My friends and I had the absolute pleasure to be driven by Raf from Galway to Kilkenny. Raf was very prompt, friendly and very knowledgeable about all of the towns we drove through and Ireland in general. My family and I used Celtic for a day trip from Galway to Lahinch stopping at Cliffs of Moher on the way. I am sure all the drivers for this company are great however we had Raff and he is the man!!! From the minute he picked us up he had my entire family laughing (including my two teenage daughters which isn't always easy). He taught us a ton about the Wild Atlantic Way and stopped at some really neat local places to see and to eat! He took us to a sheep farm, found us a local water hole coming out the side of a mountain and stopped to feed a donkey which my kids got a kick out of. Fergus picked us up from our hotel which was located in Galway and drove us to the Cliffs of Moher and back. He was early to pick us up and was ready to go whenever we were. We booked Celtic Chauffeurs for the day to take us to the Cliffs of Moher. Fergus picked us up at our hotel in a luxury Mercedes. Very comfortable for the long ride. It was a terrible rainy day - but Fergus made our trip a memorable one. He educated us on Ireland history. He took us to a chocolate factory where we had the best hot chocolate. TEN STARS!!!! As usual, we stumbled upon Fergus Lally on our trip to Ireland. Not being planners, we sat ourselves down our first day in Ireland in a pub and Googled for a driver for the next day. We read reviews and Fergus Lally stood out. We called him, fully expecting that he would be busy. To our surprise and excitement, he was available. We all fell in love with him over the phone. His Irish accent, enthusiasm and general charm won us over and we hired him immediately. Best decision we have ever made. We would need pages and pages to describe Fergus and his excellence at his job. Never have we ever met anyone who loves Ireland, his job and his family as much as this man. He managed to take us all over Southern Ireland to see sights our friends are now drooling over, that people had never heard of before, and we can only say that we always wanted for more! His knowledge and love of this country made everything better. We visited sights that we had never heard of and were not even on our radar. He took us to pubs where we hoisted with the owners, to a waterfall that we never heard of, to the Knock where the Pope had just visited to W.B. Yeats' burial site. Fergus kept us entertained, was funny and uber informative, yet he wasn't overly in your face and didn't ever become too much. Fergus is Irelands best kept secret, up until know. Book him, wind him up and let him go. You will not be disappointed, in fact, you will leave Ireland knowing more about the people, the history and the land then you could ever possibly imagine. read more

My wife and I planned an Ireland trip in Galway and Dublin and were lucky enough to have Fergus drive us between locations. Fergus is the perfect driver: friendly, knowledgeable, respectful, and flexible. After landing in Dublin from the US, Fergus drove us to a 6th century monastic site, Clonmacnoise. We then stopped in Athlone, where Fergus gave us time to explore on our own. He first recommended we have our first pints at Sean's Bar, Ireland's oldest pub, and tour Athlone castle. We then drove to our hotel in Galway. After a few days there, Fergus picked us up for our visit to the Cliffs of Moher and our return drive to Dublin. After a stop at the beautiful Dunguaire Castle, Fergus drove us to the cliffs via the beautiful Wild Atlantic Way along the Limestone Coast of the Burren. Along the way, Fergus stopped at a hidden gem, Hazel Mountain Chocolate Shop, which has amazing chocolates and coffee. Next, we visited Corcomroe Abbey and walked along the craggy limestone by the water, which felt like you were on a different planet. Right before arriving at the cliffs, Fergus found a perfect elevated spot to look out across the ocean and landscape and take some amazing pictures. We felt comfortable asking Fergus to stop so we could take pictures whenever we wanted. Arriving at the Cliffs of Moher, Fergus gave us all the information we needed to have the best looks and take great photos. After out visit, Fergus drove us to an amazing local fish and chip spot for lunch and started back on our journey to Dublin. Fergus was the perfect person to introduce us to Ireland and I would love the opportunity to ride with him again. read more

Our family traveled to Ireland and decided we wanted to see multiple cities within the country. When we got to Galway, we tried to book a private car, as opposed to a bus, so we could be more in control of what we saw. We called around and through Trip Advisor, stumbled upon Fergus. My sister immediately made the call and he agreed to chauffeur us the next day. It was such a memorable experience. Not only did he take us to locations we would have never found, but he tailored the tour for us. We tried local wine, cheese, beer and chocolate, explored a medieval castle, had a delicious lunch in a "matchmaking" town, saw a prehistoric monument, and stood at the Cliffs of Moher. It was so memorable that we actually canceled our original car service and booked Fergus took take us to Sligo the next day. He took us to two beautiful churches, one called Knock which the Pope visited the week before, a waterfall and a gorgeous cemetery where W.B Yeates. It was such a relaxing experience and our family really enjoyed it. Being in the company of Fergus was a true highlight and I will definitely be recommending him to everyone I know that's planning visits to Ireland. read more
