I am disappointed with how this daycare/school handled my child's potty accident…read more I fully understand that we have responsibility as parents to provide extra clothes, and I can acknowledge that we should have had backup clothes available. That part is on us. However, young children have accidents, especially when they are adjusting to a new environment, and I was shocked by how the situation was handled. I received a call telling me that my child had an accident and that I needed to bring shorts or pants because they were currently only in their shirt. I was also told that if I could not bring clothes, my child would remain without pants. That is the part I cannot accept. A childcare facility should still have a basic contingency plan for situations like this. No child should be left exposed, embarrassed, or without proper clothing because there are no backup options available. Even when a parent forgets something, the child's dignity and comfort should remain the priority. What makes this even more concerning is that since starting at this school, my child's confidence and self-esteem seem to have changed. They have started saying things like, "I don't use my listening ears. I never do," and "I'm a bad kid." As a parent, that is heartbreaking to hear. Children should be corrected and redirected with patience and care, not in a way that makes them internalize shame or feel like they are bad. A potty accident should be handled privately, calmly, and respectfully. It should never become something that adds to a child's embarrassment or affects how they see themselves. As a parent, it was incredibly stressful to receive that call and feel like my child's dignity was not being protected. I hope the school reviews its policy on potty accidents, backup clothing, and how children are spoken to when they are struggling or adjusting.

The staff is incredible--caring, attentive, and truly dedicated to the children. I also love the app that provides live updates throughout the day, so you can stay connected with your little scholar at all times. The structured learning environment is impressive, and the uniforms make all the kids look so neat and adorable. I couldn't be happier with our experience! The Bynum's love it!!!!!!!

As it is a daycare and diapers are changed frequently, there's no unpleasant smells or that icky look or feel to the establishment. You can tell cleanliness and sanitation is taken seriously. The teachers were excited to have a new student coming to learn and play with them. I felt happy and comfortable bringing my little one here to Wise. They keep the children busy with learning and playing and you can see your child's day through updates directly from their teacher! I had a tour before enrolling and an owner stepped out onto the lot after I was parked for a few minutes and asked me if I needed help with anything and to confirm that I was a parent actually visiting the care center. I felt that this made my decision to move my little one here to Wise all the better. This is a private lot, so there should only be traffic from parents and family members actually visiting the center. I was able to see the owner and staff had a genuine concern for the safety of our children and parents that attend the center. Anyone not familiar with how terrible people can be to innocent children may not understand, but as a parent, I was extremely grateful. I too would be suspicious and wary of anyone waiting in the parking lot of a DAYCARE CENTER for a long time. Take time to visit the center for yourself and see the safety, the cleanliness, the love of the staff and happiness of the children. It's good to read reviews, but take it from a parent that actually has a child enrolled here, not a random Uber driver in the parking lot. Remember, some reviews are just posted with malicious intent from random people

We could live with…read morethe cloth napkins required for lunch but there are many aspects we feel are vital to development that are missing. There are no activities to foster imaginative play or free exploration. There is no housekeeping corner, no dress up center, no sand table, no water table, no block center. The structure of the program is to the extreme. Children have choice in their activities; however, the activities are extremely regimented and structured. You may use an activity but only following the highly specific instructions. For example, you may use blocks but only to sort by size. You may not build a tower or wall. Communication is a serious problem. On a day to day basis, you will have no idea what your child is working or what skills they are mastering. There are no written notes sent home at the end of the week describing the books they read, or the songs they sing, or how your child's day is going. Unless you initiate communication, there is none. Children here develop skills and are high achieving. However, at what cost. OBSERVE and decide for yourself. BE CONCERNED

To all of the over-protective, paranoid Momma's!…read more I NEVER take the time to write reviews however, this one is well overdo. Collectively , we have invested 9 years with both of our children having attended Primrose. We feel the need to share our apprection with these words. With our first born, we recall scrolling and scrolling through the internet to find the best possible care for our baby... to the extent of keeping us awake at night. Luckily, we came across Primrose at Cahoon Commons. It was a godsend and we can genuinely say it was the best decision we have ever made. Being duel militray, the staff at Primrose was very accommodating with the hours, extreme professionalism, and even arranged fun arts & crafts to mail my husband while he was on deployment, amount many other things. Everyone wants to drop their babies off with trusted care and we can honestly say we knew our babies were safe and in excellent care every single day. We cannot express how much we appreciate you all. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, for loving our children and giving us peace of mind on a daily basis for over the past 9 years. Over the years there has been a lot of turnover in both the teachers and the directors. At one point the teachers in the school age room acted like a drill sergeant. It seems like once there is a finally a good team put in place at the director level, someone gets reassigned to a different center and we as parents are at ground zero again. On another negative. They will nickel and dime you to death! For example. For Christmas this year the Center was closed on Monday and Tuesday. My regular rate for the week is $87. However, because my child is school age and would attend "out of the norm" we would have been charged an additional $16 per day for any days attended that week. Luckily, I was able to use a vacation week for the week. Each family is allotted one vacation week per year. This week, the Center closes at 2:30 today for New Year's Eve, and is closed tomorrow for New's Day. Our account is charged $16 extra for today plus our normal $87. This happens on other holidays as well. If the Center is going to close on days during the week, I do not feel they should charge extra for the other days. Not to mention there are two holidays the Center closes, I believe one is President's Day and they use it as a "Staff Learning Day". Okay, this is a DAYCARE! Perhaps, learning should be done after hours or weekends, not everyone has 12 holidays per year.

Unsettling is the office staff (higher ups like center directors and asst. directors) are also fleeting. It makes you question management and their lack of ability to host happy and worthwhile employees. 2. I feel like I was constantly nickel and dimed to death. An enrollment fee for the following year?! ($75 per kid) But my kid is already a PAYING customer. While I understand needing to get money for other stuff to run a business, I personally don't feel like 75 bucks a kid when you already pay tuition weekly is right. Oh, your kid is out of school an extra hour early, better charge your account for it. I just always felt like they kept wanting something from me or trying to find another way to charge me for something. 3. While I am not a strongly religious person and did not pick the daycare for that reason, I feel if others are looking to this daycare for that purpose this is NOT the place for you. In my personal opinion the upper management (CEO and/or board) doesn't function off of "Christian values". I get a shady vibe, take that however you please. In conclusion, I have paid Appletree for the past 4 years to watch my children, at multiple centers, for multiple ages. Each year got progressively worse, and each issue above got even more annoying. This year when asked to pay yet another enrollment fee, I opted out. I feel the amount of money i spend is not worth the care my children receive and I'm also not impressed with the way I am treated as a loyal paying parent. After interactions with management I have completely abandoned any want/or need to send my children back, ever. Did I encounter horrible childcare practices...no. Is the cost decent....yea its not the highest cost in the area. Would I recommend it to others...no.
