This little park basically sums up everything you stereotypically think of when you think "Salt Spring Island". Smack in the middle of town, in the summer this park becomes a cross section of the Salt Spring community - business folks in suits power walking with cell phones strapped to their ears, families eating ice cream together, hipsters with hacky sacs and poi, tourists taking pictures of hack sacing hipsters. It's delightful.
They also run a bevvy of cute festivals in here and it's a great vantage point for any parades, runs, or general adorably weird walk through the town events that Salt Spring has to offer. If it's nice, grab some sushi or ice cream across the street and plunk here to people watch. read more
