I can't give nature less then 5 stars!! I have to confess, being a citizen of Vancouver for over 30 yrs., this is the very first time coming to this beach!! And what a beach!! Yes, I have heard that traffic is crazy during peak seasons and on long weekends, but who can say no to this view, and further more, its very user friendly and family friendly!! Picnic table and bbq pits are abound and they are not all crammed together too, so if you plan ahead and come well prepared you will be able to get a great spot to have a good time with your folks! Oh and they have a great concession stand that has a good selection of beach friendly foods for you to choose from! So, what are you waiting for? Grab a beach towel, sun block and head down the beach!!

Great family day or date night get away for a picnic. Get In your 10,000 steps or just have a family meet and greet outside

I'm thankful that this beach is so close to my house. Especially after they revamped the playground and concession stand. This is one of my favourite spots to spend the day - you just can't beat the views! On one side you have the mountains, on the other side you have the city skyline, and right in front of you, nothing but blue ocean. It is truly beautiful. This is the perfect spot to visit on a hot summer's day with the family or a group of friends. The beach itself is fairly clean, with lots of room to lay out and set up shop for the day. They also have quite a few picnic tables off to side if you wanted to have a small summer potluck, bbq, or family picnic. If you didn't want to bring your own food, they do have a concession stand where you can buy snacks and goodies. There is also a large playground, that always seems to be busy when I've visited. Parking is free and there are plenty of spots, so even if it's really busy, you're still sure to find something. Also, plenty of bathrooms that are fairly clean for a beach/public washroom. I'm excited for the warm, summer days so that I can come back to Centennial. Side note: this is a beautiful spot to watch the sunrise, since it's on the east side of the city.

Great huge beach. If you want to avoid crowds, go there early like 8am. The downside is the water is shallow so you'd have to walk Farr away until it is deep enough for u. But clear water. Concession opens at 11am. Washrooms were renovated and big as well. Lots of stall.

Time for a mini vacation, a picnic on the beach, a perfect breeze and a walk along the boardwalk in the marsh. Time to pick blackberries right off the bush. Time to breath the salty air, and listen to the sound under your feet as you walk while enjoying the mountain views across the water. Yup, it's time to visit Boundary Bay and let go of your troubles, let them fly away and simply be in the moment. Another great day at Boundary Bay Park. Thank you BC for this almost secret treasure.

I got here quite early and got to enjoy the beach a bit before it was filled with people. It gets busy fast so get here early to secure yourself a nice spot! Since I was early I also got to see flocks of blue heron enjoying the water. It was such a beautiful sight! This is a great beach to spend the day. Parking is free and you can bring food and have yourself a nice picnic or bbq! Great for families too! The water is shallow and will be safe for the little ones!

I love this beach so much I plan on getting married by it! My first job was working at the old concession stand (When Pajo's was there). The new concession stand is a thing of beauty. I love their eco-friendliness and their living roof. The food selection is a surprise, not your run of the mill concession food by any means. Their new park equipment is amazing, I can't help but play on it too. I love that it is accessible to children of all abilities. Inclusive = awesome. If you're looking to have a dinner cookout at one of the fire pits, you need to stake your claim early! They spaces are limited and families literally set up camp around fire pits and picnic tables all day. Heed my warning. Please, just be considerate of the natural environment and clean up after yourselves. This park is amazing and I can't wait to share it with my future children!

The walking paths are a must. They give you a feel for what the area must have been like before the Eurooeans came.

A tiny community subsisting on "tourist" dollars from Canada (man, I sure hope they are doing alright, with the borders being closed due to COVID), Point Roberts was a bucket list item of mine, being one of the few enclaves in the US. Due to a geographic anomaly placing the peninsula below the 49th Parallel, it requires two border crossings (and a passport) to reach it by land. Canadians often come here for the cheap gasoline and liquor (truly the hallmarks of American culture!), and to park their yachts and boats cheaply. My wife and I spent an afternoon walking the beach, with the warm sun on our face, and a few Canadian families enjoying American FREEDOM nearby (yes, I am being cheeky). There are some covered patio spaces with tables for such activities, and although they are quickly claimed, you can pretty much setup a picnic anywhere: there are plenty of logs that will serve the same purpose. I can't say what it's like during the "busy" season, but during our visit in mid-August, the atmosphere was jovial, the people were pleasant, and there were no crowds whatsoever. Lighthouse Marine Park is the perfect, quiet seaside escape for those looking for a peaceful beach in which to relax on a warm day with family and friends.

It is not as cold unless it is a windy day. So definitely bring a jacket. The walking trail round the coast is not very long and it will probably take about an hour or less for a slow stroll. There are many birds - crows and gulls. There is a lighthouse which is not a pretty building. It looks very basic and is not a tower like building. This is also the whale migration route. But I have yet to see any whales or the seals or sea lions or porpoises. So sad. I have only seen ducks bobbing along near the shoreline. When the weather is nice, this is a good place to just sit on the many benches and chill, looking at the sea. For kids, there is a "fort" made of branches and twigs. I have seen many children having fun there, climbing up to the top or adding more branches to fortify it. I also saw a group of children with their teachers or some adults with garbage bags cleaning the shore area. Kudos. But generally the place is clean, I do not see much garbage left behind.

If you're not from Alberta, that analogy might not resonate with you. Crescent beach is like a locals only type of beach. There's a volleyball area, a Sandy cove for swimming, public restrooms, and a long walkway along the beach you can walk on. There are benches, logs and giant rocks for sitting and sun bathing or to just enjoy the sound of the water. I grabbed sushi from nearby sushi spot Hanaya Japanese restaurant and got their lunch special. Took my food "to-go" and headed on down to Crescent beach. There is free parking along residential streets but you can also park close to the public washrooms area next to the Crescent Beach swimming club (which is for members only). Although there are not many food or drink places on the beach, there is a little sail boat place where you can book a tour on a sailboat and head out onto the water. There is a dock for fishing too and the water is super clean. Lifeguards are also on patrol at this beach which is an amazing safety feature to have as well. I would definitely recommend this beach if you want something a little more low key, a little quieter, somewhere to meditate perhaps or have a nice lunch.
