Bravo has a great range of beer on tap and some wild cocktail concoctions I have never seen before, so maybe I'm a little naïve in my opinion of it being a more controlled environment. Still, I feel it's a place to sling back a few beers, have a chat with mates, and either push on to a wilder destination or call it a night. Either way, it makes for a pretty good pit stop you can just wander in to along Brunswick Street.

But it didn't get in the way of me making my order, which was one of their tasty sounding 'Shish tawouk kebab' -- chicken skewer, pickles, lettuce, tomato, onion & garlic mayo in Lebanese bread. I've never had a kebab with pickles on it before, and I have to say -- I'm converted! The tartness of the pickles and crunch of marinated mustard-seeds went well with the garlic mayo (a similar combination that you find in Western hamburgers). The chicken pieces were tender and expertly cooked. Their bread is good quality too -- chewy and strong enough to hold its contents; no fuss no muss. At $8 it's about the same as a yiros across the road (although you get a bigger portion for your money), and as the guy serving me pointed out, it's traditional Middle-Eastern cuisine, as opposed to the Greek take you get at Char Char. They have some really interesting looking items on the menu I'd like to try, such as their walnut labne, chicken fahita and charcoal-cooked whole chicken (served w/ garlic dip & Lebanese bread). They also have an outdoor courtyard (still having the final touches put on but operational nonetheless) where you can take your meal. Our wings came out on a small dish with some garlic dip, and two pieces of pita bread. The wings were in truth, quite flavourless. They had some heat to them, but I wouldn't count heat as 'flavour'. The Lamb shish wasn't a large meal as it suggests in the menu listing: "2 charcoal cooked lamp rump skewers, 1 vege skewer, creamy yogurt sauce, served with rice, garden salad and wood fired bread". It wasn't presented well, nor was it flavourful or filling. One thing I would recommend from Arabella's is the Charcoal Chicken. You can purchase a perfectly blackened chook here for $14 (a half is $8). I'm not willing to give up on this place just yet. I'm going to go back and try out the kebabs. I've heard good reports about this place from around the traps, and so I'll probably give it another go. I could have just caught them on a bad night.

I recommend the Smoked Salmon pizza, an alternate take on the gourmet pizza, or the fried calamari, some of the freshest I have tasted in Brisbane. Prices range from $15-$25 for a main meal. The coffee has always been good. As experienced coffee drinkers understand, it's always handy knowing where you can find a good coffee. The baristas at Caffe Primavera certainly make a great coffee, using Merlo as their supplier. Always a good temperature, and never burnt; exactly what you want out of a coffee.

The sliders were super disappointing, all super dry. If we hadn't ordered those we would have needed another shared plate to compensate. All the food coming out of the kitchen looked good, I wish we had tried the prawns instead. The staff are attentive enough and when we had dinner they worked well considering that there were a number of other 'larger' groups eating and ordering at the same time. There are a lot of options on the menu, however, as pointed out by a previous review considering the options there are only 2 vegetarian options and no Gluten Free options. After heading up to the counter to order your meal and waiting for it to be served (not too long a wait) we all tucked into what appeared to be a delicious meal. I ordered the chicken parma. While the plate had a tasty salad and chips and the chicken schnitzel was cooked fine it was bland. I don't usually add salt and pepper but this really needed it. The ham used was shredded generic pizza ham and the tomato sauce came from a bottle and was also probably pizza sauce. Fine for a pub meal but had Much Much better from other pubs.

It's a great concept for a bar, put a loading bay where any food truck can drive into and then serve food. I'm assuming different trucks will be there at times but at this stage it's just the Red Robin. There are hay bales and milk crates to cater for those who can't get a seat at one of the tables. There is a great selection of beers on top including Sierra Nevada and a Watermelon from goatbeer. It's already getting a cult following from the Morningside locals. Definitely worth a visit!
