And what to I see when I first walk in? BOXES OF GLAZERS!!! I pick up my box, and proceed to check out. I am greeted by a friendly smile, and in a polite tone, he asks, "Is that all?". And on my way out, he tells me "See ya next time!" On my way out, I see one of Kwik Trips Mac and cheese cups. Oh my gosh, for $1.50, this was one of the best Mac and Cheeses I've ever had. The perfectly cooked noodles were smothered in a rich and creamy cheese sauce! With a bright design, clean bathrooms, and a very clean eating area, I can tell the employees put in an effort to make a clean experience for every customer. Overall, I never thought I would find a Kwik Trip in the northwoods better than the Clintonville Kwik Trip, but boy was I wrong!!! I love it here, and you will too!

I should say "we" because my husband and I shared for the most part. We had 2 fried chicken breasts and some potato wedges. I know from previous posts you're probably thinking, dang they eat unhealthy! Not always true, when we are out, we get things that we like. I had VSG (Gastric Sleeve) surgery so even the things we get I can only eat maybe a cup of it. Maybe a little more but that depends on what the food is. I mostly eat healthy at home and yes I can cook! Anyways.....the chicken breasts were juicy and the coating and skin was nice and crispy! Oh, I should tell you the name of the restaurant inside, it is called Chester's Fried Chicken. The potato wedges had a battered coating on it, which seemed floured? They were good, but I've eaten at a Chester's before and their wedges were seasoned. These did lack seasoning! Everything was decent, and might I add that the chicken breasts were HUGE! You get a lot of meat on them! It would have lasted me several meals! It was a long drive so we ended up wasting a lot of it unfortunately. We just couldn't eat all of their heavy portions, especially me! Besides the food at Chester's, this place was very clean and the people were really friendly! Makes me wish we had something like that here! My father-in-law did have some Apple Fritters that were in a box and he absolutely loved them! If we are up that way again, we will definitely stop by, and we will mention to others that it's a great place to stop if they go through there too! Very pleased!

We heard that this gas station had the cheapest gas around so we stopped off on our way heading north to south of WI. This is not the worlds best kept secret ...lol. Gas at a station across the road was 4 cents higher. Hubby gassed up while I used the restroom. The woman's restroom was very clean and well supplied. The place was busy with semi's pulling in and out too from their desolate pumps on the side of the building. Next stop I'll take time to look around the store.
