Wish I knew and visited this library with my kiddo before. My son is 1.5 years old and started to…read morelove reading books and listening to me and his teachers book reading to him. We have lot of books at home but he's bored of them. My friend recommended we take my son here and I am so glad I visited today. The play area for children is super fun. There are tons and tons of books. Didn't get to browse as I came only an hour before closing. I really wish their weekend hours are longer. 5pm is early. I am a huge book nerd myself and read hundreds of books in my teen years. Library is my happy place. Happy that my son is enjoying books as much as I do. Will visit again, get membership and start lending books frequently.

Just an FYI to other parents. Do not bother bringing your child to Thursday morning toddler…read morestorytime unless they are age 1 or 2. I tried bringing my 3 year old to storytime, we arrived 20 minutes prior to the library opening, stood in line only to be told my child is too old for their storytime and their curriculum is designed for only 1 or 2 year olds. It's a storytime, you're reading books and singing songs, and you're denying a 3 year old from participating? No where on your online listing does it state an age restriction. It's an age recommendation not restriction. If you are restricting to certain ages then please update your posting so you do not waste people's time. It's already enough effort getting our children ready, taking them to the library and arriving early only to be turned away. We will NOT be returning to this library. I recommend checking out the Newark, Hayward downtown, Hayward weekes or Milpitas library all as alternative options. They have great storytimes that we have attended before without any issues.

Or the day, I want to drop by, they are closed. 1) New building. 2) Very clean and quiet 3) I have not go inside restroom. 4) I saw water filtering machine, you could refill your water bottle, which is nice. 5) The book return machine look modern. 6) I glance at some book, like Stephen king fiction, all new book, very nice, and clean. 7) I saw some chinese character book, some are art and craft, some are chinese fictions. That is good.

Not to mention their teens and children's areas that are perfect for all age groups. The library especially is spacious and virtually meant for young children who want to roam around. Also for all the comic book lovers and enthusiasts, this library provides an enormous collection of comics with the likes of Garfield and Spider-Man from Marvel. What if you want to just borrow a movie to watch? Well, this library has a gigantic section full of movies! With fan-favorites such as the Tatanic and The Mask of Zorro to Batman Begins and Mary Poppins, this place has it all! All in all, it was a good visit and I enjoyed hanging out and relaxing with a book in one of the comfortable lounging chairs and also walking around to see what all this library has to offer. Check out my pictures to see how this library covers everybody for most everything you'd look for in a library, nice!

It has a large parking lot/garage, with I think 2 - 3 floors, attached to the library building, which is really nice because it was always almost full, with people going in and out constantly, despite the Library itself not being that large. I met a client here, someone who lives in Milpitas and who reserved one of those private study rooms for us, the ones that most newer libraries have, which is a great thing for private meetings, study rooms, etc. They have several here. This central location makes it pretty convenient for most families and visitors, the large parking garage really encourages you to visit without waiting for parking. Visit you local public library!

Came here for the first time recently because I love libraries. As far as those go, this is a really nice one. There are different sections with different vibes, all of them modern and clean. However, I noticed (more like smelled) some homeless sleeping in the middle of the library, with a terrible stench. On my way out, I tell the husky lady in the librarian's seat about it, and she immediately gives me an attitude as if I'm the inconvenience, not the stinky mentally ill drug addicts sleeping 10 feet away from all the children in the library. A great idea and great building ruined by idiotic employees.
