We had so much fun this weekend when we took the kids. My kids and myself have never been to a drive in movie, and my husband had but wanted to go to one for nostalgic reasons. So after some research we found this drive in and are so happy we did. There are two screens showing two separate movies. Your ticket will actually get you tickets to two movies. We stayed for only one since it was already almost 11 after the first one was done. There are restrooms a plenty, and a snack shack that has quite the selection. If you don't mind people smoking cigarettes and Marijuana constantly then this drive-in is for you. Also a staff member enforced that my running lights were off but didn't enforce people constantly turning headlights on and off during the movie. I'm all for nostalgia but there is no updating at all that I could tell. The concessions stand looked at felt worn down and the flies in there were out of control. The staff in the stand were good though.The ticket pricing is good, but you are getting what you paid for here. I wasn't expecting a tier one, first class experience here but I was hoping for kind of stepping back to my childhood experiences going to my drive in with my brothers and parents. I'm just being honest, the whole place just felt thrown together. At one point during the movie besides all the smoke from the cigarettes and pot, me and my starting smelling an odor of a sewer. Maybe it's just me, but I wouldn't recommend going to this drive in especially with your kids. But if none of this bothers you, then I guess it is for you. read more

We really enjoyed this theater. We went for scary Halloween movies and had a great time. The picture quality was good and the sound was great. Staff was nice and getting in and out was easy. My only complaint is one I hope management sees: the chili on the chili cheese fries is not chili. I'm not sure who made it but I don't think they've seen chili before. Pleaseeeeee fix the chili situation. It was so disappointing to get excited for chili cheese fries and then receive fries with salsa (kinda?) on top. Fun experience! Cash to get in and you can bring all your own food and drink. Tons of parking and all great spots. I would recommend bring a radio if you plan to sit outside your car. The car next to us had their speakers blasting and for some reason my car radio was about 3 seconds behind theirs which was extremely frustrating so we had to turn ours off and try to listen from the neighboring car. I downloaded a radio app prior to arrival but that didn't work so next time we'll bring an actual radio. The concessions line was outrageous so I would recommend standing in line prior to the movie and not waiting do to it when the previews start which seemed to be what everyone did. Please pick up after yourself!! Not 2 minutes into our fun evening I stepped in a giant green gummy booger that had been on the ground in the heat all day so it was nice and difficult to get off my shoe. There was a TON of candy spilled all over our parking spot. Just be a good human. read more

4 1/2 stars. This is a really nice drive-in theater that offers new movies. A paid admission gets you a double feature. The concession stand also offers a good variety of food items and it's not overly priced. I would recommend bringing in your own food though. Downgraded 1/2 star because they only accept cash (at the entrance and at concession stand) and there is no ATM on site. Also downgraded because they don't let you jump screens between movies, so you're stuck watching whatever double feature they offer. read more

This was my first drive-in experience, and at 40 years old too! I really enjoyed our time there and hope to head back later this summer if there's a blockbuster that I'm dying to see. $9.50 for adults for 2 movies! Plus each adult can bring up to 4 kids for FREE! Didn't have any of the food from the snack bar but it sounded great and it was very fairly priced. Bring your camping chairs, snacks and beverages and settle in for one or two top shelf films. There were a few things that could be better but it still was a five star experience. Here's a few drawbacks... CASH ONLY. Not really a big deal, but raise the price to $10 a person so the staff doesn't have to make change. The business apparently doesn't trust their employees though because each staff member has to go to an office in the middle to make change for each car. If you're along the west side of the parking lot you'll hear vehicles from time to time tearing up the street just outside the fence line. read more

On our third try we finally got in to the Drive In. Went to see the new Minions Movie the place was packed, as we expected. We arrived about 7:30 to watch a movie that wouldn't start till 9pm. We had bought tickets on line prior to leaving, still waited in line at the box office about 40 minutes. We didn't mind until Barny the Drive in Cop gave us a lecture about getting there early. Once we were in, the only spaces available were on the pavement behind the concession stand. The line to get Pop Corn was 45 minutes and they were out of Ice Cream. We typically enjoy going to the Drive In as one of our summer time activities but we probably won't try to go again this year. read more

Very poor customer service. They failed to communicate that they don't give refunds for weather. I called to get information and they were very mean about the fact that they don't reimburse for weather and that they are rain or shine. The owner said it is come at your own risk and that you need to plan accordingly. It was raining so much that the middle of the rows was flooded and it was virtually impossible to walk to the bathroom. I understand a policy is a policy but the fact that the owner was so rude about it made the whole situation worse. read more

Great old time drive in except the projection onto the screen is unbelievable bright and clear. Almost like watching a digital tv! You pick up the sound on an FM channel and use the speakers in your car which makes the sound great as well. For a low price you get two movies which are always new. The snack bar is good as well. You can phone in your order then just walk up, pay, and get your food without a long line or wait. The prices are very reasonable and the food is pretty good too. All in all it's a fun evening out and brings back childhood memories. I wish they were open longer into the season when it gets dark earlier. Blankets or just staying in the car with the heat on would be fine! Great little gym for a double feature! read more

Well in my opinion, this drive in needs to make a few improvements, because I left feeling disappointed in aspects that could be easily resolved. First, why do gates open almost TWO HOURS before it gets dark? It leaves everyone sitting there doing nothing just waiting/wasting time. Two, they do not advertise ANYWHERE (website or at the "theater") that they do not accept anything but cash (admission and concessions). That would be VERY helpful information to know... There are multiple lines but everyone just goes to the one right in front of the entrance and it backs traffic way up into the nearby main road. They should have someone directing people into lines or at least a sign saying there are 4 lines and you can go into any of them. The staff at the front kept repeating info back to me multiple times that was wrong. I said what movie and what screen I wanted, and they said the wrong one back to me twice. Gave me tickets for the wrong one. Told me to tune into the wrong station. Very frustrating. OH and their website, sign, and person at admission all said the station was 99.3 FM, but the menu they gave us for concessions said 99.5 FM (which ended up being the right station). The communication and misinformation here is awful and should seriously get fixed ASAP. My frustrations may keep me from returning. read more

I just moved here and was SO happy to see there's a drive-in nearby! I've been to many in the past but with 3 screens and 6 movies, this one is the biggest. We showed up later than I wanted to but still got a good spot in about the 4th row but still had a perfect, unobstructed view. I know overall this is a struggling business so we decided to get food there instead of beforehand. I got the chicken basket, BF got a burger, and we shared popcorn and a drink and it was all pretty good and cheaper than a movie theatre would be. Keep in mind, this drive-in ONLY accepts cash. This is clearly stated on their website. However, I still forgot till I was almost there lol but no biggy, because there's a gas station with an ATM right next door. Mitigated situations: 1) some jerk turned his headlights on during the movie, blinding everyone for a few mins but an employee immediately headed over and resolved the situation. They have roving personnel seemingly always ready which is awesome. 2) my car died after only one movie! Never had it happen before and didn't have jumper cables, however, an employee quickly got us a set and we got jump-started with the help of the people next to us and then passed on the favor to another car behind us lol. Overall, this is an excellent drive-in and I plan to visit regularly. read more

First experience @ a drive in. Kids under 12 are free. Way better than cinemark where Mark Cuban thinks I need to buy a ticket for any kid over a year old. Bring in all the snacks you want. Less worried about my kid getting sick or being annoying. read more

Good prices. Not too far out of the way. Three screens gives you more options than other drive-ins. However, the crew has no interest in a quality viewing experience. There are three screens at this drive-in. Which is great, if the picture quality would be the same on all three. Our movie, Solo, was being showed on screen 2. Screen 2 just so happens to face the picnic area of the concession stand, which is lit up with flood lights. This causes light pollution, which causes a blurry and dark picture. I noticed the issue, went to the concession stand and asked if something could be done about the picture quality. Nothing was done. Later, my wife was walking past and asked specifically if the lights could be shut off. The request was ignored. It kind of irked me that the crew either didn't care or are not trained to adjust for a quality picture. The second movie was better, Infinity War, still blurier than the other screens but at least i could make out the faces. However, as all fans of marvel movies will tell you, there is always a post-credit teaser. Unfortunately, the crew didn't feel that the audience needed to see said teaser and cut off the movie mid-credits. What happens now? What's the focus of the next movie? Of course I'll get on youtube and watch it for free, but come on! We sit through the credits for what feels like forever and wait for the last 30 seconds of magic because we're true fans of the MCU and we want to soak up every drop we can get. When the projectionist cut the credits short and denied us that last slice happiness I couldn't help but look over my shoulder in disbelief. Why would they do that? Where's the fire? Again, either they didn't know or didn't care. Either way, it put a smelly fart on the end of a turd night out. read more

My family loves going to the drive in. Have been going out there for the past 14 years. The employees are very nice. The snack bar is awesome. Very reasonable prices. Food is cooked when ordered. It isn't made in advance and cold. Very accessible for handicapped. The movie selection is good. Always playing what's new out there. Allows kids to go in free under 12. Just can't say enough about the employees being friendly and helpful. They also have security walking around making sure all is well read more

This is THE BEST drive-in in Colorado! There are 3 screens that play first run movies! They provide double features for the low price of $8.50 each! Thats a great deal! Kids under 12 are free. Bring the whole family. They serve all your typical movie theatre snacks and MORE. They have burgers, fries, hot dogs, corn dogs, onion rings, nachos, burritos... They broadcast the movies over FM transmitters straight to your car's speakers! Friendly staff. A true American tradition! Showtime is at dusk. I'm updating my review just to ensure people that this is still a great experience. The Mesa Drive-In just upgraded all 3 screen projectors to digital format. It delivers high quality picture that isn't so dark anymore like the 35mm film projectors of the past. Our movie was meant to be dark and it was still very crisp and clear just like the traditional movie theatre screens. We took our 2 little ones because they hadn't been before. It was only $17 for our entire car because kids 12 and under are still free! Thats an amazing price for a double feature! The facilities are surprisingly clean and well lit for a drive-in! The food is cooked to order and delicious! Very friendly and helpful staff. All around fun place to be! Get there early because this place sells out fast in the summer! Full time security guards patrol the property, so that was nice to see. We love this place and will keep coming back! read more

I've always wanted to fill the back of my car with blankets and snacks and watch a movie on a big screen with my closest friends. However, they told us at the beginning that the price is $10 a person for two movies, but it costs to switch screens. This wasn't advertised online, but we understood. When we finished the first movie we asked the worker how much it costs to switch screens, he told us $10 a person. I then watched as most of the people from all of the screens packed up and left the outside theatre. So let me get this straight. It's $10 a person to begin with, and $10 a person to switch screens and watch a different second movie?? Umm that sounds a little unreasonable to me. It would make sense if either they charged per size of car initially OR made it $5 to switch screens. But $10 a person? Holy crap that's expensive. I then understood why everyone was leaving. They should advertise that more and would make more money by making it cheaper to switch screens. read more

We drove 4 hours to get there and was worth the trip,did it again a couple weeks later,if that tells you something. We go to a lot of different drive ins this ones on the top of my list. Used to by favorite place to go as a child but now it's not the same and is going downhill. I asked for curly fries and received fries that looked like they came from the bottom of the bag. Not curly whatsoever. I had tried to order more food as the amount wasn't satisfying enough so I decided to call in. I sat on hold for 5 min just for them to hang up on me. So Then I went back inside for a pretzel and it was hard as a rock. Definitely not worth the price I paid for everything even with there being 2 movies. read more

Very deliberately told the worker both movies I planned on watching when we pulled up and paid. She directed me to the correct screen. Watched the first movie without a hitch. About 5 minutes into the second movie, I realized that it wasn't the movie I planned to see. So we just moved to the correct screen for the movie I TOLD THE WORKER I wanted to watch in the first place. About 15 minutes into the movie, the woman I originally bought my ticket from came up to the car and told me I either had to leave or pay full price again. I explained that I had originally told them I planned on watching the movie, Deadpool 2, when I first arrived. She responded with something along the lines of, "I know. I was the one that sold you your ticket. But you have to pay for watching the second movie on a separate screen than the first one one you were parked at." Angry at this point, my family and I pack up our things without arguing and I ask if there is a manager somewhere that I can talk to. She refused to give me her name and pointed me in the direction of her manager. So I again explain the situation to the manager on duty, that I very deliberately told the staff member which two movies I planned on watching when I bought my ticket, and was not told at the time that I needed to buy a second ticket for a separate screen when the first movie ended. He basically told me that the staff must not have heard me say the name of the second movie, despite me saying the names of both movies VERY CLEARLY, and told me there was nothing he could do about it. I'm upset because I handled the situation very maturely, I did not cause a scene like I have seen countless others do, and I was brushed off like I wasn't a paying customer. I mean, I could have gone to Tinseltown and paid $9.25 for one movie. Instead, I went to the drive-in and paid $9.50 thinking I was gonna be watching 2 movies, and was basically kicked out after the first. For $17 for two people to see two new movies! First time here and had a great experience. Not too crowded and the food was suprizingly amazing! I would def recommend this to people to do. I thought seeing two movies in a row would be too much but they give you time to walk around and use the restroom in between the films. Haven't been in yet. I'm writing this review from my car outside the gate and my first impression is that they need to seriously update their web site as it states the gate opens at 6:30pm. It doesn't open until 7:30pm. Having kiddos sitting in a car waiting around with nothing to do in an idle position for 45 minutes while we wait to go in is no fun! Was super excited to find a drive-in. Came from Colorado Springs to visit which takes a little over an hour to get here and was not too impressed by this place. Although 2 movies for the price of one admission is great, I wasn't too thrilled about them only taking cash.There are also no ATM's so I was told at the snack shop I would have to walk to the nearest convenience store. As I was walking out, I was stopped and was asked why I was leaving, I explained that I needed cash for the snack shop and there were no ATM's available. I was then told to go and come right back and was also not allowed to bring any food in with me. Ummmm, ok. We finally got cash, went back and bought a hamburger, cheeseburger, 2 hotdogs, fries, nachos (wouldn't recommend), popcorn and large soda. All for about $40. Pretty pricey if you ask me. I sent my son back after the first movie with $2 to ask for a refill and he came back saying they wouldn't let him pay for a refill, we had to pay for another drink if we wanted one....Like, really?! It cost $10 per person to get in, children under 12 are free which is good. We had our 15 yr old, myself, my husband, and 3 year old. $30 to get in and about $40 on food do we spent $70 here . Also whatever it cost in gas and time it took to get here. If we ever do decide to come back, I would definitely bring my OWN food and drinks.
