I knew Razor Dolls wasn't full of barbers, but true artists. As soon you get past the skate decks on the walls and the books on tattoos, Razor Dolls has the friendly demeanor of your local corner barber shop. You just want to hang out with them after hours, sipping beers and discussing the latest dramas/events in their lives. In fact, I'm pretty sure they'll offer you a beer to sip while you're getting trimmed! I've had Ryan and Haley cut my hair, and every time they keep one-upping themselves for the best haircut ever. They take their time making sure everything is perfect, so make sure to plan ahead. For a men's cut & wash, it took me between around 60 minutes, and up to 90 minutes. You won't want to leave, but I've warned ya! The prices are definitely higher (for a men's cut) than any other salon I've been to, but worth it for the BEST haircut of your life. My girlfriend couldn't get over how sexy I looked.

The stylists are totally competent as are the colourists, but in the six months I was having my hair done here not once did I have anyone ask me where I got it done. Moreover, unless you're famous or under 22 the staff probably won't warm to you, remember you or give you any sort of service that makes you feel like anything other than a way to fill in their day between cigarettes. They're certainly not rude... but they're also not memorable. But that's okay, because neither are you ;)

Not overly crowded, there are only about 5 or 6 chairs for customers at the front of the store and then the washing station up the back. I have had at least three different stylists all of which have been very impressive. I do however have to recommend Bree, she is a senior technician and I always go for her for my cuts and colours, she is great! Derren skill as a 'colourist' is well known globally, but what you may not know is that he is a magician when it comes to bringing dull hair to life, for making unruly hair stay up for a formal function (perhaps more impressive is that he makes you feel at ease about having your hair 'up' in the first place!). Mark has also worked wonders in getting me out of a tricky tangled hairbrush situation. All really nice people who inspire confidence, a gem of a find.

A stunningly beautiful salon, they aren't into freaky avant guard cuts and scary colours, they just want to do gorgeous hair. I always walk out of there with shiny, bouncy locks and receive endless compliments on my hair from strangers. I can't take any of the credit for that, except for growing it. They use label M products, and have this dusting powder stuff that is insane for volume and root lift. The stylist tips the product into her hand, and the powder literally doubles in size as it hits the air. Amazing! Would not hesitate to send people here in a heartbeat.

Gave directions on length blending and thinning. He followed none of them and when he was finished I asked him to fix a couple things, instead he threw some product in my hair and said go see your usual stylist if you don't like what I did. My hair was patchy, unblended, skewed and unproportional. I had black little hairs on my face because he didn't wash the scissors before cutting my hair. Just moved to the area and so I don't have a usual stylist champ. Went up the road and paid $10 more for the best cut I've had in years.

I said that's me , and she kept saying how she can't guarantee the colour to which I said that's fine, and then I asked if I could make an appointment and she said how they don't take appointment so I'll have to come really early, to which again I said that's fine and she kept pushing wanting to end the convo, so I said thanks and proceeded to leave I overheard her say ooohhh my Gooodd as I left I turned around and I could see her imitating me and talking about me rolling her eyes I'm sure all the CCTv would have proof, telling a client and another hairdresser (lady) imitating me! I stood there watching the reflection from the mirror for a good 5 minutes and left. Honestly people don't think how hurtful they can be.
