I have been on hold for 38 minutes. According to the music and automated message I've listened to so much it is making my ears bleed, they are implementing "a new medical records billing system so I may encounter longer than usual wait times". Seems to me that 38+ minutes is extreme. Do yourself a favor and find a Direct Orthopedic Care. Sam day appointment and everything is handled in office. SO much better!!! read more

Very clean facility. I filled out a lot of paperwork before actually going back to get my MRI done. I have never had an MRI before and no one warned me ahead of time how loud and terrifying it can be. I am not talking about being in a super tiny place, I mean the horrifying noises that come from the machine. Holy Crap! Kept my eyes closed the entire time with my ear plugs in and imagined myself in star wars shooting down the death star. All the noises kinda reminded me of Star Wars so it worked out. The staff was friendly and helpful. The staff member that put my IV was a Desoto Fire Fighter and he did a great job. read more

I had a appointment here for a MRI on 1/22/21 at 1:10 to checkin. I filled out my paperwork online. At exactly 1:30 Rodney called my name to take me back. He saw that I was hurting and spoke to me with care/concern as well as stated he will try to make this as comfortable for me as possible. After changing into a gown, he assisted me to table where I would have the MRI. He asked where the pain was and gave me a pillow under my knees to ease it bc the test will take about 15 min. Explained everything to me and asked if I had any questions. All to say THANK YOU CDI /RODNEY for making this appointment pleasant and showing care and kindness to a me in my moment of pain. If asked last year I would have said no place compares to Baylor for imaging service. I have been a happy Baylor client for years. My sister would never go elsewhere. I was extremely disappointed when I called to schedule my annual appointment at Baylor imaging Cedar Hill to find the number referred to Baylor central for scheduling....doors permanently closed Baylor Cedar Hill. My PCP informed me of DeSoto. I called and numerous openings were available-- mornings, late day and even weekends, to my happy surprise! Front reception was helpful in all aspects. greeted upon arrival. Efficient service. The only disappointment was Brooklyn. No guessing---her day wasn't going well. This was evident. Hence the reason for 4 stars. Next client, Brooklyn, please be more attentive. If asked a question pretend to care when responding. read more

I have been coming here for years... My first encounter was when I went for my annually physical. My primary doctor was able to find a lump in my breast that cause for concern... I was then referred to Advance Imaging for a Mammogram. My insurance was able to cover this even though Is was not 40 yet because it was requested by my doctor. The staff was very professional friendly. They also offer great time slots with early appointments and late evenings and weekend appointments. The main thing I was very pleased with was they get you in and out pretty fast. You don't have to expect to be there all day! read more

Poor communication after the center was purchased by another group. The previous managers were friendly and truthful. I have had five procedures when the previous group was in charge. My spouse had to have some tests and since I had a good experience with the pervious owners, we decided to use the old group again. This was a mistake. When the tests were complete, I asked for the image on a DVD so I could show it to the doctor. I was told that this was not possible to get it real time. The reports were never sent to the PCP or the other doctor. Trying to communicate with the new group required several phone calls each call taking thirty minutes on hold and then having them putting me on hold again with a message saying they were still busy. Evidently customer service is not as importance as it previously was. read more

I have called 3 times to ask to have my report sent to my doctor, each time after a long hold i get put into voicemail, I leave my info and my doctors info and no one sends it. I have left a message this time that they call me back and let me know when it is sent. they received my payment and my insurance money but they won't complete the transaction. i did have a great experience when I was there but I'm very frustrated i trying to get my doctor my report. I hate to give a bad review because the actual visit was really good. read more

I went in early October for CT scan at DeSoto location. Earlier this week, 10 days after the scan, I had appointment with my GI to review the result. I was informed that everything is ok other than some lesion in the liver which, I was told, was to follow up with MRI. I started reading the CT report given to me on the way to check out and was shocked to learn that the report indicated I HAD "hysterectomy " while my GALLBLADDER was "unremarkable". The fact of the matter is that I never had hysterectomy and I DID have cholecystectomy. So, my uterus is intact but not my gallbladder! Either the person who read the scan image is incompetent or tthe report belongs to someone else. How do you take this? How can you trust any body of anything now? Dr's office told me to contact the center as they couldn't do anything. I contacted the center about my concern. I called again the following day, and was told the radiologist added addendum to my report ,stating that I do have uterus and no gallbladder. I was not happy how they handle this. Asked to talk to radiologist and manager of this location. The chief radiologist did call me back and said that his fellow radiologist was the one read the image , and the mistake was typographical error, an "honest mistake". No, this is a serious mistake, someone's life could be on the line! I requested the chief radiologist to re-examine my scan image and issue a report- a correct one. He consented and also said he'd talk to my GI doctor about this. I'd like to know if the center has protocol to insure the correct patient information and accurate interpretation on their scan image. This is a form of malpractice. The center needs to be aware by now that it might happen to anybody else or had it happened to someone already? Be aware, prospective clients, be alert if you choose to have any procedure done at this center! read more

Warning about Center for Diagnostic Imaging - Desoto, TX On September 10, 2019 at 11:45 am, Beverly my wife had an appointment at the Center for Diagnostic Imaging (CDI), Hampton Road, Desoto, TX to have a fine needle aspiration on nodules found on her thyroid. This was the third time she has had this procedure, so it was not new. We had used and overall liked Advanced Imaging for years before they became CDI. Dr. John H. Gray was the attending physician. As soon as, the doctor started to deaden the area she knew something was wrong. She could taste the Lidocaine as he was injecting it. Immediately, she started burning up inside her body and knew something was wrong. She told the doctor there was something terribly wrong. He did one biopsy with the needle and quickly left the room. He never commented on her condition. Never saw him again! No one at CDI wanted to believe she was in critical condition! The nurse kept telling her she was having a panic attack! She could hardly talk, was feeling terrible with a horrible stomach pain, sweating, hot, quickly developed diarrhea and could hardly move!! The pain was horrible. She tried to tell the nurse she was dying! She had to ask at least twice for them to get me (husband). No one took vital signs during this time. The attendant finally came for me and I immediately went with her. She told me Beverly was having a panic attack, but she would be OK. She had now been in there for over 30 minutes. Beverly told me she was dying when I got in the room, was in terrible pain, sweating and could hardly speak. I told them this was more than a panic attack and to get the doctor, but the nurse did not. I asked her, "How did they know it was not a heart attack or something else?". The nurse replied that her blood pressure was good so it could not be a heart attack, just a panic attack. That blood pressure was taken before the procedure, not after the injection and the reaction started. I asked again for them to get a doctor, but they did not. I asked them to call the ambulance since there was more wrong than a panic attack!! Someone finally called the ambulance. She would have died from neglect if we had listened to them. The Desoto Fire and Rescue ambulance got there quickly. They could see she was in a stressed condition, quickly getting her to the ambulance and checked her blood pressure which was like 54 over 32!!!! Which means internal organs were really stressed and starting to fail. NOT A PANIC ATTACK!!!! They went "code" to the hospital ER with sirens and lights going. Fortunately, the hospital (Charlton Methodist) was close. The ambulance attendant quickly gave her something to help to increase her blood pressure. The ER the team went to work to get her blood pressure back up. Beverly was in extreme pain. She was sweating and cold. Color left her body. When I touched her, she was cold like a corpse! All I could do was pray and talk with her when I could. She was shaking terribly and saying she was cold and hurting. We kept placing blankets on her trying to get her warm. We even had to put one to cover her head and face. They finally had three medicated drips going for several hours to start increasing her BP. They were taking many blood and other samples. All her problems were known possible problems with a reaction to Lidocaine, but the CDI employees neglected these warning signs. She spent the night in the hospital to stabilize and monitor everything while the Lidocaine left her body. When we left the hospital on Wednesday night, the hospital doctor told her to monitor her blood pressure. She got a good night's sleep and felt pretty good Thursday. FRIDAY, SEPTERMBER 13; Beverly awoke about 7:30 am after a good night's sleep with chest pain and a rapidly beating heart so we called 911 for the Lancaster ambulance. When they arrived, they found her heart rate was very high and irregular. Blood pressure was also high, but the concern was the heart rate. Back to the ER! The ER doctor gave her medicine several times and finally got her heart rate (which got over 200) back to a more normal range. They were doing heart monitoring, blood pressure checks (which were remaining high), more blood tests, x-ray, ultrasound and cat scan. They finally put her in a room so they could watch her. She started feeling better Saturday night. The heart doctor saw her briefly on Friday afternoon and again Saturday morning. He explained that she had an atrial fibrillation problem with her heart which was probably caused from the issues at CDI. We are very concerned about other possible health issues that may develop from her treatment at CDI. Our whole life has changed. We feel her life has now changed significantly because of the neglect/malpractice at CDI. We are afraid of what her health will be in the future and burdens that it will place on us financially, mentally and emotionally, besides the physical issues. read more

I went to get a mammogram on Thursday March 29 2018 and the tech or whoever she was, was very very rude. She was calloused and rude. I have had a mammogram in the past and it was a little uncomfortable but this lady hurt me to the point I was in tears. She didn't explain anything to me at all and had no compassion at all even after telling her I was nervous about having to have a mammogram. I asked her how long it would take to get the results to my Dr because they told me 1-2 days. She processed to tell me that my Dr's office lied to me and that I wouldn't know anything for 1-2 weeks and there is no reason to call any sooner because no one would know anything. I am in the healthcare profession and I have been for 18 years and I would never treat one of my patients like she treated me. It was an awful experience and I called my Dr's office and let them know I refuse to ever go back to this clinic again. I am a young, single mom and this is a scary thing to be facing and she didn't care at all. On a side note the lady at the receptionist desk was super sweet and helpful. Blessings, J. Unfortunately my experience was less than pleasant. I was there for a mammogram, I have had one annually for 20 years. This was the worst. The Tech was not pleasant at all and while it was near the end of the day and she was obviously ready to be done with it, her attitude could have been better. She did not answer my question regarding 3D Imaging. She was very rough with me and even after I told her it was difficult to raise my left arm because I need a shoulder replacement she continued to be rough. I left there in pain. She never bothered to introduce herself and I was in such a hurry to leave after it was over I forgot my jewelry on the table. There is a fine line between professionalism and compassion, be professional but also be compassionate and caring. I am an RN and for 30 years have taken pride in each patient encounter. Mine was just a screening mammogram but imagine the patient that has found a mass, is fearful and seeking answers, dreading the outcome. That tech and her treatment of such a patient would be a horrendous experience adding to their fears. By the way, when someone tells you "thank you" (and I did thank her), the proper response would be "you're welcome".
