They are terrible!! Within a year of installing my fence the boards started to get loose. Called CGF and was told that the warranty had inspired. I had some one else to look at it, and was told that the whole side was going to fall down, and I would probably have to replace it. Money wasted. read more

Called for quotes from three fence companies in the Mid-Georgia area; Tripp was the only one that called back, and he called within an hour of me contacting him through his web site. Having only the one quote, I still knew it was well within the correct price range based on some feedback from others so we scheduled a date. A couple weather incidents kept the crew from getting to us when they originally thought they would (12 days), but it was less than three weeks from quote to build. We had a 4ft fence to demo and about 150ft of 6 foot going up with a 10ft double gate entry. The original fence was off the property line by quite a bit so the crew showed and made triple sure to find the property line so as not to cause problems down the road. After demo'ing the old fence and finding the property pins and marking off the line, they went straight to work setting posts. The work was fast and furious and after checking it with an eyeball down the row of posts, it's one of the straightest fences I've seen. Once the posts were up, the rest was easy for this crew and it looked like they'd all done it for years. All the pickets are tight to one another, level, and all the wood used was top quality. The double gate is going to be a big improvement over the old, busted and broken down gate and since they used a really nice gate frame, with some 2x4 reinforcement, I foresee these doors, and the fence in general, lasting a while. Everyone from Tripp on down was courteous and professional and very helpful when a question arose from a neighbor. We called and left a message for Tripp about this question and he called back within minutes. Not only did he assure us we were OK over the concern of the neighbor, he flat out guaranteed that he and his crew did everything by the book and local laws and would stand behind the work and placement of the fence as long as it stood. I would absolutely call Central Georgia Fence if we decide to have the fence on the other side of our property replaced. I know it will get done with quality material and correctly. One of our gates began to sag about 9 months after the fence was put up. The owner seemed very nice and professional, so I didn't foresee a problem with him coming back out to fix it for me. I was quite surprised when he wouldn't return my calls or answer my messages. I guess I have to pay someone else to fix Central Georgia's work. I entered into a contract with the owner of a Central Georgia Fences Inc., for a real property improvement "brick wall" project. I paid Tripp, the owner of the fencing company, a $25,000.00 down payment for "materials and start up". During initial preparations for the brick wall, " I allege" the fencing company was responsible for damage to my property, damages to my neighbor's property, installed a "fence" footing on my property; that failed to meet my specifications, thus breaching the contract, going further by delegating the contract and project to me without my knowledge or consent, failed to tender and deliver "goods" but allegedly charging me for those goods, project abandonment and has been depriving me of down payment money ever since Tripp delegated [h]is responsibilities, of the contract, to me and abandoned the entire real property improvement project. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau ("BBB"), the complaint failed "Conciliation". I agreed to and attempted to mediate the complaint, using the BBB's Dispute Resolution program. "Unfortunately, through the mediation process [the mediator was] unable [to assist the parties] to reach an agreement between both parties and [ended in] an empasse [sic]." The BBB declined to offer binding arbitration, "[b]ecause the request [was] outside BBB's guidelines for arbitration." USE ANOTHER COMPANY!! I got a fence from this company and after a few months some of the boards were never nailed in. I reached out only to have the owner laugh at me for asking that they come out and fix the boards. I contacted him in October, November and then again in February only to receive the response about how busy they are. The last text message I sent to him I told him I didn't want him to come out anymore and that I would share my experience. He told me to go ahead and "run my mouth." So I am. I paid more than $4k for my fence to be treated in this manner was unprofessional and uncalled for. I was very understanding but the quality of the fence I received was less than par if they forgot to nail in boards. There are better companies here in Warner Robins and will treat you with more dignity and respect than this one. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. We contacted this company to put in our new fence and put in a metal picket fence in the yards for a dog run. On February 1, 2017, we were told the metal fence materials were ordered and would take two weeks to arrive. We put down a deposit on February 7, 2017. More than half of the price of the job. On February 24, 2017, a crew arrived and tore down the old fence. They put the posts in our yard and left the wood materials in our yard. No sign of the metal fence. The following Monday, February 27, work started on the wood privacy fence. The morning of February 28, 2017, the team lead said the owner told him to collect the balance minus $500. We paid and the check cleared our bank March 2, 2017. We were told the metal fence would be installed March 31, 2017. No fence yet, so today I managed to have a call returned and simply asked how long does it take to install a metal picket fence, the owner asked how large and I told him 20 X 25 feet, he quickly responded 1 day. So that is when I told him who I was and wanted to know why my fence isn't there. He said he explained to my husband he was waiting on materials. I reminded him, he ordered the materials on February 1, and they should have been delivered February 14. Then he said the fence was already installed. Oh, no it is NOT. Contacted Tripp about writing up an estimate and because I went with a different company previously, he refused to even talk about a new job. He said to contact the other company that I had previously used and was extremely rude about it. In these rough economic times, it blows me away that a small company would refuse to take a job. Tripp with Central Georgia Fences was very pleasant to work with, and we are happy with our final product. Tripp came out and gave us a free estimate within a few days of emailing them on their website. He quoted us right around our budget and was open to doing a unique fence for our yard. We decided on half privacy fence, half crossbuck fence with wire. Originally they said they would book us to start the fence 2 weeks from the estimate, but they ended up coming around a week later. We told them we were leaving on vacation and if they could finish before we left (just a 2 day time frame) then they could start, and they said they would. The men worked hard while they were here, and talked to me with several times when they had questions. We left on vacation, and heard from neighbors that it took them an extra day to complete the work and that there were a lot of things left all over our yard including a stack of lumber, a roll of wire, and 3 or 4 rolls of nails for a nail gun, string, and some trash. When we came back from vacation, we noticed that the wire on the fence wasn't exactly how we would want it nor safe and that our gates were already rusting. Within a week, Tripp had a few men come out to clip the excess wire to make the fence safe, and paint Rustoleum on the gates where the welding process had left areas of rust. They were nice and explained that they were sorry for leaving things around the yard as well. All in all, we enjoyed working with this company and have had several compliments on how well our fence looks! We're happy that they came back out promptly and fixed the issues we found, we're happy with the look of the fence and the men who built it, but there were just a few things as mentioned above that I think could have been done a little smoother- talking with his team to get a more realistic time frame, not leaving work items in the yard, and having the wire safely trimmed before ending the job. read more

Called the company in February to come out and fix a sagging fence. I asked them to call me before they came out so I could make sure my dogs were put in the house. They made an appt, and I waited for hours..No show! I called them to inquire about when they would be coming, and was told they did come and wrote an estimate. I know if they came in the yard because you can't close the gate from the outside and it was still closed. Then she said sometimes they just 'look over' the fence to give an estimate. I don't know how things work in this business, so I just went with this explanation. Next they made an appt to come compete the repairs, they once again didn't show up or call. Finally a week later they showed up on a Sunday, but said they didn't have what they needed (probably never even looked at my fence during the so called estimate), and he would be back in a couple of hours. That was the middle of March. I have called since then, and was told they were running a few weeks behind. That was told to me over a month ago. No call or anything. Now all the other fence people are busy with commercial work. If your too busy to do a repair, don't take the job. Now we're probably have to go all summer with a fence about to fall over.
