I came here yesterday. Unlike most malls I've been to, this one is really small. The north end is usually empty all the time, so most people go to the south end. The only major shops they have here are Superior and Walmart. Do they even use their lights at all? It looks dark inside. Poor lighting. I've experienced better. That's all. read more

Unfortunately... I don't consider the Centerpoint a mall really :/ I grew up coming here as a kid . Thrifty's, Lucky's and Payless were faves. Sadly all those are gone ! There are a few food vendors and of course the large Walmart . It's just changed so much, I rarely if ever go there . My relative was robbed here, so just a bit weary . However on the plus , when was at Walmart a few years ago - my bf dropped his wallet and someone ran to give it him. Everything is locked up though , so super annoying . This place isn't the same anymore . I hardly come here , it's never crowded , not a lot of businesses are open anymore, majority of them closed down during covid . There's not a big selection of stores , food yes , clothes yes , and there's jewelry stores . You can find inexpensive toys for kids in some of these little stores . But all In all I don't usually shop here I just go straight into Walmart . read more

Do not come here if you're shopping for First Communion or baptism outfits for your kids. There's a specific store in this mall that sells these types of outfits, and our experience with the owners (a woman and her husband) was awful. First of all: completely unprofessional and disorganized. We had agreed a week in advance that I would pick up my kids' items on Wednesday. When I called that day, the husband answered and said he'd check if everything was ready. I waited on hold for nearly an hour while I heard them talking to other customers. No one ever got back to me. I called repeatedly afterward--no answer. So I decided to go on Thursday. I drove all the way from Santa Barbara and got there around 8 PM. The owner (the wife) said she's usually at the store around that time, even though she doesn't keep set hours. When I arrived, she saw me but didn't even start preparing my items--despite saying earlier everything would be ready. I had already paid for my son's items and put down a $100 deposit for my daughter's in advance. Around 9 PM, she TOLD me to go get food or visit the fair for 30 minutes while she dropped off her mother-in-law. Seriously? Her husband could've helped me while she left. I told her I couldn't wait, and she got upset, refusing to give me anything/service and trying to argue. Eventually, I demanded my son's items and a refund for my daughter's, since nothing was ready. Or just a refund overall. She got angry, insulted me in English--thinking I wouldn't understand--and only after that agreed to give me the items. Nothing was packed, and we had to wait two more hours while she had my daughter help prepare the souvenirs. So unprofessional. She even threatened to call security and the cops! We left around 11pm. Worst customer service ever! Husband and mother-in-law didn't say anything, stayed in complete silence and looked at me in shock. They knew that the woman was in the wrong and didn't say anything. Mother in law tried to console me afterwards because i was furious and told me to not listen to that woman "that she's crazy", completely AGREE. Definitely not the first time she argues with customers, heard her arguing with someone else the last time i went. Over all don't make the effort to go here if you don't want to wait more than two hours for the smallest things and deal with the rudest owner. :) read more

This place isnt what it use to be. Transients in every crevice of this mall! The walmart foot traffic doesn't help much either theres shopping cars all over the shopping center you have to park all the way in a corner and hope no one throws their cart in the direction of your vehicle. i recommend coming here early on a weekday anytime after 5 its a madhouse read more

This is an okay little strip mall on Savier's and Channel Islands crossroads. Interior area is attractive, a little humid from the plants and only about half the small shops are occupied. The anchor stores are Walmart and a big grocery store. There is a Dollar store on the corner and some eating options. Parking is easier at the back than on the Savier's road side of things. Otherwise, the location is relatively convenient and there are traffic lights on the corners to help you get in and out. Overall feels like a "cheap" shopping center (in just about any way you want to take that). read more

I grew going to ghettopoint mall! It used to be banging' JC Penny, Mervyn's, then they opened up Smith's a super market, now it's become a Superior. Even more depressing. Like Arley C. said, they used to have the KB Toy Store, and even an arcade, but now, it's been so long, I don't even know what's out there. They had some good food places, It's a Greek to Me and the Combo Chinese Food, but not sure if they're still there and how it taste. I haven't back there for years. I used to go there to the Chinese Kitchen at the Albertson's but it's been closed. The Rite Aid is still there, and still serving good Thrifty ice cream. read more

Centerpoint Mall - Shopping Centers Near Me - Oxnard, California

I remember when Centerpoint Mall (or other common mall nicknames) was actually a real mall at the Esplanade location back in the day (until they tore it down and built the Esplanade what it is now with Nordstrom Rack & TJ Maxx yay!). The Centerpoint now is pretty much empty and almost forgotten with the loss of chain and department stores such as Mervyn's moving out and Superior Market moving in (which turned out to be a great addition since its grand opening). Yoshinoya and Layla moved in as well nearby the mall but I haven't checked those places out yet. Only reasons I'd come to the Centerpoint Mall is for Rite Aide ice cream (WHAT A DEAL!), boba milk tea from Big Straw (ONLY BOBA PLACE IN OXNARD), or clubbing jewelry and accessories ($1 STUFF). And like Rachel R. stated, if you are a female shopper in the area, you WILL get hoot and hollered at by :( You have been warned. read more

Great Mall they have Walmart!! DDs discounts and a bunch of other stores that are great there's a really good Chinese restaurant called Chinese combo is my favorite they have a bunch of good stuff on the menu I highly recommend you going to Centerpoint now it's changed a lot over the years it's much better I love the new stores go to icon they have skate boards and a bunch of cool clothes read more

Centerpoint Mall - Shopping Centers Near Me - Oxnard, California

This is a small community mall with small shops ranging from food courts to clothing, toys, makeup, miscellaneous shops to known stores such as Walmart, Payless, Dds, and Superior. It does its job of providing a place to locally shop and is a decent place to hang out when you can't travel far. They also have kids playground where kids can also enjoy themselves. This mall is at walking distance for many residents so it's very convenient too. read more

My friend and I call this place "Gun Point" Mall, because, to be honest, it's not in the greatest area. I don't mind things hood, but the stare downs and just plain uneasiness I get when I go here, just isn't worth my life. The stores aren't that great and I'm surprised it's still here, standing. Maybe I should just revisit and see if they've actually remodeled, as it's been years since I've been here. That's my dilemma when it comes to malls. Oh Centerpoint Mall... You were a decent place to go to back in the day -- circa early 1990's. You had a KB Toy Store where I would run to and look for cool X-Men action figures that I didn't have. You had a fun arcade in the back that I would waste all the quarters I had saved up. You had a Foot Locker and Miller's Outpost. Seriously, you really used to have some decent stores. I lived in Oxnard for about 18yrs of my life. 9.5 of it i went to the Centerpoint mall cause it had a Footlocker and Millers Outpost (Known as Anchor Blue now) When i used to visit my ex girlfriend in oxnard i only went to the Center point maybe 2 times in the 23 yrs of my existence. 1- To pick up some Jordans back in 2005 that were almost nearly impossible for me to find (yes they're legit cause i know the owner has a nike account) 2- to buy ice cream at rite aid. From my experience of this mall, if you ever plan to commit suicide or contemplate about it, go to this mall and maybe this is the place you might want to do it. GAME OVER. read more

Happy to say that in 2012 this mall has been redone and it is a lot better now. The new Walmart just opened in January 2013 and it nicely fills the void left behind when Kmart needlessly closed. A few stores OUTSIDE the main mall are cool like the Gamestop the Boba place and the small area with the Subway is cool. Rite Aid is a nice quick place to pick up some stuff for the baby (like Aveeno bath, stuff you can't get at the much closer to me Ralphs lol) INSIDE the mall it's so difficult to get good help unless your mainly spanish speaking (which unfortunately I'm not =( I DO remember going here as a kid, and it has changed a lot. (15+ years does that) but then again Oxnard has changed with a lot of low quality stores everywhere like the ones in Centerpoint. read more

You can't trust anyone here in 2010 I forgot my purse with all my info stuff and money cellphone in a bench it wasn't even 10 min I remember I forgot it and went back to get it and when I came back to the same spot it was gone and there was a lot of witness that saw who took it but no one saw nothing I hate going there till this day I made a police report and no one did nothing I called my phone multiple times and nothing checked cameras nothing and the people nothing .I will never go to this mall again. read more

I've lived about two-ish miles away from this place since I was 8 years old. (if you know the area I live near Blackstock Jr. High). You really can't expect much from this place unless you're a girl looking for something extremely cheap (quality and price) to wear for one night or if you're just going to that little accessory store they have in there. I would never ever ever suggest going into the Mervyn's here because the place is a wreck. Like a freakin' tornado came through and they didn't even bother to pick shit up. I don't even know if they clean the place at all (but some of the people working there are actually kind of friendly) Ladies, expect to be gawked at or whistled at by the um.. male patrons of this place. Just the other day my sister was given a loud "DAAAMN" by some little PUNK and being the Overprotective older sister I am, He got an earful from me and I returned the embarrassment back to him. I still remember this mall when it was an actual mall... Millers Outpost, K-B Toys, Mervyn's... And a bunch of other places that use to be popular before completely going out of business. Nowadays, the Centerpoint is basically a Walmart attached to an indoor swap meet. To sort of sum up this place, it use to have a cool little restaurant inside called "It's Greek to Me." I was actually surprised to find out last time I went to Walmart (why else would I be there) that the restaurant was still there. Thought I'd grab a gyro for old time sakes only to discover that while the current restaurant still bares the name, it should now be called "It's Greek to No one" as from what I can tell it only sells snack bar food. Add to this, several stores are vacant despite the relatively recent addition of Walmart as an anchor store and the slew of successful businesses (Subway, Popeye's, Mac's BBQ) that all share the same parking lot. It sort of feels like Walmart may be playing the role of the rent raising landlord squeezing everyone out of the building to make room for a new high rise. It's worth noting that Oxnard has a large Hispanic, Spanish speaking community and the stores in this mall primarily cater to that community; however, that statement shouldn't always preface a second statement about the place being completely rundown, which all too often it does. In this case, the property managers and/or Walmart should help give this place a facelift like they've done with the outside buildings, which are all new and well maintained. Until then, only a single star will shine in this mall's Yelp sky. read more

I haven't been to the centerpointmall in a long time. About 5 years now, I went by the other day because I needed something quick, and yes, it is definitely a dissappointment. It is very run down and not much to look at. I will say , that there was a few surprises. There is a store that sells Authentic perfumes and at a lower price than Macys and there is a Flower Shop on the Hallway going into the mall by where the Grocery store used to be, very nice store, with Party Supplies and Event Decorating- Good place to check out they had better prices than other places I've been looking at for my wedding. read more

My friends and I absolutely LOVE going to "cheddar point" because of all the attention we get! Honestly we don't mind all the whistlin and the hollarin from all the 4-ft men in their work clothes. One of my fav stores is Don Pacheco where I stock up on my health products. Another fav is Mora Boots for cheap western gear! After all the shopping we indulge on the nachos from "It's Greek 2 me" then off to Rite-Aid for a scoop of their famous pistachio ice cream") Then if there's money left at the end of the day we'll pamper to a mani-pedi at Princess Nails with Kim(only $5 mo' for fla-wa - flower) What a steal this mall has to offer!!! read more

This place has gone downhill. I come to this area because I work in one of the businesses there. The stores inside are awful. The food isn't that great either. The worst is when the circus and carnival comes to town and sets up shop in the middle of the parking lot in the back where all the medical offices are. There are no parking for the patients and staff. Some of these patients have to find parking, sometimes having to park near Taco Bell and walk all the way to one of the medical offices. Why can't they go to the other side? They need to stop bringing the circus here. It's crazy!!! read more

Nice!!! Me and my friends called it "The Cheddar Point Mall". This Mall is the pits. It's really gone down hill as of late. Everything sold in this mall is made in a Chines sweat shop. I don't recommend buying a B-Day or X-Mas gift here. In fact don't buy it within a 3 mile radius of this place. read more
