This isn't a cenote, its basically a lake that about 3/4 of it is super shallow - like 4 feet and the back side of the lake is a huge hole that is so deep it like goes to the center of the earth. Easy to get to, like a 10 min drive from down town Tulum. Well enough marked. Easy parking and cheap entrance. Why I didn't rate it better is that the walk way to the lake is a mess so are the bathrooms. The 'shore' is a swamp so you really have to hang out on the pier - which is just fine, it may get a little crowded. There are two cenotes super close by to check out to make the trip more worth while. cenote cristal and escondido.

A sweet swimming hole w/ LOTS of natural flowers & fauna. They have an outhouse and a place to make a picnic shaded from the rest. We saw some amazing & above the marshy dock walk out to the warm waters!

This was our very first cenote on this trip. It's 500 pesos for adults and 250 pesos for kids that are less than 4'5" or so. Cash only. (If paying in US dollars, it's $30 US and $15 for children.) Be sure to collect your ticket. There is free parking out front as well. Once you go in, there are outdoor showers that you are expected to use to rinse off. No sunscreen is allowed. And before you get your Personal Flotation Device (PFD), they will check that you have showered. However, no one is actually watching you as you rinse off as some reviews have mentioned. They'll also provide a snorkeling mask too. You'll need to walk down some stairs and there's an option to rent a locker for 30 pesos. Some people left their belongings unattended, but you'll get a key for your locker and they'll hold your ID card until you return the key. It's a small area to snorkel around and you'll see a lot of turtles. There are some darker areas, and a waterproof flashlight would have been very useful during those parts. The water is super clear, so let's keep it that way. There's a large grassy area to dry off and relax. I would suggest bringing some snacks if you want to relax out in the sun because it does get cold in the water after awhile. There are no in and out privileges though. Overall, it's a nice little cenote to visit. I would recommend 1-2 hours depending on how much time you want to swim around. Park hours: 8:10 am to 4:45 pm, last entrance at 4:15 pm.

Locker rental was 30 pesos and equipment rental (livejacket) was included, just need to leave a security (ID, passport, etc) The experience was amazing as you get to swim along fish and turtles. You get to see them in action underwater. The sights underwater are incredible. The water is pretty clear and a bit chilly at the beginning but as you keep on swimming your body temperature adapts to it and it gets used to it Overall, it was really pretty and an amazing experience. Definitely worth coming here and checking it out. : )

We were thinking about a day trip to Holbox, but we met a local Yucatan couple at a cenote one day that said Punta Allen would be a much better option. The main deterrent is the road to get there, and that's what keeps the place such a hidden gem. They told us we would be fine in our little tiny rental car, but every blog/article online said you needed a 4x4. I read horror stories about getting stuck in the sand and the idea of getting a flat on a tiny strip of land in the middle of the ocean with nobody around for miles definitely scared us. We proceeded to ask local people, and they pumped us up to go, so off the hell we went! It was definitely the craziest drive I've ever experienced. There are so many dips everywhere, if you're not a good driver or a nervous driver it might not be a good idea. It is also one of the most beautiful drives through the jungle with glimpses of the ocean every now and then and watch out for the iguanas crossing the road. And then finally you reach the little town of Punta Allen, with no cell phone service and electricity only at certain times of the day. Amazing. There are plenty of eco tour options in the area, they're all connected so you're going to get the same price and tour. We were having lunch at one of the restaurants on the beach, and one of the tour boats was right there, so we finished up our super fresh seafood lunch and got right on the boat. Our host was amazing and man can he drive a boat! He's a local that's dedicated to this and knows this part of the ocean like the back of his hand. He took us to see dolphins, then to see sea turtles, then to snorkel around the coral reefs, and finally to the "natural pool." This was such an amazing experience! This was one of the most magical experiences in Tulum, which is already magical. The hardest roads sometimes lead to the most beautiful places. I don't know whose bumper sticker I read that on but it fits. The rough journey makes it that much sweeter, and I'm so glad we made it.

Great vibes, food, friendly staff, and child friendly. The space is beautiful and stylish, exactly what you would expect from a nice beach club in Tulum. As you walk through the lobby and restaurant, you pass the gorgeous pool that also has beach club seating options, you then step down onto the beach where there are beach beds on the sand, which is where we sat. The venue has lots of food options to choose from. Each person selects an appetizer, entrée, and unlimited cocktails. While pretty pricey, it's totally worth it. Overall the food was decent, not amazing. But with the fun music blaring from the DJ booth, the gorgeous ocean, and the delicious drinks, I wasn't too concerned that the food wasn't knocking my socks off. I highly recommend this beach club.

The tortilla chips were moon shaped, thicker, and crunchy - great to dip in ceviche for added texture. Balabamba Pizza had lobster on top of charcoal dough with some pesto and truffle. We really enjoyed great flavor mix. I washed it down with a Basil Bala Cocktail, which had bourbon, mixed berries, and sparkling water - refreshing! Notes: We went on a Monday so it was a relaxing chill vibe with awesome music to jam to while sitting in pool or lounging around. Also beach front neat and convenient. Fun cabanas and lounge furniture to relax on. Great service - friendly, helpful, and attentive. There's a 1600 pesos table minimum or 800 per person minimum, which we came for the food, drinks, and good vibes so it was totally worth it. Had a fantastic late lunch while relaxing under the sun, in the pool, with a drink in hand and music to dance to!

In May 2023, 6 of us were registered to go on the Southern Sport charter to Socorro through Ko'ox. We had *each* paid $5000 for the trip in advance. We boarded the boat Southern Sport (which was a dump, btw) and, after 24 hours, never left port because the boat had a mechanical issue. Because the operator canceled the trip, travel insurance did not cover the situation. Chucho, the owner, who was with us on the trip, promised us all that he would refund our money and make it right. "Just trust me." We had no choice, so I did. Chucho and his colleague Andrea promised they would pay on a payment plan over 8-10 months (no interest, but at least I'd get my money back). I agreed. I receive a payment in October and one in November. In December, Chucho asked if he could half it (claiming hardship) and wait a few weeks to receive it. Then he ghosted me - simply stopped answering and stopped paying. I am still ~$4,000 and the others are out their full $5000. Keeping our money was unethical and illegal. They got away with it with us -- don't let them get away with it with you as well.

I am so glad I did! Having a mini split A/C that was completely under my control and a shower in my own room was a luxury that I was grateful to have after being active outdoors all day everyday! Had I been in one of the tents with what seemed like questionable ventilation, my experience may have been quite different. First of all, they have an easy system to book online. Any emails I sent received a response within a day! That was very helpful! There are three different wifi options depending on your location in the two main buildings, so that was also nice. The location is on the southern end of Tulum pueblo, not by the beach. There are bikes for rent at 120 pesos/day (you can get one cheaper in town for about 100 pesos/day, but at the time of this writing, it's only about $1/day difference. It was about 5 min ride to the Meztli Spanish school in the center of town, but you do have to cross the main Avenida, which can be busy with traffic. The tents ran about $60 USD/day and you have common restroom/shower you share with the other tents. 2stalls & showers for men and 2 for women. The suite I was in was $85 USD/day, not cheap by Mexico standards, but in the US you'd get a crappy room at a cheap hotel for that price! There us a solid wooden gate for security and each patron is given a key so if they need to enter past 11pm they can access the gate. You walk in and directly walk up to reception on a gravel walkway. There are several tents to the right and the shower/bathroom are just beyond that. Behind reception is a small building are two suites, a large one and a smaller one (where I stayed) which shares a porch. Just beside that and past the tents is a small two story building with three more suites. Beside that, a lovely little pool and to the right of the pool, the restaurant Flow, with a great outdoor seating area covered with trees and a covered part with 5 tables with a bench along the wall and swings on the other side of each table! Just past the restaurant is a large screened-in open air gazebo in which they have yoga lessons at 8:30 am and 7pm every day for 100 pesos a class. You must pay at the reception and receive a ticket which you give to the instructor. I did yoga there during a thunderstorm and it was so cool, it was almost cliche! The staff is super friendly and are happy to let you practice your español! I will definitely stay here next time I am in Tulum! Me encanta Harmony hotel!
