. read more

This school is located in the beautiful town of Celebration. My son is in 1st grade here. The staff is friendly and his teachers are fantastic. The staff keep the kids secure with strict drop off and pick up procedures. read more
