Doug and Paco worked seamlessly together putting the new windows in and cleaned up each window and surrounding area, as they went about their day. Centennial installed a front door and storm door for me on Thursday, 11 April 2019. The work of the installers, Jeff and Nick was done in both a professional and timely manner. The sales person gives a good story, thats where it ends. The installation guy did such a poor job I sent pictures to office, the same guy came and redid interior calking! The guy was obviously dissheveled, tired, hung over, etc. That was torture. Then the winter came, there was cold draught around every window installed, so obviously they did horrible job installation. I tried calling, no follow up. What would this entail? I would only allow complete removal, of every window, and another company reinstall. It would end up in court, not worth it. So Im doing a repair of Cenntennials install, and using a smaller company. I have tried to get the word out, stay away from Cenntennial. Dont buy their window and doors. |The company I have now is excellant, and have explained Cenntennials mentality, of course they dont care and can get away with it. If I could give them less than one star , I would. Please do not fall for this company. The quality of there doors are awful - who cares about the warranty, if the quality is crap. They also include the cheapest lock - one which broke a year and a half after getting it. We only have 1 door with a lock on it to get out of the house, therefore we were left with a security issue because we had to leave our sliding door open so we do not get stuck out. They could not come to fix the lock for a week. Overall, not a good company - stay away. read more

We are very happy with our choice to use Centennial Windows and doors. We had all the windows in our home replace and our patio door. the salesmen was knowledgeable and their install team was great. they had to make 2 trips to complete the install (do to an unforeseen issue with our house) but they resolved the problem on their end and continued to the install. warranty work is only a phone call away and they are prompt with replying. we even got a discount because the patio door was less expensive than quoted! we are looking forward to working with them again in the future. highly recommend read more

I had a door and frame installed by kingston Centenial and the sales man was professional. But thats about it. The installers were unprofessional, they were very shady and sketchy. They did not clean up after themselves and left without completing the job. I completed some of their work so that didnt bother me too much. However they left two screws protruding from the frame. I contacted Kingston Centenial and the installers returned when I was not at the house and then told me on the phone that they had to replace the whole siding which would take a few weeks. When they were to install the siding they called again and stated that the siding was damaged so they had to order another one. Then they called again stating that the installers are sick and cant make it. This company will only give you the run around and they do not honour their warrantly. I would never recommend this company or higher them again. read more

Justin and Dan did a terrific job both professional and courteous in manner. They installed a very large window, two smaller windows and a patio door which had to be retrofitted from a larger window opening on two of the hottest days so far of this summer. Very impressive workmanship I've been in the construction business for 43 years and would recommend centennials installers ( at least these two ) and time will tell about the product. I've noticed a big difference in temperature already in the rooms where the new windows are for coolness, before it was sweltering when you would get three feet from the glass now its no difference from a wall read more

If there was a negative rating I would have selected it. I called Centennial and spoke with a pleasant person and arranged for a rep to visit my home 3 days later for a quote for residential windows. During the call, the person asked if my wife would be present during the meeting. I answered no because it was a difficult time for my wife to get time off work. The day before the scheduled meeting, another person called me to confirm the appointment which is standard procedure these days. Again, the person was pleasant but she asked if my wife would be present at the meeting. I again, said no she would not for the same reason I gave the first employee. The rep, Chris showed up on the scheduled day but most importantly to me, he showed up on time. Right away I noticed he brought nothing to the meeting except a tape measure. He had no notebook, no brochures but most importantly, no sample windows to show me how the windows are manufactured. He immediately asked if my wife was present. I said "look, you're the 3rd person from your company to ask that question. No, she will not be joining us". After approx 2 min of idle chit-chat, he measured one window from the inside of the house. He then proceeded outside, he walked around the house observing the windows and headed back inside my home. He then says to me "yeah, we need to get your wife here man to make some decisions. Give the showroom a call and re-schedule a time when we can all sit down together". I thought he was kidding. I told him my wife and I know what we want and I wasn't going to re-schedule and we should continue talking since I had made the arrangements for that day and time. He told me it was company policy that husband and wife both be at the meeting and he headed for the front door. I said to him "You're not seriously going to walk away from a potential $xxxxx sale are you". While walking away he responded "See you later". To which I replied "No, no you won't". He got the last word in.....he turned and sarcastically said "Have a nice day, BUDDY"! Or did he get the last word in? I will be replacing 14 windows in my home over this summer and next.....I hope his wife is good at math!!! read more

We purchased a garden door from Centennial and it's been a nightmare. I'm posting our story to help inform others as to how bad the service is at Centennial. My recommendation is to look elsewhere as you will discover as you read on. Initially we had a really good salesman come over and take us through the initial process. He was easy to work with and very thorough. When we signed the contract he told us that it would take four to six weeks for the door to be put together in the factory. That's a reasonable amount of time to me and we weren't concerned with that aspect of the order at all. After about three weeks we received a call that our door was ready and we set up a time for the following week to install it. It was during the installation that we noticed that the windows on the doors were different that the ones we originally ordered. Since our old door was already removed we just decided to have them complete the installation so that we would have a functioning door rather than a hole in the wall. We contacted our sales agent who came our to inspect the door. He also reviewed the contract we had signed and agreed that the windows were indeed the wrong ones. We left it with him to start the ball rolling on getting this issue resolved. A few days later we received a call from someone from head office. We were told that the reason the windows were different was because the ones we wanted were backordered. So they just put any window into the door and put that together for us. Keep in mind that the initial timeframe was four to six weeks and that this call is happing during week six. We were told that the window we ordered could simply be swapped out at our home and that it would only take a few minutes. It was at that moment that I realized that Centennial was trying to pull a fast one on us. There was no credible reason for them to have installed the wrong door. They did it for no reason and now they wanted to cover it up I surmised. I told the person on the phone that I didn't want anyone damaging our brand-new doors and that the solution being offered was unacceptable. Since we weren't willing to have our new doors messed with so soon after getting them installed, our issue was escalated to a manager. The manager also told us that the real reason why we got the wrong windows was that the code was misread on the window and it was put in by accident. This statement is contrary to what I was just told by the other person so now I feel I've been lied to by someone at Centennial. The manager tried to convince me over the phone that the process of swapping the windows was very simple and would not damage the doors at all. However, since I feel that I've been lied to and first person's story seemed more plausible, I now feel that I can't trust anything this manager is telling me. The manager tells us that they have the glass we ordered in the first place and that he could be over to to the glass in a few minutes. Keep in mind that this call is still happening within the four to six week period we were told it would take to put our door together in the first place. I keep coming back to the fact that if the windows were back-ordered why didn't they just wait until they came in? And if it was going to go over the six week mark then they should have called us to tell us it would take longer. We weren't in a hurry to get the door installed. However, eventually we agree to come into the factory the next day and witness the process of swapping out the glass to see how it's done. The next day we go over to the head office and meet with the manager I had spoken to over the phone. Instead of going to the factory floor to see the process of swapping out a window the two of us demanded that this problem be fixed with the installation of a new door. We said that we did not buy a door only to have someone come out and switch the glass in it within the first week. And since the first person had told us that they switched the glass out for no clear reason then Centennial created this whole issue in the first place. We instructed the manager that they were going to make a new door as we had ordered in the first place. We gave them a four to six week time period to get that door put together for us which was what they had said in the first place. Needless to say they agreed to our terms. Four weeks later Centennial returned with a new door for us. Before we let them touch anything we carefully inspected the door to make sure everything was right. However, during the installation the guys uncovered several flaws that the previous team had done. One of the things the previous team had done was install a very big drip edge along the outside top of the door. The large part of the drip edge was up against the house so that it covered the existing siding. When the second team installed the new door that piece had to come down. We found out that that piece was covering a large scar in the siding above the door probably c read more
