As a physician, I used to find it next to impossible to find good outpatient speech and swallowing…read moreevaluation and therapy. Sure the evaluation could possibly be done by ENT that often would report you simply the findings without functional recommendations, education and actual treatment. Then along came this "kid"from Indiana. Jackie Savage, the founder and CEO of this organization is a bright, energetic, young woman who knew what Pueblo needed: good outpatient therapy for those with neurologic disorders and Speech and hearing disorders. She could work anywhere but even more she could be a CEO of many organizations that I've seen. She impresses you and motivates you as well as teaching you and doing the evaluation. She's trained in and expertly performs laryngoscopy but she also uses it a teaching and learning tool for patients during the procedure. She has assembled an outstanding group of young therapist, fully trained, and full of motivation and energy that can't help but infect you. They will get you on the road to recovery. In addition she will also periodically have graduates from Speech degree programs doing their post graduate year. How would I know all this? After all, I have no ENT or neurological training. I am a Patient. I have Parkinson's disease and they have helped me maintain my gain by facilitating a.weekly group of Parkinson's patients pot therapy called " Loud Crowd". This is #1in Pueblo and in this region and near the top in the state! If you're lucky enough to get in, you'll be glad you did!

The center is at the corner of D Street and Victoria Avenue. It is clean, bright, and inviting. We entered through the Victoria Street entrance which you can see in my pictures. This entrance walks you through a picturesque garden and outdoor sitting area. I was informed that this space has been used for sessions on occasion. Once you enter, you are greeted with a smile from the woman working at the front desk giving a feeling of "this is where I need to be." You can see so much of what services the company offers by going to their website. But what you may not be able to tell from the website is how much the people care about their clients. Of course I wasn't given any client details, but they speak of their clients like family. They care about the people they are helping. If you find yourself, or someone you know, needing speech therapy in Pueblo, CO in the areas of speech, language, voice, swallowing, and cognition, this the center for you!

My sister and I came in during an off time for the tour but they still accommodated us with smiling faces. The workers/volunteers are chock full of knowledge and you know they really care about the birds. An hour went by super quickly! 10/10 would recommend!

We were happy to give them donations to help care of these very lucky birds, whom they find around the area hurt, injured or abused by people. They have all sorts of raptors, from small owls (my personal fluffy favorite) to eagles, falcons, vultures and much more. We had a great day with two volunteers (husband and wife) who care for these animals greatly. You could tell they were so proud to show us their 'babies' and we shot photographs to our heart's content. The nature center is down the road from the raptor center and is a beautiful oasis on the river. Very nice gardens in the front, a nice deck area on the back. Really nice surroundings for bird watching. I am a fan! PS: These are the same folks who come to the Cheyenne Canon Hummingbird Festival in May...

You get what you paid for? I paid $799 to be her model for the day and asked her which hair strokes…read morewill she be tattooing on me. She sent me a photo to show me and I agreed so I paid a non refundable $200 deposit towards my total to secure my spot. She was nice and sent lots of cute emojis. I thought she had a kind heart and while following her IG, I was in love with her skill. On my appointment day, she carefully mapped out the shape of my brows and I agreed. We never once talked about changing the hair strokes. After she was done tattooing my brows, she asked me what do I think? I wasn't happy, something looked off so I asked her if she could make it bigger. She said no and her students said it would make me look manly. I felt pressure to accept it, pay and walk away. Mosha was withholding information from me too. She said touch up was 1-2 years, $300. During my healing process, I did more research and kept comparing my hair strokes to the photo she sent me; they weren't the same. One month after the tattoo, I asked her if my brows will darken and sent a photo of my brows then she explained because my skin is oily, I will need a touch up soon for $300. At this point, I felt scammed and asked her if she could then at least give me the hair strokes like the one in the photo she sent me. She said yes during the touch up. I did more research and asked other PMU artists for their expertise about adding more hair strokes to achieve what looked similar to the photo Mosha sent me, an artist said because of the flow of the hairs, it will cross and the look I am trying to achieve cannot be replicated, it will have to be adjusted. I asked Mosha if that was true and if she could draw the strokes before tattooing it, why did she change the hair strokes without letting me know and what is her policy for unsatisfied customers. She responded with suggesting a refund and maybe she's NOT the right artist for me. She also admitted to changing the hair strokes stating that informing me was not necessary (noted in the declined demand letter) to notify me of any sudden changes to the style of brows because I was chosen as a model. I asked her to remove the hair strokes and give me what I paid for but she doesn't do tattoo removal and is still not complying with compensating to remove it. Instead, she suggested using the refund towards the tattoo removal. Where is the justification in that? She will take your money, make a mistake and have you pay for it. I hope this review will make her rethink about her care and honesty for her clients because I feel like chopped liver here. Two stars because I didn't get an infection, that would've been a big lawsuit. This is only based on my experience and I'm happy for everyone else who got great results from her, she is very talented.

Which, for their big exhibit on a mining disaster with a life-size, almost hologramish girl, walking me through it. It was a chapter of us history I did not know, and they told it it incredible (and at times horrifying) detail. But you left understand the fear of the miners and their families and their desire to unionize. Pandemic: Clear and redundant covid signage heading in. Full contact tracing, PPE, etc, and even though I had it to myself, exhibits and museum capacity were limited to small #s of people in signage as you enter each area. Very impressive. In a way, how Pueblo handles covid, is its own history. As for all our cities. This is the first museum I've entered since the pandemic began. It was a sight for sore eyes, and an a feast for my hungry brain. Very well organized, and really kind staff. And I am amazed at the history I have glimpsed, in this now... small peaceful town. Thank you for sharing.

It SHOULD be a repository of artifacts about the varied history, cultures and ethnicities that have built the City of Pueblo from the 1840s to present. What it IS is something different. There are three sections. One gives a very brief history of the establishment of the original trading post/fort/community established in 1842 and its demise. The rest of the section focuses almost exclusively on the Hispanic people of the area as well as the indigenes. Display placards, all of which are in Spanish first, then English through the museum, consistent label American settlers as 'colonizers' and 'anglos' throughout. The second section, is dedicated completely to the steel industry labor movement in Pueblo. The third is about a small, fringe section of the city, featured because of the strong presence of citizens with Hispanic heritage. There's a lot of wasted space in the attractive building. Years ago, it used to have many more artifacts and gave a somewhat more balanced presentation of the rich history of Pueblo. Most all artifacts that do not support the present narratives are removed.
