I don't understand the low ratings for TriCounty Orthopedics. I've been to several doctors there for sports injuries and other issues over the past ~10 years. Always fantastic. Dr Montgomery replaced my ACL - still great after 10 yrs. They've treated other issues or told me things I should work on. Highly recommended. Even the walk-in clinic experience was solid. Dr Forbes is solid & you can 100% trust his opinions & confidently know that you are in excellent hands! His staff is dedicated & very friendly. I have never had to wait more than a few min for my appts. He replace BOTH my hips! And I was thrilled w the results. I also loved that he said as long as I walked everyday - PT would t be necessary- I was 54 for my right hip & 56 for for the right side. I feel great & have had NO pain since he worked his magic! Plus I when I needed to speak to him for anything, he is reliable & call.s you back! I'm happy to give him 5 stars - well deserved! Highly recommend Dr Aaron Forbes !!! Make an appt & don't hesitate - the longer you wait to have your hips fixed the worse the pain becomes . Saw Dr. Mark McBride for a Worker's Comp case. This is the definition of a total quack and Insurance Company puppet. Takes X-rays which do not show soft tissue injury and was very nasty, rude and condescending. Beware of these insurance company hacks and get your own doctors that really read MRI's and do not pick and choose what to say and agree to. Two OT Therapists have discharged me early because of ongoing injury. read more

I love Dr Shearin and Dr Dunn. But my recent experience with Dr Forbes was less than stellar. He could do absolutely nothing for my pain in my hip. So much so, he didn't charge me for the appointment, and I have to wait another 3 weeks to see another Dr. But besides his uselessness, I read the write up he did on my appointment. His remarks were old person, old issues. This man should be c reprimanded on his comments. He kept insisting it was skeletal when I know its muscular. I may be older than him but I am in better shape than he will ever be in. read more

Had a very poor experience at Tri County today. Won't be going back. It's a factory for sure. I had an 11 am appointment to see Dr. Willis. After waiting for almost 2 hours, I finally walked out without being seen. Very frustrating! I checked-in several times during my wait with a handful of the staff including the PA. All were sympathetic and apologized, however none of them proactively came to me during the wait to explain there would be such a long delay. When I checked in at 11 am, they could have easily said, "Sorry we're running behind today, come back in an hour and a half". Perhaps the doctors are good however the customer service is terrible. We're fortunate to have a lot of good orthopedics in this area. I'll be going to someone else. read more

I went to see Dr. Hunt today for my knee and let me just say his bedside manner was amazing. Very empathetic and sweet. It's been a while since I have experienced this. Very personable and made me feel confident saying that we will figure this out. Also, the staff was so helpful and friendly. Huge plus in my books! read more

Went to walk in clinic and they couldn't look at my son's injury because they were at full capacity.

I was very happy with the walk in clinic when my child was having pain in a joint. He was seen and treated and it was great. Then I called today seeking an appointment for another child with pain in a similar joint that was getting worse. They didn't have anything for a month so I said oh maybe I can just take her to the clinic. And the receptionist was very short with me and said absolutely not that is for acute pain from injuries only. That is not what the website describes at all. I'm not sure why they would actively turn away business for the doctors this way. So instead I called the orthos across the street from them and they were able to fit her right in as well as tell me she would've been welcome at their walk in clinic! read more

Horrible to say the least!!! This is probably the WORST place to get any type of competent care from. I cannot explain enough the incompetence at TRI COUNTY ORTHOPEDIC! From double billing ... incorrect appointments..... sending us to other Tri County locations for appointments.... To the last straw when we were forced to leave due to another obligation while waiting OVER AN HOUR AND A HALF to be seen by Dr. Andrew A. Willis! Not only were they completely unorganized. The staff was totally and utterly rude...laughing at the very fact that they fully knew we were upset having waited soo long. The staff appears to be straight out of high school! After a 40 minute wait in the waiting room ...watching others who came after us be called in.... We were finally brought to a room. . After another 15 minutes left in this hot stuffy room we are now told we are being moved to "another room where the Dr. can do a better exam".... What a joke.... As we are now left in another stuffy room 30 MORE minutes go by at which time I had to pop my head out for air and ask WHERE IS THIS DOCTOR???? "You're next" (with attitude) is what we are told.... As I leave the door open in hopes of breathing a little air ...I am floored by the same clueless girl who appears to be around 17 years old ...slam the door shut on us. Guess we were too loud during this clown doctor doing voice notes on OUR TIME!! At this point I was deliriously upset and could no longer take waiting ...AGAIN...WHILE LISTENING TO THIS DR MAKING NOTES IN THE HALLWAY!!!! How absolutely UNPROFESSIONAL this was!!! Not to mention if you can't even keep a schedule what would make anyone think you could perform any type of surgery not to mention would want such a pompous ass doctor like this to perform it!!!! This Dr. and his staff were the bottom of the barrel! They glared AT US ...one rolling her eyes...as they watched us walk out..... sorry but that treatment is unacceptable to me and not for nothing but....rotator cuff surgery is not that difficult Dr. Willis!!!! The person who answered my call to schedule an appointment as a new patient says none of their doctors are back surgeons. For normal Orthopedic procedures, this practice could work. However for anything slightly different - please get a second opinion. I used to be a big fan of this organization however after my daughter's patella surgery, I realized they are just not experienced as a more mainstream group such as: HSS in NYC or Rothman Orthopedic in PA. The doctor here failed in the surgery and we had to have the procedure repeated. The experience at HSS was much more smooth, organized and well, top notch. For normal stuff, Tri County could work but only for normal procedures. read more

I was initially seen successfully by a particular doctor whom recommended a further MRI (completed). Upon returning to said doctor a month afterwards I am convinced that upon entering the patient room the doctor did not know my name or diagnosis. They seemed distracted and I (with no medical background) felt as though I guided the conversation. I eventually and awkwardly said my name and DOB to kindly suggest that perhaps the practitioner was "off" and was confusing me with another person. I told said practitioner that I am on a certain medication (daily) and then they proceeded to write in a prescription for me that adversely DOUBLED UP on my daily medication! I did not take the medication. I called my GP and was told how "alarming" this was (putting that mildly). I am unhappy to say the least. Also, staff told me that my physical therapy script would be sent to my pharmacy. Call me crazy but that is not how one receives a physical therapy script. In other words it was laughable. Do as you will with this review but just be mindful in all means of care. read more

I scheduled an appointment to see Dr. Michael Goldberger for a foot injury I sustained the day before. I had X-rays done the day of the injury which indicated a fracture in my foot. During my appointment with Dr. Goldberger he spent almost no time with me (I spent more time completing the intake forms) and gave an absurd diagnosis which could only lead me to believe he ignored looking at the X-rays. To say I was unimpressed with his care is to say the least. I followed up with my primary doctor who referred me to another orthopedist for treatment. Thankfully at the new orthopedist's office I received the treatment needed for a fractured foot. Not too sure if Dr. Goldberger was having an off day or what, but I do know I would recommend seeking treatment elsewhere if you want someone to actually care about diagnosing your injury accurately and help you. read more

He refused to call the insurance provider who denied a request for an MRI, even though our insurance said that the MRI could be covered if Dr. Wendel called for a per-to-peer consultation. This review is for the Jefferson office. I met with Dr. Donna at the end of October because I was having back pain. He recommended physical Therapy. The first few physical therapy places I have called do not accept my insurance. I called back today (November 17th) to ask for additional PT offices, and Dr. Donna has apparently left the group. I received no letter, or notice of this. Now I have to go back to another Dr. to be reevaluated , and given another RX for physical therapy. When I spoke with the office manager, she made no effort to find an earlier appointment for me. I am in pain and the office is unprofessional, and really didn't seem concerned. Find an office that communicates and cares about their patients, because this one, does not. read more

I went to see Dr. Jonathan W. Shearin about some problems I was having with my wrist. Being a new patient with this practice, I specifically asked the receptionist if my insurance would be accepted. She assured me it was. The doctor advised me I should get two hand braces to help correct the problem, which I did, understanding that my insurance would cover the cost as the nurse explained. Then I got my bill in the mail and found out that my insurance was not paying anything. I tried contacting the doctors billing department for almost 3 weeks and leave a voicemail, but never got a call back to find out where the disconnect was, after many phone calls I get in contact with the supervisor and all I was told was that I had to pay the bill. To make matters worse, I was charged $554.92 per two braces, and I found the exact same brace on Amazon for $45.00 each. I would recommend trying another Orthopedic practice or get ready to pay good amount in bill. read more

2 months ago I took my son to this facility to see a orthopedic, surgeon was good with my son's checkup and then he gave my son a knee brace to wear and I thought it's a part of my doc visit and they should have checked with insurance if it covers. But they didn't bother to check with insurance and it was not covered. Today I received a huge amount of bill from the brace company saying I have to pay the rest of the amount after my insurance paid and online this brace cost half of this amount... when I spoke to my doctor office they say they cannot do anything about that because I signed some paper work and you have to talk to that medical supply company not us.. so my loss is my loss But this should not repeat again with any other person... so when you guys visit this office please buy the medical supply from outside or else be prepared to get a good amount in bill. read more

You can do much better. Over a two year period I saw Dr Lombardi for 9 minutes. No help and no plan.

Where do I begin? I saw Dr. Epstein to look at my ankle. I had a precious surgery due to a bad break that needed emergency surgery, unfortunately, after trying different approaches with my PT .. about 8 months in was in soo much pain. Long story short need a screw removed and tendon repair. From the minute he stepped in the office room, he was calm very personable. Surgery went great, tendon was worse than expected but that was a possibility discussed precious to surgery. He and Zach his PA explained everything so thoroughly. My mind was at ease for the surgery. Cannot thank him and his office staff for getting me in quick. Surgery was scheduled 2 weeks after appointment. Also, to my mom today to the walk in clinic due to shoulder and hip pain. We saw Cameron, one of the PA's. She was terrific, sat and listened to my moms complaints, did multiple X-rays, reviewed them throughly with us. She ended up needing a cortisone injection but still put her mind at ease. We thought it was going to be much worse. I would easily recommend Dr. Epstein and Cameron. read more

I made sure to read all related comments. AGREED, THERE IS A TOTAL LONG WAIT. EVERY TIME!!! and the communication is crappy. It has been over a year since my knee surgery. I thought I paid all of my bills. I was skeptical when months later they sent a balance. I wasn't sure about it, I was convinced we had paid, as they insist you pay before hand at their surgery center. It did go to collections. I asked for documentation...which they did send...although it showed only a time sheet and required explanation and I had to follow up with phone calls. I'm sure most people get frustrated and leave it be. I accepted their assertion, and made arrangements with the collections guy to pay three installments. Shock many weeks/months later I get a call from Tri County Billing to handle the matter. I pressed the woman a bit on the phone. I said, this bill should be shown as PAID! It went to collections and I finished paying my installments. OHHHH..she says...you can disregard that. OK..that's great, IF ONLY I COULD !!! AFTER that conversation, weeks/months later, I see a billing...they WANT more money...and a different smaller amount. WTF? MY bill reads "This may be and oversight on your part." Let me start by saying that family has used many of the doctors at Tri-County, for various reasons over the years, and they have all been very professional, caring, experienced and helpful to us. HOWEVER, the office visits - when not scheduled for early morning - can consume HOURS. The last post-op checkup my husband was scheduled for last week was for 12:15pm - and we had another obligation scheduled at 1:30. We figured the office visit would be a 5 minute inspection of the healing and that the full office experience would be 30-40 minutes, giving us plenty of time to get to the next. When we checked in at 12:10 no indication was given to us that the office was way behind schedule. At 30 minutes in the waiting room I went to ask the desk staff how much longer it would be as we had another obligation scheduled. She assured me that there was only 1 more patient ahead of us (this turned out to be a lie). Around this time another patient was also getting upset and was told that her they were just waiting for a room in her doctors' section. Hmmm. At 45 minutes waiting - and 3 additional patients called for our doctor I went up again and was told the same thing - as were now approaching being late to the next appointment - and had no idea how long we'd wait in the exam room - I asked to reschedule. The receptionist I was working with then went to "take a look" at the situation and disappeared. I waited an additional 5 minutes for her to return and when she didn't I went to another receptionist and asked to reschedule. She had told the other woman that they were waiting for a room and now she told me the same thing. I insisted that we were now going to be late to our next appointment and that we would like to reschedule. We were close to one hour past our scheduled time. I commented that if I showed up one hour past my time, I'd not be seen. I was told by the reception staff that they were not responsible and to bring it to the doctors. Actually - in an office that size and scope - it is really up to the managing staff, not the doctors, to keep on top of how the days' schedule is going. It is NOT unreasonable to expect that there will be times when a doctor needs to spend additional time with people. It is up to the office staff to manage people's expectations - and lying is really sending the message that the office staff could care less about patients'/customers' time. Pro tip - If the office is running behind, call people to either reschedule or delay their arrival and set the lateness expectation. It is not appropriate, nor the sign of excellence in business practices to just string people along. read more

I would leave 0 if I could. You walk in the place and it's like an ER nightmare. I counted 57 in the waiting room. Why did I count? because I was waiting for 2 hours TWO HOURS!! I finally get called back and the Dr. spent maybe 3 minutes with me. He looked at previous X-rays and said "no break, wear a boot for 1-3 weeks call back in 10 days if you are still in pain" No exam WHAT SO EVER of my leg and foot. Sure he glanced at it but never tried to move it to see where the pain was stemming from. The reason for my visit: I had a BAD fall and after over a week it was still swollen, extremely painful and numb in one area. The general Dr. I saw was extremely concerned about how bad it looked, the swelling and the numbness. I told this Dr about her concerns and he response was "well you're swollen, so yeah" PS - I can't wear the boot because so much pain is in my calf...he wouldn't know that because he never checked. It's hard to review an orthopedic practice when there are several doctors all with their own set of patients. This front end staff here are top notch, however, that's where the good service ended for me. My ortho doctor was Dr. McBride. Long story short, a broken pinky finger led to three office visits thus far. In fact, I'm writing this review as I wait on that third visit. You can probably see where this is going. Out of three visits, two of them have resulted in around a two hour wait for the doctor, that is, two hours after scheduled appointment time. Upon finally seeing the doctor, I have been greeted with a man that talked through me rather than to me. I was hoping the extra wait time would result in a more personal service, but that is not the case. Dr. McBride treats me more like I'm on an assembly line than a person. I've seem him twice now (waiting on that third), and both times the doctor spent less than 15 minutes with me. Apparently, my time is not valuable or important to him. End result of my pinky is still TBD, so I can't speak to the actual medical treatment I received. I also can't speak about the other doctors here, however, when faced with an appointment with Dr. McBride, I highly recommend finding someone else. read more

I would recommend trying another orthopedic practice. I tried to make an appointment for my wife who has a wrist fracture. I was unable to even speak to a representative to make an appointment. I then left my name and number and nobody from the practice even called me back. Fortunately, there are plenty of other orthopedists in the area. My experience here made me feel like my injury wasnt important and they didnt really care about me. I was asked to be there 15 min early but had to wait for over an hour to be seen. Dr stevens rushed in talking very fast for about 5 min and half of that was spent talking about his own back injury. He tells me he is sending me somewhere else to get epidural injections but will give me a little something to get me by until then and then i was rushed up front to checkout.I left with only the promise that i would be contacted about my appointment. My sister went with me & was shocked at how uncaring he was. A month went by and i had heard nothing so i call back to tri county ortho and leave a message, that was a month ago! No one has bothered calling me back, its two months later and i'm still in pain every day, then i get a bill for over $200! For what? You didnt do anything but a bunch of fast talking, it takes me DAYS to earn that much money which isnt easy with my back pain, some days i have to have help putting on pants and shoes. My son had an appointment with Dr. Widman over a month ago and had blood work a week thereafter. It has been over a month and noone has called with results. I called again last week and was told they "must have missed seeing the results came in several weeks prior, but the Dr is away until Wednesday." She said someone else will call with results Monday. Today is Thursday and still noone has called. I called back again today and was told Gabrielle will call me back. I can see from the Labcorp patient portal that there is indeed an issue indicating Rheumatoid Arthritis on my 20 year old son. This is totally unacceptable and inexcusable. They couldn't care less about the patients. It's really a shame. When I told Dr I was unhappy that my injury prevented me from participating in my sport, he says "Well do you get payed to play your sport? Sorry but to some people money is not everything. Thoroughly fed up with Tri-County Orthopedics. Went there to clinic about one month ago and got no relief to excruciating pain from a torn groin. Had to wait 10 days to see doctor again because schedule was full. When I got there I had to wait 1 1/2 hour to see doctor and woman who walked out ahead of me thanked the receptionist "seeing me today," which led me to believe she was squeezed in and that's why I had to wait so long. Today I called at 9:00 a.m. because the right groin pain transferred to left buttocks and again the pain is excruciating. It I 10:30 and I'm still waiting to hear if I can come in for an injection or prescription. I've gone for physical therapy and to a chiropractor. Cannot stop the pain. Many years ago I was a patient of Dr. McBride when he was on Hanover Ave., and he treated me with the utmost care and professionalism. Tri-County is not what it used to be.
