The sheet itself is kept in good condition. I appreciate that there is a spectator area on both the ground floor and second floor for those who want to watch. The upstairs area also has a bar and kitchen (not always open). Prices at the bar are reasonable. There is also a dance floor for private events with a fairly good sound system.

The equipment and facility are well kept and clean (which is a major perk), and the staff are friendly, but one of the major problem is the price. It can get pretty expensive if you are planning on riding for awhile. Prices are set for blocks of laps and blocks of 5 laps only last about 10 minutes, which left me disappointed after my turn was up. Hot Hint: There are opportunities for group and party rates, just call ahead to reserve a time.

Spatz Theatre was managed by Sara who always did a great job. I had a show scheduled for March 2020 that was postponed due Covid restrictions. I was so excited finally to reschedule my show for March 21 2022, day when NS was going to lift some Covid Restrictions. Around 2 weeks ago i got an email from Cathy, who replaced Sara as manager, informing me that Spatz Theatre and school board decided to cancel my event, because " they are not ready to host full capacity event yet" even i told them all patrons going to wear masks at the show so that would help to avoid some risk. They also told me that even if they would reschedule my event all tickets should be refunded first because they want to change a box office provider. That really disappointed me because unnecessary refunds always are stressful for a promoter and ticket holders. 2 weeks before an actual event i had to look for another venue and change so many things: advertising, contract, setting a new box office for event , etc. Luckily Rebecca Cohn Auditorium was available for the same date and they had no issue to host a big event even they are located in educational facility as well. Just couple hours before refunds to ticket holders i found out that Spatz and Ticket Halifax want to hold CC fees and box office fees and do not refund it to ticket holders, even cancellation of event was completely not their fault. I literally had to fight with Cathy about it and made them refund my ticket holders in full amount. After posting announcement about changing venue on event page and refunds started to get processed i was receiving a lot of messages asking about directions to buy tickets on presale even it supposed to be sent in email with cancellation explanation that supposed to be sent before refunds would be made and then few more times after that, to be sure all patrons was noticed about changes. I asked Ticket Halifax representative Lindsay to fix that issue but they denied it and didn't do anything to help me and my show ticket holders. Just now i received a copy of email from Ticket Halifax from one of my ticket holders and I found that text of letter was not one that i approved. They changed it and removed an explanation why Spatz Theatre cancelled this event. Not only actions of Spatz Theatre and Ticket Halifax caused stress and financial loss for me and ticket holders but they also lied to me. I don't think that's behaviour appropriate for people who manage the theatre. It's not ok to treat your loyal customers like that! Extremely disappointed.

I made it in the other night for a limited run of RENT. While I won't make this review all about the show (which I LOVED by the way), it was a great space for that sort of a production and I'm thrilled that Spatz opened their doors to a new theatre troupe ready to make a splash. Seats are comfortable, acoustics seem fine (I know nothing about that stuff), and there's plenty of room both around you when seated, and in the auditorium in general (there's even a balcony). Downsides? Well, it's a little weird to enter through a high school especially when waiting for the doors to open in a cafeteria type space. It was all a little too Degrassi for my liking.

This review is for a particular staff member who was in need of some serious coaching for customer service. Now, before we went , the site says go at least 45 min before hand to line up and they start to sell tickets half an hour before the swim which was at 7:30 pm. The reason for this insanity of earliness was because of March Break. So we went there for 6:30. We went up to the desk to ask for the tickets and she said they would start selling them at 7:00. No problem, she told us to stand in the line, which is what we did. There was another lady there with her children who was there since 5:30 pm, she thought she could buy hers ahead of time. Policy is No! I understand why this policy is, so I do not have an issue with that. The issue was with the lady , who we believe was management. She proceeded to tell us to leave and come back, that we were interrupting the line of the people who were going in for the 6:30 swim. Please take note, there was no one in a line for the 6:30 swim, they simply walked right up to the counter and we are talking a span of 2 minutes. Now, being the person I am, I simply said , no. I was not going to walk around for 1/2 hour to come back and stand at the end of a line when I am standing at the beginning right now, where is the logic there, I will tell you, There Is None! The other lady, however was not quite so diplomatic, she and the manger started to exchange words. The Manger was telling us to leave and come back, the lady was very unhappy that we were being told to go and do something else and come back. Let's just say, after we all had words with Miss Congeniality, we stayed exactly where we were and within 15 minutes the line was down the hall. Hind-site, we would have left and been at the end of the line. I would hate to hear the conversation at that point. It is unfortunate that she was on duty that evening, as she did not win anyone over, just annoyed everyone. And we all thought she was poor with the customer service. Now, the swim, that was good. Lots of life guards. Great Fun!

An ice surface, cardio gym, weight room, 2 swimming pools, fitness classes and a new indoor running track are all housed int his building with a number of community rooms available for Bingo and meetings. My "Safe Prom" party was hosted at the Dartmouth Sportsplex and we were given basically full reign over the building overnight. The pools were open for swimming, and the lifeguards that were on duty were very nice, despite the fact that they had to stay awake overnight with a few hundred high school graduates. Hot Hint: If you are looking for a fitness pass that give you a great variety of workouts this is the place to go. A membership gives access to all the facilities, and a discounted rate on exercise classes.

Don't you notice how long-time Haligonians always tell you where something is by what used to be there? We weren't really prepared for the chaos. It was loud: there was music blaring over a sound system, kids screaming and really busy- not everyone's idea of a good time. There was a semi-organized line leading up to a counter which we got in but then realized that we had to fill out waivers for the kids. That wasn't too bad as one parent waited with the kids while the other filled out the waivers on the provided terminals. Really glad there were two of us. We learned afterwards that you can fill these out online before you even come- we HIGHLY RECOMMEND DOING THIS. Once you do the waivers you don't need out fill them out again, or so we were told. The line crawled to the front and the wait was made worse that someone (else) was polluting the air (if you know what I mean). Not the business' fault but it sure didn't make the long time waiting go quicker :(. Once we got to the counter, we then found out that even if you aren't going to go on the trampoline you need to fill out a waiver as well. By this time the line-up had grown and was almost out the door. We had some frustrating confusion when staff members gave us conflicting info which was made worse by our kids who were jumping at the bit to hit the trampolines; one staffer said we had to get back in line once we filled out the parent waivers, and another said we didn't. We ignored the former and just showed our waivers to the staff at the front desk. All that done we finally got onto the fun... The Good -There is lots to do and the place is HUGE; your kids probably won't even have a chance to think about saying "We're bored!". -There are different areas, and activities for different ages- no one is left out. -It feels safe. There are lots of staff on the floor keeping an eye on things. The Not So Good -It is expensive... you pay by the hour. For two kids (one was a junior jumper) and the socks they make you buy your first visit it was close to $40!! There isn't really anything else to compare it to in Halifax, but I know at that price it will be a once in a while kind of thing for us. We could almost have two visits at Hop, Skip Jump for the whole day for what we paid for one hour at Get Air. -They need a dedicated entrance and exit door- right now there is only one door and it gets congested with people trying to come in and out of the same, narrow place I'm sure we will go again but will try to aim for an off-peak time next visit. My daughter is already talking about wanting to have her birthday there. Hopefully we'll have a bit more streamlined pre-jump next time...

Each game pays $150 and there are 7 specials for 50% of the take. Bingo is usually quite busy here, but there is plenty of seats as well as plenty of free parking. They have a nice canteen that sells a nice variety of food such as, nachos, fries, hamburgers, onion rings, chips, pop, chocolate bars and much much more. It's all reasonably priced. Also, there is a canteen cart that comes around for the snackers who are busy dabbing Bingo. This Bingo is well organized. If you're a Bingo fan, you really should test your luck at the Forum.
