The Summit was just the one that my family fit in with the best. Every week we come, Pastor Mike delivers a message that everyone can relate to that will strengthen and encourage you in your walk with God. Every since my family relocated here from Florida, we have been coming to second service every Sunday. They have a lot of opportunities to join small groups and to get involved with the community. They also have an incredible worship team. They play mainly contemporary Christian songs, lots of Hillsong, Chris Tomlin, David Crowder, and other songs you may hear on the radio. As a guitar player for my last church, I know a good worship team when I see one. These guys and gals are very talented as instruments of the Lord. My 7 year old son loves going to the children's ministry as well. Every week, they give him a Bible verse to study with an incentive to memorize it. They get "Bible Bucks" and can eventually save them for some prizes. The game room is pretty cool, too.

I attended this church for the first time, I enjoy meditating and praying and asking God to forgive…read moremy shortcomings, I also find the need to thank my lord and Savior Jesus Christ for all that he has done for me. it has been a while since I have been to church(YEARS), so I was surprised to see armed guards at the door, while in a deep meditation, I was approached by a police officer, disturbing my worship. I didn't make a scene, I stood up and left the service. I chose church instead of working and trying to make a buck, I guess if you are not whooping and hollering and raising your hand and pointing out to all the souls in there that this is your first visit then you are not their cup of tea Christian, well, in the same breath they want to bribe someone with a free gift to say it's your first time, It is like JUDAS getting gold coins for exposing Jesus so the Romans could arrest JESUS. The Roman today was a CCPD officer. All I wanted to do was feel the presence of JESUS and all I felt was NOT WELCOME! My journey continues and I know deep in my heart I will in fact find like minded people who believe in the acceptance of ALL people, like JESUS did, they do not practice what they are trying to preach!
