I faced a lot of discrimination, snarky commentary as a parent when I picked my kid up. Even my daughter got mistreated a few times. Steer away from this location they don't treat the kids well. Also food, they give the kids many sugary items at the end of the day before they send them home. Every day is a meltdown day.

Everyone seemed very nice and although everyone was masked and provided appropriate safety measures on the tour, my child's teacher and at least two other individuals that work here do not believe in wearing a mask to protect the vulnerable children during this deadly pandemic. We had to un-enroll her after just two days here. To me, this demonstrated a poor lack of judgment among other things. Why wouldn't you want to protect the children you're teaching? I spoke with the director and she apologized and refunded all of our money. The issue with the staff not masking is complicated as they claimed a religious exemption to masking (which isn't a real thing)! We're two years into his pandemic. Wearing a mask isn't hard. I'm a nurse and wear one all day while caring for patients. It's not hard to protect yourself and others. It amazes me that I even have to write this right now but I want others to be aware before enrolling here in case keeping their children safe at preschool is a concern for them.

Once the director in 2024 left everything was turned upside down. From the interim directors to the 14 different teachers that went through the infant room (new and existing employees) it was madness. It felt like they were trialing the new teachers in the infant room. Come to find out, a teacher walked out (from the infant room) and neglected all the babies until someone realized from hearing them crying (4-5 babies) and stepped in. If I had known how to report things like this to DCYF, I would have immediately. I even had a teacher (from a different age group who was actively caring for children when I arrived) follow me to the infant room and harass me about why I didn't respond to the photo they sent of an injury my child received under the direct care of that teacher. Not to mention for getting shamed by them for not wanting my kid to eat the trash food they provided. I know kitsap county has the WORST availability for daycare, please do not send your children here. I've also edited my review to add that there were many time where my child hadn't been fed or given a nap but they would complain that he was difficult those days because he was upset all day. I literally looked at them and said "I wonder why when he hasn't been fed on time or had any sleep". Once at pickup they even said "oh yea, hes hungry" because they noticed they missed his next bottle. I don't completelt blame the teachers because if their management had provided adequate support, this may not have happened. Check google reviews too!! Older children have escaped from an unlocked/broken fence gate and ended up in the street.

Mrs. Crystal was a great teacher in the discovery preschool class room and had a very focused classroom. They did a lot of art and I felt like he was getting the attention he needed which was lacking in the teacher before her. Mrs. Rochelle was also great. She has a fun personality and really cared about the kids. Bad: The directors change all the time. Also the teachers rarely last more than 4 months. In the 1 year I was there they had 3 different directors. Also, the directors were never around. The door didn't lock unless you pushed the door in itself and made sure it clicked. With parents in a hurry and nobody in the front office I would often come to the center with it not locked. The keypad sucked and took multiple times to get the code to work. Even teachers complained about it. I ended up leaving because my child got sick, which isn't the daycares fault but everytime I tried to call and give an update I was cut off. By update I mean "hey he's going to be out this week again" just something short so they knew. I was told that I would get a call back and never did. This happened two of the three weeks he was out. It was after the second time that I realized they didn't care and took him out.

Kindercare in Bremerton has been the best daycare for my daughter. They have a secure facility…read more(requiring a code to enter the building and a different code to enter each of the classrooms). Because of COVID-19, all children are checked in while still outside. Masks required for the parents and teachers working there. A temperature check station is also located outside, to make sure you're child doesn't have an elevated temperature before they enter the building. My daughter attended this location for about a year and a half. I only moved Daycare's because my work situation changed. The director and all teachers are supportive, loving and they genuinely care for each child that goes there. One of my favorite parts of my daughter attending there was the app. l received updates based on her day, what she was doing and what she may need (like diapers, wipes). From the app you can also email the director and teacher's directly as well. Other updates include their bathroom habits, what they are eating for meals and snacks, AND they even upload pictures and videos! It's the coolest thing and it's something I really looked forward to daily! There's a monthly calendar outlining what your child will be learning. I could leave my daughter with the gals there with no worries. She adored the teachers there, she learned daily, and have always had great outdoor play. I can not recommend Bremerton Kindercare enough!!!!!!
