We popped in on a Saturday afternoon to view the Linda McCartney exhibit (of course). Parking was free across the street, and it was easy to find the building. The exhibit was free as well, and I loved that they had a free locker for my bag. Three frees just to start! The exhibit itself was beyond my expectations. They curated a wide variety of images that offered a little something for eveyone -- McCartney family photos, famous people, and other subjects all seen through Linda's eye. I heard a docent say this barely scratches the surface of what they have in the archives from her, so I hope this is the first of many exhibits of her work!

Beautiful display of photos from Linda McCartney. Lots of personal family photos, band memories and more definitely a must see!

Visited CCP to take in the W Eugene Smith exhibition. Nice gallery and the Smith show was well curated.

Right now they are featuring W. Eugene Smith's pictures til March 2, 2024. He was a champion for those that had no voice and make known the pains of war, midwife hardships, the Minamata atrocities and so on. Thank you W.E. Smith for capturing what we needed to know.

This was my first time, I was Invited by a friend who is inspired by art and photography! Linda McCartney Retrospective, exhibit of her talent in photography and her history. That was incredible! I also learned a lot about the building and the exhibits to come I'll look forward to in September with world war 2. This place provides so much education and it's free! Parking on the weekends across the street behind seven eleven is free! If you bring bags or purses, they will provide you a locker at no charge. I spent 1 1/2 hours going through the cool building reading all about Linda McCartney, her life and looking at all the people she knew! What an inspiration! I think the little girl stuck in me just loved all her child pictures being children! Her husband always playing with the kids! She was full of life!

PRO TIP: Although it says it's open, In reality only one small exhibit is open which is primarily a virtual slide show presentation with only a few photos. Not worth going to, or the cost of parking. Wait for the actual full exhibit space to open.

The Center For Creative Photography is a hidden gem. It is located in the University of Arizona campus, across the street from the U of A Museum of Art. It is relatively small in size, but if you are into photography we highly recommend! @gorgeous.george2020

I can't believe I'm the first to review my college stomping grounds and former place of college employment. CCP, you hold a soft place in my heart. You gave me my professional start in my career in the arts, and you have North America's most kick @ss collection of photos. SERIOUSLY every one. If you go to U of A, you might think this is just a funky place for a class- but truly- there is something special here. Contemporary and Creative Photography would not exist with out help from this place. I try to visit whenever I'm in Tucson, but now they also have part of their collection at PAM ( Phoenix Art Museum) just a mile from where I work in Phoenix.

I went through the whole process of taking a tour and setting up times to take my placement tests, which i scored very well on. I then proceed to do all the other requirements to get an interview with the teacher to hopefully get accepted into the program. Then, randomly at almost 5pm one day I got a TEXT message, not a phone call, from a random number with a very unprofessionally worded message telling me I did not get selected for an interview and told me to call the school to find out my next steps. So, I called the school and the front dest girl was going to transfer me to Brian, who was my counselor, but he had already left for the day and asked if he could call me back, I proceeded to never have any more communication with the school, I never found out why I did not get selected to move forward or what my other options were. I will not consider this school for any of my future education. They also are insanely overpriced and most of the people you will talk to don't know what they're talking about and give you no encouragement. If I could give zero stars I would, but the front desk girls are very sweet and they can have this star.

I endured this, however. I completed my studies at Carrington and went on to deal with a very difficult externship. I was so excited to graduate and walk across the stage. When that day came, I found myself in the hospital after a horrible accident. I reached out to the staff at Carrington and asked them if I could please be given the opportunity to participate in a later graduation ceremony, so I could still walk across the stage and celebrate all the hard work I had put in and endured. I was told that I would hear from Kathy Bailey about participating in the next graduation ceremony. I never heard from her. It has been 10 months. Ive already accepted the fact that I will not be getting a graduation. The robes that I purchased with my own hard earned money are collecting dust and will never be worn. This is my own experience at carrington. I strongly encourage any student seeking to further their education to look elsewhere. Don't waste your time and your energy.

As a former student, I want to share my honest review at this school before you enroll. THANK ME…read moreLATER! The tuition has increased significantly this year, reaching around $100,000 to $120,000 or more, which is much higher than at other private schools. The rules frequently change each semester, so what you're told when you join can quickly become outdated every semester, leading to serious financial debt if you don't pass. The environment is toxic, with unprofessional behavior from both faculty and students. Many students experience bullying, and I have witnessed instructors gossiping about other students without any repercussions. If you have a problem, don't expect support from the dean; they often prefer to remove you rather than address the issue. In the labs, we repeatedly used the same needles and had to recap them. When I didn't pass a check-off on the first try, a professor reacted poorly and embarrassed me in front of my classmates, her reason "we only have a few needles to use." Mistakes are part of learning, yet we were not allowed to make them. I would rate the quality of teaching a 2 out of 10, except for the PEDS class, which was excellent thanks to Professor Premo. However, be prepared to read the entire textbook, which is challenging due to the fast-paced program. When you ask for help, they may suggest, use AI instead of helping you, which is quite ridiculous. Lots of topics in the lectures are skipped with some Instructor saying "oh, No need to learn this it's not gonna come out on the exam anyway" but wait until you take the NCLEX which focus on information you don't know! Some students were given unfair advantages, such as private rooms for exams without cameras and extra time. Additionally, regarding the exams, you won't know which questions you answered incorrectly, making grades feel arbitrary and manipulable (you don't know exactly what questions you missed) don't forget this is all about business. This can result in you having to retake expensive classes or not passing at all. While I can't speak for the Phoenix branch, the Tucson branch has poor management and an overall unsatisfactory atmosphere. Overall, this branch appears to operate more as a business focused on profit rather than on supporting student success. It can feel like a trap once you're in. The school's condition is disappointing, especially considering the high tuition, and interactions with the Senior Dean were particularly rude and unprofessional toward both students and faculty. Good luck if you decide to attend!
