i wish i can rate this a 0 star but i cant. large human (ish) rats that have names from parents…read moredon't let your child go to this school they bite your ankles and like to yell out when you are talking... my now 9th grade child has come home from school with rabies. i have heard my son talking about "gyats on these teachers"... my son has asked for a punching bag and a printer for some reason right after school... he came home crying after he had a giant stain of chocolate milk on his brand new white outfit. he has had a kid in the bathroom make him stay out of the stall and he had to poop in a urinal... the food has had expired milk and it was lumpy. there was other students hair in his food and he ate it... he then came home to poop across the entire house because he just found out he is incredibly lactose intolerant... he and i quoted has been touched by a autistic child climbing under the stall door... never bring your child to this school it is a terrible mistake.

Finding our children a great learning community is the key to transitioning them to a new place with the least amount of stress. We all care that our children's education be interrupted as little as possible and we definitely don't want them to get behind. Tidewater Adventist Academy was wonderful at helping our son transition into school here in Hampton Roads. We don't see how they could have done it any better. Before we moved, we communicated with their admissions liaison and she was caring and friendly. We felt like she understood our situation as a military family and she worked with us to get all the paperwork and information we needed so that our son could transition into school smoothly. We felt like the staff already cared about our son's education. Since schools teach with different curriculum and no one class is at the same level, TAA did the standard assessment to figure out where our son was at. What set them apart was the personal attention they gave him so that when he came for his first day of school he was in the right place and not lost at all. We met with the teacher before my son entered her classroom so she not only knew where he was but she was also able to connect with him personally. The smaller class sizes at Tidewater Adventist Academy make it easier for new students to be involved and included. Our very introverted son made friends quickly and easily. Tidewater Adventist Academy is prepared to meet the needs of Military Families in our area and we are so thankful for the quality Christian education that our son is receiving and for the wonderful friendships that he is building. If you are moving to the area, we can't recommend TAA enough.

My student (handicapped) also had a very difficult time trying to participate with school activities, with alot of run around from staff. Please do yourself and child a favor and do not go here!!!

It kinda reminds me of how I would coach a team with the structured plays that always end up with yards gained. The football field is pretty nice nothing spectacular, but it seems well maintained. There are numerous extracurricular activities: student council, debate club, sports, etc. She has P.E. and an elective every day. She chose band, but other choices include orchestra, chorus, etc. Foreign language is offered starting in 7th grade. The school is safe and clean. There are student activities on a regular basis. I went to HS in PA, and football was king on Friday nights. But we never had a field that looked like that! And check out that fall evening sunset. Concessions were limited to canned sodas and bags of chips and whatnot, but it was middle school, so maybe it's more robust for varsity sports. Clean restrooms!
