I complained and they dropped to $255 but still not upfront in my eyes. They said the $255 was the price had it not been after hours. intitially I asked how much to come out and take a look. Was told $145 since it was after hours which is fair. Then the bill was over $300 for 5 mins of work. No parts were replaced or anything just a flipped switch. most companies that simple of a thing would have been included in the $145 service charge. If they would have spent half an hour putting a new valve on or something the 1hour labor charge would have been justifiably. They are nice on the phone and nice when they show up but when it comes to the bill I hope people can learn from this.

This was a project we were hoping to hold off on until a few months later, but ended up needing to be done sooner. Because of this, we were unable to be there in person to meet with contractors. I ended up calling 7 roofing companies to go out to the property and get quotes. Jett Gillis went out the next day and was able to get me a quote very quickly. Every other company I called either told me that they were too busy to give us a quote, completely failed showed up to the appointment, quoted us much higher, or gave me a bit of an unpleasant attitude. I even had to explain to one highly-rated company what a soffit was not once, not twice, but three times! (A soffit is the underside of the roof.) Horner Roofing is the only company that checked every box. They were: - professional - communicative - friendly - reasonably priced. Because of our work, I have communicated and done business with countless companies in various realms of home improvement. Scott and his crew amazed me with how efficiently they excavated our previous waterfall and planned and created a magnificent focal point for our enjoyment. The new waterfall is gorgeous! Scott also laid beautiful boulder staircases and boulder walkways to complete the look. Boulder Man's finished product is top notch but the icing on the cake for me was how wonderfully organized, clean, and friendly the entire crew was towards us and our neighbors. Very respectful by not playing loud music, no vulgar language (that I heard!), and best of all, they cleaned up after themselves prior to leaving for the day (our project took only three working days!), including hosing dirt from our patio. At the completion of our project, the entire crew took their time with cleaning the yard, raking garden bark in place and leveling the ground where machinery was used. I was so surprised to discover that they had made a little bench out of river rock and slate near the base of the waterfall. Such attention to detail!
