My 80-year-old cousin told me about the horrible treatment by this practice. She has heart problems and they treated her until they didn't. Apparently,some incompetent nurse screwed up and these doctors are blaming my cousin, who was comatose in the hospital. They dropped her, and no one will talk to her or her representatives and other doctors nor will they refer her. Anywhere but Florida this is unethical or illegal. I continue to be thankful that I got out of there alive and with all my body parts. I used to go toTampa to get decent medical care. read more

I have been seeing Dr Anderson as my cardiologist since 2019 and he has expertly and compassionately guided me through a heart catherization, open-heart surgery to replace my aortic valve, two treatments for Afib and issues with lymphedema. He takes his time to listen to my ailments, thoroughly explains the various options for treatment, then puts together an action plan that is second to none. New to central Florida. Have been under the care of a cardiologist in California for nearly 20 years. In less than a week's time had appts at two of this group's offices. One of which I assume is the main one, the other a neighborhood satellite location. Parking was easy. Reception staff very efficient. In both instances was escorted into the examination room prior to the appt time. (In the world of healthcare this never happens.) IMO, Dr. Bruce Stein is top-notch. Given I am a new patient, an EKG was administered. Dr. Stein reviewed the tape. Identified an area of potential concern. And scheduled me for a PET Stress Test within three business days. Was greeted at the group's main office by Margaret, who was friendly, clear in her explanations, and very efficient. The next hour or so went exactly as had been explained. No surprises. As fate would have it, the PET Stress Test confirmed the need for addtl diagnoses (which again was scheduled within days, and the proposed procedure clearly explained). Central Florida Cardiology Group is a big operation with a large medical staff and several offices. Given the economics of private healthcare it would be easy to slip into the five-minute consult, room-hopping approach to patient care. Fortunately, it appears CFCG has chosen to pursue an alternate approach. read more

I arrived 40 minutes early and expected a long wait to see the doctor. I was called back within 10 minutes of my arrival. My previous doctor had left the practice and I was meeting with another doctor who I was minimally familiar with. After meeting with the tech first, the doctor was prompt, showing sincere interest, asking probing questions, offering positive lifestyle change suggestions, and ordering follow up testing. The doctor spent adequate time, never rushing through the appointment. He is obviously very accomplished and I feel confident with his examination and evaluation. read more

I had a complete workup with this group, anxious because of my strong family history of heart disease. The physician I saw was caring but rushed. I didn't feel I had enough time, especially with my first visit, to adequately get my questions answered. He was very thorough in followup testing, however and I was satisfied with the results. However, when I signed a release to send my records to my PCP, I discovered they had LOST (or "could not locate") my records!! Even though this was 15 years ago this happened, this is completely unacceptable considering the money and time involved. I am now seeking another cardiologist for followup evaluations and will definitely NOT be going back to this group, even if they only keep records for 10 years. This happened 2 years after I had all these tests done!! read more

Started out good two years ago. Now it's difficult to get an appointment. You either running way behind. It's been almost impossible to get my disability paperwork filled out. My questions never get answered on the portal. Last time I called with a problem I got a call back 5 days later after I had already been in the hospital for 3 days. read more

Balancing Quality of Care and Quantity of Care This review is based on series of appointments and procedures spanning a 90 day period from December 2020 to February 2021. My overall impression is the CF Cardiology Group places more emphasis on quantity of appointments than quality of healthcare provided to patients. Beyond your name and date of birth you are a number and the more numbers that pass through their offices in a day the more money they make. That doesn't mean they don't meet acceptable levels under medical standards of care as they do. Just don't expect anything beyond the minimum standards of care. Let me give you two examples. In early January I was scheduled for a procedures in one of their outpatient clinics. I was directed to arrive at the facility at 8:00 am only to learn that my procedure wasn't scheduled to 11:30 that morning. The procedure took less than 20 minutes. Why I needed to be there 3.5 hours prior to the procedures was never explained. My take away was I was there to make their life easier and not because they were effective at their scheduling or providing me updates on what was happening in the 3.5 hour wait. Recently I underwent an operation where my heart rate dropped dangerously low (according to the surgeon post operation). I was held in the hospital pending consultation with CF Cardiology Group. Repeated attempts to contact by both the hospital staff and myself were unsuccessful. The cardiologist on call, Dr. Usman R. Siddiqui, was not responsive. My regular cardiologist, Dr. Sandeep Bajaj was in his daily routine of seeing patients and even though a receptionist in the location he was in took my name and phone number he never returned my call. When I contacted the CFCG main office in Winter Park I spoke with a very nice receptionist who explained that there was a protocol on how these consultations were done but she couldn't explain to me who from CFCG was going to contact the hospital or when that would happen. Ultimately a nurse practitioner from CFCG was found and said one of the medications that had been prescribed to me slowed by heart rate even though my medical history shows I have a naturally low heart rate from years of long distance running and that medication shouldn't have been prescribed. She took me off the heart rate lowering medication and I was subsequently released from the hospital. If you are considering seeking care from CFCG temper your expectations to recognize you will receive an acceptable medical standard of care but little above that level of care and they do not respond well to anomalies outside their normal daily routine. It is Quantity of care and minimally satisfy Quality of care. read more

Highly bureaucratic office. The staff are difficult to work with. For example, they called and cancelled my appointment the day before the appointment which had already been in place for weeks. They told me I can't see the doctor I prefer (and had previously seen), and will now have to make another appointment - this time with another doctor, the one I originally saw 5+ years ago. Apparently, office policy does not allow a patient to see the doctor of his/her choice! read more

The long waits and the lack of attention of the doctor when you finally see him has determined that I will seek another doctor for my needs--one who will act professionally and responsibly. Dr. Rodriguez left the examining room to ascertain some information and never came back. We were left hanging. Still to this day I do not know what happened. If he cannot focus for the length of time to see one patient, why would I trust him for anything further?! I would NEVER recommend this facility to anyone. The head nurse/secretary was also rude and inaccessible. Trying to get the documentation needed for referrals or other needs was pretty much impossible. read more

I strongly recommend you stay away from this Cardiology group in Orlando and lake Mary Florida. The nurses and receptionists are extremely disorganized and show no sense of customer satisfaction. Mostly rude . Try calling one of the nurses and you get a voice mail stating she will get back to you within 48 hours. Yes, its true. 48 hours. It's fun when you are placed on hold on a phone call. They just forget about you and never get back . Also, try getting a prescription refill sent to a pharmacy. Four days and no luck. Even Walmart was frustrated at lack of response. What a mess and management appears to be blind to all this. read more

I was referred to Dr Kumar by my GP. My records were forwarded to them in advance and yet I had 40 minutes of paperwork once I got there. For the $1650/hr rate I was billed, they should have done as much of that for me before I ever walked in. No, that is not what I was actually billed but it IT WHAT I PAID as I pay for my insurance too despite "negotiated rated". I asked the receptionist for before insurance costs for services and was told I could only have those rates for the services I received! Apparently, they set whatever price they want and then disguise it as a "contracted rate with the insurance". No electronic check-in to speed things up and nurses who seemed more intent on distracting you from the paperwork (asking the same questions as was on the paperwork) (they obviously didn't READ MY FILE). 10 minutes with the DR. just to be told to take a baby aspirin and schedule 2 tests (stress and echo). I scheduled the echo after a night in the hospital 2 days later and was told afterwards that they should have results in 2 to 3 days. NOBODY will call you with results from that office! YOU MUST DO THE WORK FOR THEM and call in for it... and wait for the nurse to do their job. As for the office itself, the waiting area looks like a 70's show threw up in there. This place REALLY needs an office manager that knows who to do quality work. read more
