Playgrounds, picnic tables under a huge picnic pavilion, a basketball court and a disk golf course round out the other goings on here. Oh, and a dog park. the local park has amazing features for people of all ages. there are multiple stone picnic tables…read moreat the park, a feature i was especially grateful for yesterday when i'd only brought a bath towel to use for picnic seating. though i'd have been content with the picnic table towel for seating, the table was a welcome accommodation, both for allowing me to stay off the grass, and keeping me from dirtying the towel. for the picnic, i'd brought a couple slices of watermelon my mom bought at the store, to celebrate the spring transitional weather. then, after eating the watermelon slices, i'd used chalk in watermelon colors to promote the yelp review, and express an openness in meeting up with parkgoers or review readers to hang out at the park, a place where i've met multiple kind people, both people i'd met previously and people i met for the first time at the park. and lastly, after writing in chalk on the picnic table, i'd also wrote a sort of fragmented poem in chalk on the basketball court, of which the sight brung to mind the association i've got between the halfcourt basketball area and the double rimmed goal on it. that is one among multiple appeals to me from the park.

There is a small playground for younger kids and a bigger one for older kids. It has a spongy waking surface made of recycled rubber, so it soften off possible falls. Parking is only along the curb, usually best on 29th street. There are trash cans and a dog litter dispenser.

I love all the morning yoga instructors; Trish, Jeana & Kristi. They are all so nice and so kind, I feel so welcomed and at peace when I go to yoga. Even during heated yoga where most everyone is super fit, I feel like I belong and that I am not being judged. I love the gym and feeling so welcomed has made me love going. It's my favorite time of the day, the few days a week that I have been going. It's so nice to feel like I can finally make the change for my health because the facilities are clean, the staff are extremely nice & the classes are so helpful when you can't afford the extra cost of personal training.

Glaring discrepancies: - the men's bathroom stalls don't stay locked efficiently and have a peek-a-poo gap you can use both eyes to see through. They'll spend money on fake plants, yet won't fix what's needed (this applies to other issues as well) - so far this summer, the outside "hot tub" is either disgusting, jets don't work, flooded with kids under 12 (there's a rule against that), or it's closed off - when it's busy, you'd swear no one in the greater Tulsa area is going to any other gym at that moment - it's succumb to the "Premium" disease. Some things you can't do unless you pay more - and a general membership is already pricey - if you want to play pickleball - good luck. They change the schedule of when the courts are available for whatever types of players. If it's free play, you might end up waiting awhile before you play again. There's only 3 courts. That's all for now. I'm sure there's other issues. Those are just from my lens. Two stars simply because it has so many services. Think "Costco" of gyms. It's got a dystopian feel and it's up to you how much kool aid you want to drink.

I just haven't had time to go and it looks like life will be busy for me until next January, so I am canceling my membership. When I called the business office to ask if I could put my membership on hold for a few months, the lady who answered the phone was rather rude. I asked about pausing my membership and she said in a harsh rather scolding tone that I couldn't cancel a membership over the phone but would have to go in. I told her I didn't ask about cancelling but pausing. She said there's no pausing, again in a harsh tone. I might join again when I have more time. I had been told a couple of years ago that I could pause for a couple of months. I guess they changed that policy.
