This isn't just about cleanliness -- it's about health and safety. Dancers are breathing heavily in this environment, and no one should be expected to train in a space like this. A studio with this level of recognition should be maintaining professional standards. Right now, it's falling far short.

Her ballet classes are the highlight of my week! From day 1 I walked into the studio, I had a feeling I was on another planet. I saw respectful, well-behaved students, truly inspiring atmosphere. Students of different ages, backgrounds, skills drive from remote parts of town, even during rush hour, just to be able to take her one-of-a-kind class. She has this rare talent for navigating students of different levels and pinpointing their needs. Working 7 days/week (!!!), making the schedule so flexible for all of us, - she's truly an inspiration. I'm in the best shape I've ever been! But most importantly, I'm a much happier person BECAUSE of Julia. Bless her soul for loving her job soooo much, and sharing her rare talent with us. If you want your kids to learn discipline, grace, value of hard work and have the Best posture, you must bring them for Julia's classes. I wholeheartedly recommend Julia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The thing I love most about there is that they have is tic toes that will teach you the skills and the foundations do dance while still making it fun. I need a balance of technique and fun and they deliver! I have had the esteemed pleasure of working with and competing with many of the instructors, I've learned a multitude of dances, had incredible support and the most fun I've had pretty much anywhere. Dance itself can be almost addictive once you jump in and boy what better place to get those endorphins in while learning than at a place like this? I went from knowing virtually nothing and feeling very overwhelmed (in a good way) about any partner style dance, (I also didn't have a background in other forms of dance) and threw myself in entirely to then be at my first salsa competition a year later. I'm so glad I made that investment. I've warned lifelong friends and memories. They have knowledgeable teachers, kind staff, a wonderful space and always something fun going on. I have worked with the owner, Raul, the amazing Artem, the show stopping Yesenia, the bubbly Deana, the sassy Jackie and many others during my time there. I've even booked private sessions with instructors just to nail down routines. So if that sounds familiar, keep reading--because by the end of this, you might just be signing up for your first class. I've been a proud member of the Groove Zone community for nearly two years now, and honestly, I can't say enough great things about the instructors and the entire program. Yolanda Thomas, the owner and lead instructor, is a force of nature--an incredibly kind, passionate, and inspiring human who truly cares about every single person who steps through the studio doors. Her motto? "If you think you can't dance, I bet ya I can teach ya how to." (Spoiler alert: She can.) Thanks to Groove Zone, I've performed at two South Bay Lakers halftime shows and even hit the floor at a WNBA halftime performance at Crypto Arena--in front of 15,000 people. Yeah... 15,000. Never in my life did I think I'd perform in front of a live audience, let alone an arena crowd. It's the kind of rush you can't describe--and an experience most people never get the chance to have. And the community? Pure gold. The dancers I've met have become friends, cheerleaders, and my biggest supporters. There's zero judgment in the studio--because we're all there for the same reasons: to learn something new, break a sweat, and most importantly--have fun. Big shoutout to another powerhouse instructor: Manuela. She might seem intimidating at first (because let's be real--she's an absolute beast on the dance floor), but she is hilarious, supportive, and knows her stuff inside and out. She pushes you to grow, step outside your comfort zone, and leave class drenched in sweat--but in the best way possible. When it's time to hit the stage, she'll make sure you're 100% performance ready. And if you're not? She'll tell you that too--but with honesty, compassion, and the goal of making sure next time, you'll own that stage. That's how Groove Zone rolls: real talk, real support, real results. Take it from me--don't do what I did. I walked into my first class... got overwhelmed... and walked right back out. It took me a year to return. Don't let your nerves hold you back like that. Instead, challenge yourself. Step outside your comfort zone. Join a community of people who love to dance just as much as you want to. You don't have to be Justin Timberlake or Britney Spears. (I'm definitely not!) You just have to show up, bring your energy, make some new friends, and get one hell of a workout while you're at it. And when the day comes that you see yourself on a Jumbotron at a packed stadium, absolutely killing it in a halftime performance--don't say I didn't warn you about how badass you'd feel.

We had to switch classes for scheduling reasons and are currently with Miss Emily. She's very engaging with both the students and the parents. She makes sure to keep us all informed about what our little ones are learning, even giving feedback and updates on progress. The customer service has been very top notch too. Most inquiries or requests for rescheduling has been handled quite promptly and without issue. The most recent one being helping a fellow mom take advantage of the "bring a friend to class" promotion the studio was running last month. The studio admin, Sydney, was great and handled everything! We've participated in one recital so far. Sign ups for recitals are optional, so I did not know what to expect, but I certainly didn't think that my daughter was the only one from her class that signed up. My other guess is that not many other girls from that age group signed up either, as she had to perform with just one other student who she didn't know. It was not a long performance, which was to be expected. We're unsure as to why the littlest ones went first, as they set the tone for the rest of their peers, giving the impression that going up on stage has to be a daunting and traumatizing experience. It was my daughter's first time on stage, so I can't say it went fantastically, but I also can't put too much blame on anyone else for that. If anything, it just means she needs to have more classes so she can get better! I can't seem to find out if there are any offers to provide discounts for sibling sign ups, so I hope you guys consider doing something like that in the future!

Our ballet teacher was Ms. Natalie and my wife and I both thought she had a very caring demeanor for working with children. That is something you don't teach. Even though a 1.5 year old can't listen to direction the way a 3, 4, or 5 year old can Ms. Natalie adapted well and tried different things to get our daughter's attention. The studio is nice and well decorated. Parking is easy in the shopping center. We definitely intend on going back. We had a great experience.

My daughter attended the acting classes for a while, and ultimately it left something to be desired. Pros: * Friendly, professional staff. * Productions are nicely done * Makeup classes allowed * Clean facility * Convenient parking Cons: * Pricey for what's offered * No proper script book--only printed pages (my daughter now does theater elsewhere and receives full script books) * We never received any instructor feedback about our child's progress * Productions are extremely short--some felt only 15-20 minutes long. Family and friends would comment on why so short. * The fees to participate in the shows and ticket prices for the productions are high considering how brief the shows are I wasn't expecting Broadway level acting classes but did expect a bit more. First and foremost, I have not one sewing bone in my body, and sadly my grandmother is long gone as that was her niche. My pre teen had been asking for years to learn how to sew and I finally stumbled upon Miss Shannon's class when a few moms from a mom group I'm a part of recommended her classes. From the start, Miss Shannon has been nothing but welcoming. You need to email her to get class info as you aren't able to schedule classes online. I like that though because it's nice to actually talk with the owner and ask any questions you might have. My daughter has had Bella as her instructor for a few months now and my daughter just loves her. We do bring our own sewing machine because my daughter also uses hers at home and it's nice to really learn the machine you'll be working with. They do have sewing machines there for your kids to use though. The first class they teach you how to use the machine, how to thread it, how to make a bobbin, etc, and you will make a cute little pillow. The second class I believe the kids make a tote bag, the class after that project is completed you'll make a pair of pajama pants, and the class after that project is completed you'll make a heavy duty sewing bag, which was my daughters favorite project because she's able to fit her sewing machine and other materials in that bag to bring to class. You will need to bring your own fabric for the tote bags and pajama pants and any other projects you have moving forward. Right now my daughter has been enjoying making different shirts in class. We get the patterns off of Etsy and the projects are completed in class. I saw one student was making a cute little romper. My daughter looks forward to going to class every week and loves Miss Shannon and Bella. They create such a great working environment and aren't afraid to nix any negative energies, which I really appreciate. It's important for these kids to work in a positive environment where their creativity can flow. These two truly care about kids and teaching the art of sewing to the next generation. Right now it is $38 for a two hour class. Payment info is posted inside the shop, or you can ask Miss Shannon directly. Venmo is the preferred method. There is street parking and there is a lot behind the shop, but I've never parked there so I'm not sure if that's a lot for customers or not. These are also drop off classes as the shop inside is pretty small so it's really only big enough to seat the students. I will park my car out in front and read for a couple of hours instead of going home and coming back. I also really appreciate that they lock the doors during class, which is added security for everyone. If your child wants to learn how to sew or wants a safe space to work on their sewing projects, this is the right place for you to be.
