They scam their residents and don't even file the leasing agreements and try to take you to court saying you didn't pay rent when you did. They never fix anything either. They got time to put notices on peoples doors but no time to do their actual job and do the maintenance requests that you file. They're scum bags. One maintenance guy drives a new sporty bmw and lives in the apartment for cheaper cost and doesn't fix a single thing. The staff is useless. I moved out of Central Park August of 2021. Two weeks ago (March 2022) I received a notice in the mail from a DEBT COLLECTOR saying I had debt from an unresolved account with Central Park... I never once heard anything from CP about still owing them money, not a single phone call, email, or piece of mail. Obviously, I called and emailed them several times over the past couple weeks and after asking repeatedly what the debt is for and why they never contacted me about it before sending it to collections, they just sent me my move out statement, which showed I owed for the two weeks left in my lease after I moved out... They had no excuse as to why I never saw that move out statement when I moved out and why I was never contacted about still owing them money... If I had received just ONE communication from them at the time, I would have paid what was owed... Now my credit score has a collections record on it which won't be removed for YEARS. All of this could have been avoided by them making one email or phone call notifying me of the missing payment. Do NOT live here unless you want to be scammed! Their lease is a complete scam, they overcharged me two months after my lease ended totaling $3K, and if I didn't pay I was threatened to be taken to court. I'm an engineer for consumers energy, and I've always kept up with my payments and I was a good tenant throughout my entire stay. Long story short: I am pregnant, my neighbor smokes cigarettes, I've complained for a month with no action from the front and I can only move out to protect mine and my baby's health if I pay 2 months rent plus the lease break fee. We have lived here since early December 2021. Since mid January, I have been emailing and calling the office about my neighbor who smokes cigarettes in his apartment which makes the hallway smell really bad and we have to breathe in the second hand smoke whenever we come and go and whatever smoke is seeping into our apartment. After a couple weeks of emails, the front office posted "community reminders" on the front door of the buildings. This reminder (in small print) had a list of things not allowed which included no smoking. My neighbor continued to smoke and I continued to email and call the office. Fast forward to a month after my first email, I finally got pregnant so I called the front office again to say my neighbor is still smoking and that I'm even more concerned about the smoking now that I am pregnant. Zach, at the front office, responded with "well we put signs" and that he'll have to head over to my building to see if he smells anything and that he'll have to request an inspection with the tenant. So after a month of emails and calls, this whole time they never thought to come to my building to investigate? The following day I called to follow up and Zach said he walked to the building to see if he could smell cigarette smoke and he said he didn't. I asked him if he was going to do an inspection on the tenant's apartment and he said "well no, I like to see first if I could smell something." I asked him why he didn't do an inspection like he said he was going to do and he just kept saying "well I went over there". I told him my neighbor sprays the hallway now with air freshener since I've complained but it doesn't change the fact that there's cigarette smoke I am breathing in. Again, no care in the world for Zach. That same night I come home from a trip and the hallway smelled like cigarettes. I emailed again and Zach said that when he came again, there was a faint smell of cigarettes so now...now after a month...they will do inspections. When I told Zach that we couldn't keep breathing in the cigarette smoke and that we would have to move, his answer to me was that I need to pay 2 months rent plus the lease break fee. So let me get this straight -- they are holding us hostage by saying we can only move if we pay them the early lease termination fee and 2 months rent even though they created and contributed to an unhealthy living environment for myself, my husband, my dogs, and now my baby. So we either pay them a few thousand dollars so we don't have to breathe the second hand smoke or we continue living here and continue to breathe the second hand smoke and and have it negatively affect our health. read more

The new management just doesn't listen to it`s tenants. e.g. They have started putting new stoves into the apartment. The stoves are not good since they cut off after reaching a certain temprature. For our food to cook we need high temperature, the previous cook put was ok and did not shut off. When I spoke to the person in the office, they basically told me we buy a NEW electric stand-alone stove. And said they just can`t do anything. New tenants, please demand a better cookstove if you are planning to move here. read more

Hi, We had a great time in central park apartments. Stayed there for 9 months and had to move because of job change. It was very hard to leave this place. We lived in a two bed/two bath. The plan was perfect with a storage room. Well lighted apartments. Covered car ports. Maintenance was quick and I would just send an email. In house washer and dryer. If 0 stars were possible, I'd submit that. Where to begin? I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. First, our lease was never loaded into the system properly thus creating multiple miscommunications about what the rent amount we should pay was. This lead to court. We submitted all appropriate paperwork for my ESA, yet we were taken to court over those charges as well (illegal). Our home we moved into was beyond unsafe including our countertops falling on our children as they were not attached, our garage and sidewalk is COMPLETELY damaged. I broke my toe on the uneven sidewalk the day we moved in in 2022. Still has yet to be fixed. Our bathroom was unusable for months as the countertop in there was a giant pointed shard of marble. Now, we're being forced to go elsewhere to pay rent due to a new policy which in all respects is AMPS, CPK's fault. Not to mention the additional fees tacked on for things again, because of your previously poor management and apartment maintenance. Had the lease been loaded, had the ESA charges been correct - court wouldn't have been necessary. But it was to FORCE you to update my ESA status in your systems. Why is that? You know it's illegal. The lack of accountability by corporate is disgusting. The fact that over a year later, there are still issues and you have the audacity to place blame on us for things directly caused by YOU, the LANDLORD and your negligence is disgusting. You are the textbook example as to why people regard Landlord's as monsters. People need to live in a safe home and not feel penalized just for being alive. The IRS does enough of that, thank you. To take your own employees to court over back rent that YOU DID NOT CORRECT was mind blowing.I pray no one makes the same mistake with trusting this company to do the right thing. I was without an air conditioner for 3 months during last summer and the manager blamed her workload and email for ignoring my requests. I had also called. I wanted to extend my lease just until my house was done and instead of offering me something affordable they wanted me to rent out to someone I know and resign a whole lease. When I complained about my neighbor who talks to herself and walks her dog in a stroller, the office called me racist. When I complained about Suzanna to the regional manager, she was promoted. Their company is flawed and the girls at the office are fake and take joy in mistreating residents. My water was never hot, and I had to put a filter on it to remove rust residue from my tub. I was also without a dishwasher that worked, and my fireplace stopped working about a year ago. It was fixed for a weekend, then broke again. Tennis courts are beat up, our balls always bounce weird out of the giant cracks, and the gym is old. Live anywhere else. read more

DO NOT LIVE HERE! They TRASHED my apartment during a plumbing project and after even two complaints refused to have my apartment cleaned for me. I was told the project would be around the plumbing in the hallway, kitchen, bathroom, laundry room. So I moved my belongings to my bedroom. They did a horrible job masking off my belongings didn't bother to cover my couches or tables, and the project included ripping ceiling out of my bedroom without notice and they just threw all of my stuff into the middle of my room and got dust EVERYWHERE. I spent hours and hours cleaning up the dust and couldn't stay in my apartment because of how unhealthily dirty it was during the project and was offered no alternative housing. When I complained they first told me they'd give me a pro-rated refund of my rent for the duration of the project. When it was supposedly all done and clean, I returned to find trash lying around, the plastic tarps just thrown around and I had to pick it all up myself. I complained and was told that they couldn't touch my personal belongings and the crew had done the cleaning they were responsible for. Either the management team did not even walk the apartments to ensure the cleanup was done, or did and didn't mind leaving piles of dust and trash all over my stuff. So I guess I paid rent for that month to NOT live there and to spend an entire night cleaning up and trying not to breath in drywall debri. read more

Worst place to live ever since the new managment (AMP) took over. The staff is very rude, unfriendly and unprofessional. They are looking how to increase the pricings be very careful before moving out because they will try their best to deduct the deposit by making up stuff. They tried to overcharge me by saying that I did not return the keys on time so they tried charging me for overstaying. Extreme irresponsibility and insolent office staff who definitely can be called crook! We signed the waiting list for the beginning of September and pay their 300 dollars for deposit. They promised they would give back our money if no apartment offered to us on time. But the fact is they did not offer the apartment we want on time and they DID NOT GIVE BACK OUR MONEY! The reasons they give us were they called us and leave a voice mail, which we did not receive at all. "I assume the phone was worked because I left a voice mail" "I did not make it up, I really want you guys live here." Those ridiculous words directly come from their crook staff without one word change. The insincerity of their staff makes me feel disgusting. If they really want we stay at this community, they will connect us through both email and phone. I really believe that what they really want is money. It is totally a HOAX! So be careful, keep your phone full of battery and never out of service if you signed their waiting list, because they would charge you for that. read more

Has gone done in the last six months. New Owners. I called on Monday am saying my dryer wasn't working. I called again on Wednesday. Now Thursday with not maintenance technician. Lawn workers moved my Direct TV dish and didn't tell me. I spent three hours tring to resolve an issue without knowint the real problem. read more

Extreme irresponsibility and insolent office staff. We signed an application for leasing an apartment and paid the deposit too. But, we didn't hear back from them regarding the status of our application not even by our expected joining date. When we tried to contact them regarding the status of our application, the call goes to VM and no one got back to us. After many calls and emails, all we came to know was that the Manager was on leave.So, they couldn't process our application on time and they promised that they will refund our deposit. It's been more than three months but we didn't get our money back. There is no response from them when we are trying to reach them regarding our refund. The insincerity of their staff makes me feel disgusting. I really believe that what they really want is money. It is totally a HOAX! So be careful. Better not to write an application at this community. You might loose your money for no mistake of yours. read more
