I have been Lutheran all my life but went…read morethrough a period of neglect of my Christian faith, that is until I was invited to join a group forming a new church in Calallen. Having gone through personal struggles including an uncommon sense of timidity and fear of crowds, this church and it's members through the years have helped to slowly peal away the many layers of anxiety and fear. This is of course the work of the Holy Spirit. The confidence gained in the Lord has led me to remarkable experiences at Messiah Lutheran Church. Struggling with personal issues is nothing more than Satan trying to discourage us away from God's desires in and for our lives. Yes they are real and yes they can be overcome. Praise and thanks to God for helping me. I see in some reviews, discontents that go back many many years and still they have not in recent years shown up to see what's going on now. Dwelling on past experiences might not be fair to the accused nor to the accuser, many things have changed in 40+ years, I sure have. Perceptions of circumstances are most likely only from one point of view and may not necessarily reflect the whole picture. We really need to be careful in our accusations, God knows the truth about every situation and He will judge. Dwelling on negative things of the past just saps your energy and robs you of the positive hope and joy in God's forgiveness and comfort. The congregation now is not the congregation of 40 years ago. I need not defend either, these are God's people and my brothers and sisters in Christ. Pastors come and go as God calls them elsewhere to minister, that is a fact of life and so is the fact that people come and go, some move away, some die, those left are my church family. We now have a settled permanent Pastor that is doing great things in our congregation, offering God's forgiveness, hope and comfort, come and see and hear the Good News of Christ Jesus, crucified and risen for the forgiveness of our sins! We are open every Sunday morning for worship at 9:30AM. Peace be yours through Jesus Christ our Lord!

I regret that I didn't take pictures but I focused on the mass, and specially on taking care of my children. Anyways... as I entered I saw it big; the space is very wide from side to side. Bathrooms available, wheelchair access. Beautiful piece of art, very welcoming to the mass. Very close to the water, sometimes I wonder how was it many years ago, that is one of the reasons why I choose to visit old churches because you can always learn more. You definitely want to attend mass.

They have a play every year the Boars Head & Yule Log Festival which is an awesome medieval rendition of past events played out. The pastor has been switched in the last few years and the new one is not so bad himself. Plenty of seating and it's also home to a day care, kindergarten school if your looking for that. If your looking for a new Church or School go by and check it out, they are open everyday.

It was actually a good thing that some of the other churches were closed for renovations which is what brought me to St Paul the Apostle. The pictures will show how beautiful the stained glass sides are in the sanctuary. A traveling first class relic of Padre Pio was present for viewing after Mass which was such a special coincidence. The priest was lively and humorous and shared a wonderful homily. The deacon seemed a little disengaged so ai prayed for a renewal of his faith. There was a small Choir with words and peaceful images projected on the wall for participation. I thought it was a nice touch how the priest had everyone who had a birthday or an anniversary come forward for a church wide blessing. And during collection the priest came down the center aisle and invited all the little ones to come for a high five. All of the children brought money for the church at that time. If I lived near here I would definitely consider this becoming my home parish. Mass times are spread out nicely and the grounds offer other areas for prayer and reflection.

They don't just talk about it they are in the streets trying to get our fathers message out that you are loved! Also they have a food ministry to help feed the homeless. I choose to join this family because of the out pour of love!
