There was 3 feet of snow on the ground when I arrived. I had a great time. The skiing was great. I paid for a private ski lesson and the instructor was very good. The view from my hotel window was breath-taking. The hotel staff was bilingual and extremely helpful. With Club Med all around the world I am looking forward to go to their other locations.

You won't be disappointed! The 12-14 person chalet was our home for 7 nights. The rooms all had their own bathroom which was fantastic for a large group. We enjoyed the daily breakfast, a midday snack & tea, taste bud tantalizing 5-course dinner cooked by our in-house chef each night, and unlimited French wine every night. I mean, pinch me! And we were steps from the mountain, plus you could ski back to the house, and we had our own hot tub and sauna. Slam dunk! What an incredible deal for the value we received! And hello Annie! Hands of wonder in the on-property yurt giving the best massages! You must book! And the service was top notch and always looked out for us. Head into the office in the center of town, make a reservation, and show up the morning of the trip with your skis, lunch, and a sense of adventure. The Vallee Blanche was definitely a bucket list item for me, and I hit it on an absolutely fantastic day. It was a few days after a storm, so there was plenty of untracked powder up top and the actual day was a blue sky perfect day. The guides provide you with harnesses and beacons, and are there to guide you to past the dangers of skiing on a glacier. I was expecting a harder day, but the route was not nearly as tough as some of the on-piste routes in the lift served areas. Our group was about 8 strong, and we tackled the run in stages, heading off at a stagger and regrouping along the way. The views are magnificent, and you get the feeling of skiing in areas that beyond the reach of most people, even if a cable car took you to the top. The flats at the bottom can be tiring, and the climb out of the glacier for the train ride back to town was actually the hardest part of the day (thank you global warming).
