If looking for local chill vibes, this is your spot 2) Cost - One of the most reasonable places in them son entry ticket prices, almost half the price of other known Cenotes in the area 3) Family Friendly: Far more family friendly, not only they have a beautiful Cenote but also a train ride for kids plus have a man made zoo(with fake animal fixtures). It was a super nice train ride plus kids loved all the animal fixtures and the huge King Kong they have 4) Pool: They also have a dedicated pool area, so if you have folks or kids just wanting to chill by pool, they have adult and kid friendly pool areas. Overall we loved it here, the Cenote was beautiful plus you're able to do a zip line jump into the Cenote, super cool. We spent almost half a day here and thoroughly enjoyed it, we would definitely come back.

We visited Taak Bi Ha through My Quest Concierge Private Tours, booked through Viator as "VIP Tulum Private Tour." Taak Bi Ha was the last of three stops on our day tour. My wife and I couldn't have been happier with My Quest. We entered the cenote just after 12:15pm on a Monday. We stayed until about 1:30pm. During that time, the cenote wasn't crowded at all. There were other groups, but not many. The cenote opening is narrow and steep (watch your head). As soon as you enter and take a look at the cenote from the first elevated platform, the view is stunning. This cenote is an example of nature at its finest. Cenotes have formed over millions of years. Inside, there are man-made platforms which are great for taking pictures. We put on life vests, provided at the check-in shack, and we had our own snorkeling gear and flashlights from My Quest. We got into the water and our My Quest guide gave us a full tour of the cenote, including a pitch-black section where our flashlights and my phone light were our only sources of light. Snorkeling with flashlights is definitely the way to go as you'll be able to see the amazing caves, flowstones, stalagmites, etc. underwater. There's also beautiful coral and stalactites. Bring a waterproof camera. I used a waterproof phone pouch to take my pictures and videos. The water was so clean, clear, and blue. In addition, we saw bats. My wife absolutely loved the experience. She was incredibly happy and thought the cenote was so cool from a nature and science perspective. For her, this cenote was one of the highlights from our trip to the Yucatan Peninsula. I agree. She described the cenote as "other-worldly" and "like being on another planet." Taak Bi Ha is a underground/cave ceynote that is privately owned by a Mayan family. It's deep in…read morethe Dos Oros ceynotes area - you'll turn off the main highway and go for several kilometers, past several other (larger, more commercial) ceynotes. When we arrived, we were the only ones there. Like other places, you need to shower off any sunscreen etc before entering. No bug spray either so move quickly because the short walk through the jungle will have you swarmed! The entrance is through a small cave opening with a very steep flight of steps - wear water shoes and watch your head! Once inside, you'll be in a wonderland! Crystal clear blue water, swooping bats (lots of them!!) and beautiful stalagtites and stalagmites everywhere. I understand why these spaces were considered sacred to the Maya - it is truly another world. We didn't swim but you certainly can. This is an especially good place for divers - we were told that the caves here connect to a much larger system (and ultimately the largest underwater cave system in the world). Really happy we had the opportunity to check this place out!!

It is very deep & there is a cliff you can jump off of. There is also a shallow area to swim. The guy at entrance & all the locals were very friendly. The local kids even encouraged me to jump off the cliff & I needed their encouragement so that made it fun! You could spend quite a bit of time here swimming & lounging. Oh & no alcohol or sunscreen allowed. Also off to the right is another cenote which is not swimmable (dark, murky water). My sister was bitten by an ant when walking next to it so I would avoid that area.

We were thinking about a day trip to Holbox, but we met a local Yucatan couple at a cenote one day that said Punta Allen would be a much better option. The main deterrent is the road to get there, and that's what keeps the place such a hidden gem. They told us we would be fine in our little tiny rental car, but every blog/article online said you needed a 4x4. I read horror stories about getting stuck in the sand and the idea of getting a flat on a tiny strip of land in the middle of the ocean with nobody around for miles definitely scared us. We proceeded to ask local people, and they pumped us up to go, so off the hell we went! It was definitely the craziest drive I've ever experienced. There are so many dips everywhere, if you're not a good driver or a nervous driver it might not be a good idea. It is also one of the most beautiful drives through the jungle with glimpses of the ocean every now and then and watch out for the iguanas crossing the road. And then finally you reach the little town of Punta Allen, with no cell phone service and electricity only at certain times of the day. Amazing. There are plenty of eco tour options in the area, they're all connected so you're going to get the same price and tour. We were having lunch at one of the restaurants on the beach, and one of the tour boats was right there, so we finished up our super fresh seafood lunch and got right on the boat. Our host was amazing and man can he drive a boat! He's a local that's dedicated to this and knows this part of the ocean like the back of his hand. He took us to see dolphins, then to see sea turtles, then to snorkel around the coral reefs, and finally to the "natural pool." This was such an amazing experience! This was one of the most magical experiences in Tulum, which is already magical. The hardest roads sometimes lead to the most beautiful places. I don't know whose bumper sticker I read that on but it fits. The rough journey makes it that much sweeter, and I'm so glad we made it.

Just in terms of beaches and beauty, this is well-worth the price of admission all on its own. I have paid two visits to this park and, depending on the season, had two different experiences. One was the aforementioned slice of paradise when the beach was nothing but picture-perfect beauty. The other was during a summer tropical storm where the water was brown from all the kicked up sand, full of seawood and the waves were high and dangerous. Pick the time of year carefully to visit (the fall or early in the winter is better) and you'll be fine.

This is my second visit here and although it was still beautiful, the water wasn't as turquoise and breathtaking as I remember it being the first time I visited. After conducting some research, I do believe that has to do with the time of year of the visits. Regardless, it's still very enjoyable and worth checking out. It's basically a very calm lake. The atmosphere is calm, relaxed, and completely care free no worries vibe. It's the spot to definitely unplug and take in natures pure beauty right in front of your eyes. In the water are hammocks for swinging. An area for overlook. A few huge docks. There's also a few swings in the water. A bar area to purchase beverages and food items. Note, it does cost to get in. I believe it was $18.00 US dollars. You are not allowed to bring in sunscreen, you leave it at the door, and can take it on your way out. You're required to take a shower upon entering. Staff were friendly and explained everything well even with the bit of language barrier. My friend and I enjoyed our time for about two hours and if I come back in February/March 2026, I'd definitely come back for another visit.

The Laguna is only a few minutes of walking away from the parking lot. There is a nice observation tower to look at the shift between shallow and deep water. Regular swimmers are limited to the shallow area on the outskirts of the Laguna (which is very expansive) while divers with equipment are allowed to go to the deep center. In the shallow areas are various swings, hammocks, photo opportunities, and even volleyball nets (bring your own ball). We spent a few hours relaxing in the water and soaking up the sun. The ticket is 300 pesos per person and parking is free (need a small tip).

We ordered stuff on the menu, our server suggested we get the catch of the day and that they would give us a discount because they wanted to use the fish. We ordered 2. When it came out, we were all impressed with its presentation but we were more impressed when we ate it. So good! There's a 4% fee if you use a credit card. If you use dollars, they only give you 16 pesos to a dollar versus the 17.50. When the bill came out, a 15% gratuity was added to the bill, I told him that I didn't want to pay the 15% but insisted that he change it to 35% for being so attentive. Every time we turned around, he would see us and come over right away. I didn't catch his name unfortunately. He didn't really speak English. Luckily we had one person in our crew that spoke a little bit of Spanish. Next to the restaurant is a massage tent. Do it! I suggest not having any sand on you or else it'll feel like an exfoliation. I'm def hitting up this beach front restaurant again next time I'm in Cancun!
