I scheduled an appointment for 8am and when I got there (7:52am), the elevator was locked and wouldn't go up to their floor and their phone number said they were closed. I tried to get for the next 20 minutes in case the elevator unlocked at 8 or something or someone would pick up the phone, but I wasn't able to get in and the phone number still said they were closed. It's quite a hassle for me to get here at 8am and it turns out there wasn't anyone there even though I scheduled the appointment the previous day for "tomorrow at 8am"? WTF? Google Maps and Yelp both list this place as opening at 8am, but it turns out that's only if it's your lucky day.

In fact, her warmth, her intelligence, her insight... everything made me feel grateful for humanity, for being understood and accepted, flaws and all, by a fellow human. It didn't seem she was trying to be kind, and yet, her kindness just emanates from within, warming my heart whenever I spoke to her. For background, when we met with Irina we already consulted another therapist. My husband was angry at me, for reasons I couldn't quite grasp. I felt blamed for everything that's not quite my fault, and the near perfect marriage I thought I had was just about to crumble, and I was stung and confused, to say the least. The line between reality and narrative was blurred. I'd never had a crisis like this in my life, and I didn't know what to believe in. I was sure I was guilty of something, but what could it be? How could it come to this, and what could be done? And even if something could be done, why was he so angry? Would there be a respite in his anger to allow some hope of remedy? And how could one right a wrong that's not committed, and acknowledge the truth in a narrative that's not factual? I'm grateful that Irina gave us the guidance and returned the calmness to us, so that we could work on things with some footing on earth. We are still married, things are mostly calm, with much less anger and confusion. I credit Irina for the opportunity to work on my marriage, because despite the challenges, and us both being mere mortals with flaws and scars and perhaps even open wounds, there is still love and that has meaning. I don't know if Irina ever reads her reviews. Or even if she does, I trust she'd not remember me as she must have seen so many couples. But I've been wanting to write this for a while. I feel I couldn't quite express my gratitude and let her know what differences she made during these sessions. It might even come across as disingenuous if I did? But this is what I truly feel about her. Before speaking to her I wasn't even quite sure about therapists as a profession in general, but after meeting her I now know there is true gem in the profession, and it does make great differences in people's lives.

But here's what makes them unique - They are very focused on your personal progress. They actually remember where you left off in the previous session. You get their solo attention for the full session ( no multiple clients at the same time) and they seemingly possess a never ending list of creative and different exercises aimed at getting you back to your healthy and active self. I came into PT feeling pretty bad about my injury and its limitations but I was constantly encouraged and surrounded by positivity-it made all the difference in my recovery! They either chose to leave or you got rid of them. Rapha got rid of my chiropractor, Mark , who was wonderful. He was a god send who helped me so much. He was let go. I think the facilities dwindling visitation is the inconsistency. It's not good when your staff is coming and going so quickly. As of late, there is no one in there when I go. Why? Why did everyone leave? When the staff your patients love leave , your patients will leave too. Make it an environment that felt like it used to. It doesn't have that feel any longer.
